"I thought that it would be a world of ice since it was like that with the flame elementals, but it doesn't seem to be the case." I said out loud with everyone nodding in agreement.

In front of us was a world filled with water.

It could be said that this was an ocean with how it seemed endless.

The only land that was here was this patch of land that the entrance led out to.

Seeing this, we really didn't know where to start looking.

Well, that wasn't true since we did have an idea. It was just that it would be very hard for us to look in this place without the proper supplies.

The ones that would be able to help us the best would be the mermaids, but I doubt that they would even be able to make it to this place.

For that race that was sensitive to heat and required water, it would be hard for them to make it past the volcano region above this place. It would take a lot just to even get them to this world of water.

"If we can't bring them here, we'll have to ask them to create some kind of potion or magic item that will let us go under the water." I muttered to myself as I stared at all the water in front of us.

I could have pushed the water aside with Undine's power, but it really would have been hard for us since I had no idea how long it would take for us to find the water elementals. With how wide this place was, it really would take us a long time just to find anything.

So it wasn't certain that my mana would even last that long.

Not to mention that I didn't want to waste all that time since I would have to do this alone if I used Undine's powers. It wasn't as if I was strong enough to bring everyone along and let them spread out.

It really would be an endless search if I were to do this alone…

The more that I thought about this, the more of a headache I felt coming on.

The other places were easier to search since it wasn't as if we had to worry about breathing.

It was funny that water was the biggest challenge to us.

But still it wasn't as if this wasn't something that we could deal with.

All it would take is time to get the things we needed to deal with them here.

Only it felt like it was a shame to leave just like this.

It really felt like there was more that could have been done here before leaving…

That was why I summoned out Undine in the end.

When Undine appeared, it didn't say anything to me as it looked at the mass of water in front of us. After a long silence, it finally said, "Why are we here?"

I was surprised by the way that Undine said this since it seemed like it recognized this place.

Not only that, it seemed like there was a connection between Undine and this place that I didn't understand.

"Have you been here before?" I asked after taking a moment to gather myself.

But Undine just said with a simple shake of the head, "No, I've never been here before."

I couldn't help looking at Undine with a strange look when I heard this, but this really wasn't the time to be thinking about all of this. Instead, I just said, "Can you form a bubble of air around me?"

Undine normally would have done this on its own since it would know what I wanted, but it really seemed like it was dazed this time.

Even after I asked this, there was no reaction that came from Undine.

It was as if it was completely in a daze looking at the mass of water in front of us.

After a long silence, Undine finally said, "Do you really want to go under the water?"

I couldn't help being caught off guard once more.

Normally Undine would go along with what I wanted, but now it seemed like it really didn't want to go under the water.

I just couldn't understand what had happened between Undine and the water elementals that it would feel this way.

I had seen how the rock elementals thought about the spirits, but it didn't seem like it was that bad. At the same time, the other elementals didn't really seem to think that much about the spirits.

So for Undine to act this way…

"What had happened in the past that Undine doesn't even want to see these elementals again?"

I was feeling a bit of sympathy for Undine, but it also meant that it would be easier with Undine's help.

After all, since there was this past connection between Undine and the water elementals…

If I were to go into the water with Undine's power, then there was no doubt that the water elementals would be attracted. Though there was the risk of being harmed by them if the connection between them was bad.

But this was a risk that I was willing to take since it wasn't as if the water elementals would do anything to me. As long as I brought out the Mark of God, it should be fine since they would recognize it.

They would know that I was the only one that would be able to help them.

So that was why I said, "We have to go down. If we don't, they'll be in danger."

Undine looked at me with a complicated look, but eventually it said in a soft voice, "Alright."

With that, I dived into the water.

The moment that I was about to make contact with the water, it suddenly moved out of the way. It didn't take long for Undine to create a bubble of air around me.
