Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 2138: Reinforcements arriving

It seemed like there was nothing that the forces of Destruction could do.

Even if it seemed like a battle of attrition, it didn’t seem like they were able to match the enhanced relic users.

It even seemed like the gaps weren’t being filled enough after a certain point.

Seeing this, it really felt like the forces of Destruction hadn’t prepared enough.

But at the same time, it felt strange that there was nothing else that was showing itself.

After all, it really felt like there should have been more things that would have appeared. At the very least, it felt like there should have been some kind of Apostle of Destruction that showed themselves.

They were the ones that led the forces of Destruction after all, so it was strange that they weren’t here at all.

But as time passed, it really didn’t feel like the Apostles of Destruction would be able to do anything at this rate. After all, there were people that were slowly showing up.

From high up, we could see that there were groups that were gathering around the capital.

These were the reinforcements from the various countries of the racial alliance that had shown up after dealing with their own crisis. They had shown up because they knew that the main battle would be in this place with how the corruption energy monsters gathered here.

However, they didn’t attack right away even though they approached the capital.

Instead, they all gathered around the capital as if they were preparing for something.

I knew that they were all waiting for the others to show since there were just too many corruption energy monsters for them to break through right now. If they were to do anything, then it would mean that they would be swarmed instead and that wouldn’t help anyone.

Which was why they were waiting for more reinforcements to show up.

After a while, it seemed like there were enough reinforcements that had gathered and they finally charged forward.

When they did, they found that there was nothing that could stop them.

I knitted my brows the moment that I saw this.

"All of this is going too smoothly..."

It was a good thing that it was going smoothly, but I knew that this wasn’t right since I had felt that feeling of fear earlier. I knew that there had to be one of those two lurking inside of the forces of Destruction.

The fact that they hadn’t done anything until now made it seem like they were waiting for something to happen.

But nothing happened in the end as the reinforcements were able to push their way to the barrier. Once they reached the barrier, they turned around and grouped up with the relic users inside of the capital.

It seemed like they were planning on taking out all of the corruption energy monsters that had gathered here.

With how easily everything had gone, it was as if they had gained the confidence to deal with the corruption energy monsters.

But it was at that moment that everyone stagnated.

"I knew that it wouldn’t be that easy. But what are they thinking letting everyone gather like this? Are they planning on taking us all out like this?"

The more that I thought about it, the more anxious I couldn’t help feeling.

That was why I finally got on Joan’s back and flew down even though I was being hit face first with this sensation of fear. I knew that I had to stand with the others or else it would end badly.

When I landed, I found that there were pillars of corruption energy that suddenly appeared among the corruption energy monsters.

These pillars of corruption energy didn’t spread out all around the capital, rather they were gathered in a single spot. At the same time, it seemed like there was some kind of pattern between these pillars of corruption energy.

These pillars seemed to form some kind of array.

"Sh*t, they’re summoning something..." That was all that I could think of the moment that I saw this and I had Joan go up once more.

If they were planning on summoning something, then we had to stop it before it could descend.

Only it seemed like they had been planning this for a long time.

Even if Joan and I tried to stop it with her flame breath, there was nothing that we could do as the summoning finished before we could even release the flame breath.

Once the pillars disappeared, the sensation from before became even stronger.

It was the sensation of fear.

The moment that this sensation became stronger, I finally realized what they had been planning this entire time.

That first flash of that sensation of fear was a sign that they were up to something.

It was a sign that they were trying to get this array to work and that they had been working on it the entire time.

Everything that they had been doing up until now was building up to this moment.

Basically, they had been trying to stall for time with us.

Just like how we had been stalling for time for our reinforcement to appear, they had been stalling for time to finish channeling this array. And now it seemed like it was too late for us to stop it.

"Go back." I said to Joan as soon as I felt this.

Joan knew where I wanted her to go, so she didn’t hesitate at all as she went back to where Lupus was waiting for me.

Lupus already had the saddle on and had been waiting for me.

If we were going to stand any chance of fighting against the one that was coming, then I had to use everything that I had learned during this time. If I didn’t make full use of it, there was no telling what would happen to us.

"I’ve been waiting for this moment. Now that you’re all gathered here, time to show you despair."
