The reason that they thought that this was daylight robbery was all because of the prices from before.

Every single item that I bought so far was only paid for with low grade magic cores.

There wasn’t a single item that had even been worth a high grade magic core.

That was because a high grade magic core was equal to one hundred medium grade magic cores and each medium grade magic core was worth a hundred low grade magic cores.

That meant that the price of a hundred high grade magic cores was the equivalent of a million low grade magic cores.

This definitely was not something that I could afford.

So far, the highest price of an item had been a hundred low grade magic cores and this took a chunk of my wealth.

While I did have high grade magic cores, it wasn’t as if this was something that could be obtained that easily. Only monsters that were at A Rank or higher could have a chance of producing something like this.

And it wasn’t that high of a chance in the first place.

Just how many A Rank monsters would there be out there?

Because of the events that were instigated by the demons, I had been able to find two high grade magic cores and that was it. As for making up the rest with low grade magic cores or medium grade magic cores…

I definitely didn’t have enough.

Even medium grade cores only had a chance of being produced from monsters that were C Rank or higher and they weren’t that easy to defeat either. So it wasn’t that easy to gather medium grade cores either.

I only had around a hundred or so of them in my Storage Ring.

It really seemed like there was nothing that I could do about this, but I also wanted this.

Even if I didn’t know what this thing was, I knew that it wouldn’t be anything normal if it came from this Shop of Mysteries. It would certainly be some kind of special item that would have some kind of special hidden ability that would be useful later.

But it wasn’t as if I could rob this place.

There was a mysterious backer behind this Shop of Mysteries, which was why it had never been robbed in all of the history of this store. At the same time, I wanted to maintain a good relationship with this Shop of Mysteries in case I ever found it again.

So with a sigh, I said, "I don’t have enough, so I can’t buy it."

Klein and the others were looking at me like they wanted to take action, but I just shook my head at them. I could tell that they were thinking that if I wanted this thing, I should just rob this store.

After all, the shopkeeper was a goblin, so they didn’t think that this store was anything good.

But I wouldn’t let them do that.

The goblin didn’t seem to react when I said that I couldn’t afford it, but I didn’t care since I wasn’t going to haggle for this thing. Even haggling for it wouldn’t bring the item down to a point where I would be able to afford it.

Since it didn’t seem like there was anything else for me in this store, I turned to leave.

But to my surprise, the goblin suddenly said, "Wait a minute."

I turned back to look at the goblin with one brow raised, waiting to see what it had to say.

The goblin suddenly picked up the piece of paper on the counter and raised it up in front of itself. With the way that it raised it up, it was almost as if it was offering it to me.

I looked down at it before looking at the goblin with a confused look since I had no idea what it was doing.

With what seemed to be a smile, the goblin said, "Sir, please take it on the house. Please consider it a service on us."

I looked at the goblin with an even more confused look since I had no idea what the goblin was trying to do.

No matter how one looked at it, this seemed like a scam.

There was no way that they would give this kind of item as a service unless it wasn’t actually worth that much. Unless they were just saying that this was the price when in reality it wasn’t even close to being that expensive.

But I didn’t want to doubt that this wasn’t that great of a thing.

So the only thing that came to mind was that this was some kind of trick.

Why would this goblin want me to take this piece of paper so badly?

Especially since what I’ve spent was less than ten medium grade magic cores in the first place.

The goblin saw the way that I was looking at it, but then it seemed like it really wanted to give me this piece of paper as it suddenly tossed that piece of paper to me while saying, "You can feel free to do whatever you want with this. It’s a special service that our store is giving, so we don’t judge whether you accept it or not."

Then without a care, the goblin turned around as if it was busying itself with something else.

But I could see that from time to time, it did look back at me as if it was waiting to see if I would take it or not.

I let the piece of paper float down into my hand and just looked at it for a bit, but eventually I grabbed hold of it.

While I didn’t know what tricks this goblin was playing, I would take this piece of paper for now.

I could only hope that it was something useful to me in the future.

At the same time, I turned to leave this store since I had already gotten everything that I wanted.
