Though old man Lancelot’s slash had created a dent in the line of corruption energy monsters out there, it wasn’t as if this alone was enough to stop them.

There were countless corruption energy monsters that surrounded us and it didn’t take long for that gap to be closed.

However, it didn’t seem like the corruption energy monsters were planning on doing anything with how they just remained in place even though they had been hit with this slash.

It was clear that they were preparing for something, so all we could do was prepare to take this blow from them.

Seeing how they gathered their power like this, I knew that it wouldn’t be weak.

That was why I went over to the side where Arthur was sitting with the small dragon and said, "When they release their attack, release the barrier."

But to my surprise, the small dragon just shook its head as if it was refusing to do so.

Even Arthur shook his head in response to this as if he wouldn’t do it even if I forced him to.

There was a bit of shock that filled my heart seeing my son rebel against me like this, but I knew what he was thinking when he rejected this order. It was clear that he was keeping this barrier up because he wanted to protect everyone in the capital.

So with a sigh, I said, "Release it when you feel that it’s about to break."

After that first hit, all of the corruption energy monsters had all of their momentum stopped. At the same time, because they had all charged together, they were all grouped up as a result.

That was why it was easy for those that had been waiting to strike.

It wasn’t just a single attack that was released, it was several attacks that were released at the same time.

However, none of these attacks were inferior to the one that old man Lancelot released previously. In fact, it even seemed like in terms of pure energy, they had surpassed old man Lancelot.

All of these attacks just cut right through the large corruption energy monsters that had gathered around the capital.

After cutting through them, the divine energy inside of these attacks purified the corruption energy that remained. There wasn’t a single thing that they could do to resist all of this divine energy that was being thrown at them.

Standing on the walls with relics in hand were the ones that had released these attacks.

From the expressions on their faces, it didn’t seem like they had tired themselves at all with these powerful attacks. It was as if these attacks were normal for them with how relaxed they looked.

Though that wasn’t the truth since they certainly wouldn’t have been able to release these kinds of attacks previously.

If it wasn’t for all of the training that they had undergone with old man Lancelot, they certainly wouldn’t have been able to reach this level of power.

"It seems like all that time training them up was worth it." I said as I watched Alidus and the saintess among them.

Those two were among the first to follow me and the ones that had been training the most. So it was no wonder the attacks that they released were the strongest out of all the attacks that had been released.

It was just that this was far from over.

Even though the large corruption energy monsters that gathered had been destroyed, it wasn’t as if there was a lack of corruption energy monsters out there. Even though they had been destroyed, it didn’t take long for more of these large corruption energy monsters to form.

This time, it even seemed like the ones that formed were larger than the ones from before.

It seemed that whoever was out there controlling them was using even more power this time.

As expected of the forces of Destruction going all out, but that didn’t mean that we were done either.

The relic users hadn’t done anything before this because they had been saving their power for a moment like this. They had known that they would be needed at a time like this, which was why they didn’t hold back this time.

With the relic users in the lead, it didn’t take long for them to defeat these large corruption energy monsters.

In fact, it almost seemed easy with how quickly they went down.
