Shoujo Hater-Chapter 72 - 67: The Penguin Tyrant
Lin and Moo kept wandering and skating deeply until Moo's thoughts snapped and started growing about escaping and getting his revenge, and so on. The baboon started directing toward a place as he remembered seeing a massive ocean there; probably that was the only option to escape from this part of their current position in Nivara.
He had already seen a dark, endless place underneath, meaning it contained only water or it would be a valley, but he excluded it being a valley because valleys should have an end, and here there was no end, so the only right answer should be the ocean. And what made him sure this place was an ocean was the special wind coming from there.
As Lin continued skating fast, his blue eye activated as he detected the place that Moo had directed his fingers to; it was already a few kilometers away.
Lin increased his skating pace so he would have a chance to escape alive and would not have a dramatic escape like in movies, escaping in the last seconds before the dark matter devoured him.
But fate did not like Lin's attitude of wanting everything the way he wanted, and that was how Lin's thoughts were interrupted by the same massive gorilla and leopard trying to catch him and Moo.
He used his dagger, tightened it around a tree, and made a full massive rotation, sending himself flying and widening the distance between him and the two hungry followers.
"Haaaaa!!!"
The baboon screamed as his brain could not manage all the insane movements Lin did.
Lin's speed increased as he settled down; he had already escaped them. And now he only had to slide down the glassy snow to be near his destination.
As he took a long breath, he started descending.
The baboon next to him was paralyzed from what Lin did.
As Lin started descending, he saw a penguin standing in his path.
"This will make me fall," Lin muttered, amused by that sudden surprising obstacle.
He splashed some poison inside his mouth and spat it onto the penguin's body.
"Sorry for you, but the animal organization isn't here to save you. So fuck up everything that tries to stop me from escaping."
"Zicoooooo!!!!!"
A voice startled Lin from behind, but he ignored it.
As he rolled in the sky, he continued descending at high speed.
The fallen penguin was pulled up by one of the four. "Who is that damn bastard that interrupted our plans?"
The voice belonged to the leader of the penguins, Pitler.
Usually, to survive in Nivara, you needed one of three things.
Either you had a strong clan,
Or you were smart enough to survive,
Or you were lucky.
"Smart" here meant either you were alone and highly talented, or you were moving as a group.
And those five penguins, Jarvis, Zico, Pitler, Piddy, and Pimpi, were the definition of evolved animals in this world.
They managed to survive, and not just that.
They had built advanced equipment long ago to escape this place.
They were walking disasters.
And accidentally, they had finished everything about releasing and testing their flying submarine, but Lin interrupted their plan.
And that luck only applied to the baboon; the rest of his life was already bad.
So at least fate did not hate him completely.
As the five penguins stood, they started operating their moving helicopter.
Albert operated the process.
The flying submarine started rising higher and higher.
It featured four famous penguins who were clearly their idols, inspired by the team from Madagascar.
A massive sound started generating.
"We succeeded, Pitler."
"Don't be enthusiastic, Jarvis. We need to calm ourselves. Our three year project has worked, but it does not mean we have succeeded yet."
Hey Zico, remember this human's face, because if we ever catch him again, we are going to turn him into a female tuna."
Leaving Nivara, the massive helicopter above Lin made him use his dagger to stop skating and start shouting to the flying machine as a gesture that he needed help, thinking it contained humans who could help him. Even though it was strange to find a helicopter in this world, this was not important for Lin right now compared to escaping in a better way, since all he smelled and predicted was the ocean, and he might have to swim for a long time.
Pitler saw Lin, his hand resting at his back, and asked Zico, "Is that him?"
Zico muttered while nodding, "kkkkkkkk."
"Oh, let's send him a beautiful present since he interfered with us."
"Jarvis, use Bombito Asmendo on this place."
"But captain, we would lose one of our five weapons."
"The family."
"But captain—"
"I said, the family. Don't worry. Just bomb this guy, Jarvis."
The Bombito Asmendo.
"Ok, captain."
Jarvis pressed the red button.
A massive bomb was released above Lin.
As Lin looked at the sky, he saw a massive bomb falling with a tuna skeleton.
"Damn! Is that a nuke?"
As Lin looked carefully, he saw Pitler gesturing with his hand at him.
Lin raised his middle finger at him.
He raised his dagger and sent a massive black slash that penetrated the bomb, causing it to bleed massively from the inside, and damaged the flying machine.
"Pitler, we underestimated this human. Our five year plan has been destroyed."
Pitler hit a table inside the machine.
"This human… we are going to get revenge soon. This is the second time we have been tricked by them, the first when they got us some Latina women."
"We may have failed at flying for now, guys. We will return to our original plan. Activate the swimming mode."
They controlled the machine until Jarvis activated the swimming mechanism, sending them plunging into the eastern part of the ocean, the opposite direction of Lin's current destination, where they quickly sank.
"Lo siento, lmonde," the penguins muttered to their helicopter.
Lin took a long breath.
"Are these some smart penguins? They give me the same vibe as that African penguin show. That's insane."
As Lin's mental focus started drifting right and left, he heard the massive gorilla and leopard still following him, but they were not alone. They were both followed by a group of wolves that had started planning to hunt Lin.
Fuck off, it turned from solo to duo to a whole fucking squad!
He continued his slide as they started nearing him.
He saw that his other hand was still holding the baboon.
"Oh, you act as if you are dead. Anyway, you don't have any use for me. So give me your last favor. We are followed by two. So we will share them."
Lin threw the blue baboon toward the massive gorilla.
"Go and fight your ancestors!"
"Maahahahhaha! You bastard human! You betrayed me!"
Moo started shouting, but Lin did not care to understand his language, because all his talking to Lin was translated into strange sounds like "grahhhhh" and "Mahhhhh."
The baboon's face turned mad, almost crazy, as he found himself in front of the gorilla.
The gorilla tried hitting him and went mad.
The baboon started running in another direction as the gorilla followed him.
"Maaaahahgraaaawaa!"
The wolves and the leopard continued following Lin.
But Lin gave them a body feint, making them hit three trees, collapse together, and start fighting each other.
Lin continued as he neared the edge. He activated his eyes and saw trap illusion loopholes in the ground at the last second. There were big snowy worms whose mouths were covered by snow to hunt.
Lin's instincts kicked in as his speed pushed him forward. He could not slide upward because the slope was too steep. Changing direction would send him straight into more deadly loopholes. Attacking the traps from a distance was not an option either since it would alert the other snowy worms and make the situation even more dangerous than it already was.
And that was how Lin decided to be more manly and use his body reflexes to escape the current loophole that was right in front of him.
"Damn it! I think I am cooked!"
Lin jumped from Isphyrlya's body as a massive snowy worm caught it in a second.
He was already falling like a cannonball. Lin clutched his dagger tightly as he plummeted from the sky, his screams growing louder, echoing with each passing second.
And so Lin, who had gambled his life to kill Isphyrlya, was now paying the price for his greed, plummeting into the dark depths of Nivara. One thought consumed him: would he survive this fall or could he summon some miracle to pull himself through? Now everything rested in his hands, survive or death.
