Shattering Humanity-Chapter 90: The Princess Of Sanpaku

The emergency medical crew returns with all their supplies and food.

They are all dumbfounded when they barge into Katsu and Saku, staring each other down while Kawaii is jumping on the beds and giggling.

Katsu breaks eye contact first and smiles knowing Shelly is in the room. The two leaders are already dressed in their cleaned "Saku" and "Katsu" academy issued sweatshirts, but now the names of their respective Divisions stitched on their left arms.

Saku has Izanami.

Katsu with Izanagi.

Scylia runs up making sure the stitches are perfect and giving the sleeves one last inspection.

Shelly and Itsuka give a sigh of relief seeing their men up and ok.

Scylia: "Before you guys went to sleep last night, Master Mina asked me a favor. To do something special for you two. Let me know if the stitching starts to go, and I’ll make you boys look official."

After everyone returns from breakfast, they all wait for Daisuki to wake up. The man opens the door from his room’s side and yawns. He slaps himself on both cheeks and smiles.

Daisuki: "Ok, now we can celebrate with the Division rosters!"

He places down two pages, each page has two lists.

Daisuki: "I’ve made two separate lists, they aren’t that different but I wanted others input. Take a look."

They all look at the first page.

Izanami Division- Saku, Friend, Itsuka, Taylor, Sol. Gunner: Dom

Izanagi Division- Katsu, Shelly, Aiden, Scylia. Gunner: Charybdis

Everyone nods and looks around not seeing any major problems.

Dom: "Izanami Squad is stacked! I mean, I wasn’t really convinced, until I saw my name."

Everyone gives him sarcastic "Yea, sure." looks.

Shelly: "There are more names for Izanami, but since Friend and Sol aren’t really fighters it’s fair."

Aiden looks down in embarrassment. Sol gives an annoyed look at Saku while waiting for Itsuka to cut her a piece of cake.

Sol: "I’d rather not have ’him’ as a division leader but, as long as I’m with the Big Guy..."

She gets handed a piece of cake and takes a bite.

Lil Miss Kawaii has a pout while petting Friend. Daisuki notices it and smiles.

Daisuki: "Don’t forget, there’s another list I’ve put together, just let me know if you guys prefer that one more."

This time Shelly reads the paper.

Shelly: "Izanami Division- Saku, Friend, Itsuka, Taylor, Sol. Gunner-Dom.

Izanagi Division- Katsu, Shelly, Aiden, Scylia.Gunner-Charybdis"

Everyone looks around trying to figure out the differences. The little girl is still upset. Shelly finishes the list with a smile towards the discouraged child after the deceiving pause.

Shelly: "And finally, the official ’Princess of Sanpaku’- Lil Miss Kawaii!"

The little girl squeaks in excitement after hearing her name being involved and everyone knows which list they’re going with.

Saku is side-eyeing Katsu while everyone is discussing the Division lists.

Saku: "Aye, D!"

Not only the mentor, but everyone quiets down and listens to what the Division Leader has to say. Saku smiles at Katsu and then looks at Daisuki.

Saku: "How about we do a little sparring match? Just a little 4v4 to see what we’ve got. Izanami Division vs Izanagi Division."

Katsu smiles and jumps between them.

Katsu: "Yea Big Bro! That would be an awesome birthday present, let’s do that! It’s almost like a ’tournament arc’."

Shelly smiles at Katsu’s eagerness and the comparison. She then looks at Saku, surprised. Saku notices and gets annoyed.

Saku: "What?"

Shelly: "Well usually whenever Katsu brings up that type of stuff, you call him a ’nerd’. Is he starting to wear off on you again?"

Katsu smiles at Saku and the two EyeEngage with their Anjell Eyes. Saku can once again hear Katsu’s voice but his mouth isn’t moving.

Katsu’s Voice: *Yeah Saku, you gunna tell them that ’I’ of all people, have been hostile towards you all morning?*

Saku doesn’t take the bait.

Saku: "I’ve learned to just ignore that dumb nerd shit."

Katsu turns around and points at Dom. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Katsu: "I guess you get to prove to everyone how strong you are, Dom. Good luck."

Dom gets a worried look but then Saku chirps in.

Saku: "Yea, all that talking again, but who killed more of that mob in Son Goku?"

Dom’s face goes from timid to a competitive grin and he nods.

Dom: "After we 4-0 sweep them, we should 1v1 for that ’Division Leader’ title. Wattayah say, ’Top Dawg’?"

Saku: "Bet."

Daisuki looks over to Aiden and Scylia.

Daisuki: "I know neither of you are really fighters either, so if you’d rather sit out, I can fill in."

Dom: "That’s not fair!"

Daisuki looks at Saku’s left ’Anjell Eye’.

Daisuki: "I wouldn’t put so many expectations on my fighting skills. I’m more of a coach than a player."

Saku smirks while looking at Katsu.

Saku: "It doesn’t matter, Dom. Let them give Katsu’s team as many handicaps and advantages, we’re still stronger."

Katsu smiles at the remark and laughs it off.

Katsu: "Haha, don’t forget, we have a secret weapon."

He points his tatted thumb to the "tamed beast", Shelly, next to him. Shelly blushes and then realizing the expectations Katsu has for her, puts her game face on and stares down Dom, making him more scared than a mob of 50 Icemen charging towards him.Scylia raises her hand.

Scylia: "Don’t forget Master Mina, I was a fighter before I arrived here and entrusted you with my safety. I’ll participate."

Katsu smiles at the woman representing his Division and gives her a thumbs up with a smile. She blows him a kiss. Daisuki opens the door and everyone follows. The last to exit the room are Katsu and Saku(w/Friend). Daisuki turns to them holding the door open.

Daisuki: "You two coming? Or are you two gunna make out?"

Saku: "Can you give us a minute, D? I just wanna talk to my rival division leader."

Daisuki nods and lets the door slowly close.

Daisuki: "Just don’t take too long, guys."

As soon as the door closes Katsu throws another punch and Saku blocks it with ease and is unfazed.

Saku: "Look, I don’t know what’s gotten into you. If it’s these new blessed eyes or what, but I can tell you’re frustrated. It’s almost like what I said about the divisions, you know you’re incapable of beating me, even with a special version of the IceEyes. So why not just tell me why you’re mad?"

Katsu then gives him a smile, turns his back without answering Saku and walks towards the door. He opens it and walks out, leaving Saku and the dog alone in the room. Saku looks down at the dog.

Saku: "What’s his problem? Right, Bud?"

Friend: "RrufFf"

Inside the same "foam room" that Katsu and Shelly were sparring in before Saku and Co. returned with Taylor and Sol. The basketball Saku threw in from the school gym is in the corner. The walls are covered in safety foam and so is the floor. Everyone is wearing socks on the soft floor.

Sol, Friend, Aiden, and Princess Kawaii are sitting next to the entrance/exit, double doors, as the audience. From their perspective, on the left is Katsu, Shelly, Scylia and Charybdis on the right is Saku, Itsuka, Taylor, and Dom.

In the middle of the two teams, Daisuki steps up as the fight director, with two wooden sparring swords, one in each hand.

Princess Kawaii: "Gooo Bid Brudder Sakuuu!

Friend: "RruffRufffrrr."

Daisuki puts on a show for the young girl.

Daisuki: "Ladies, gentlemen, and most importantly, Princess Kawaii, today we have the pleasure of a four versus four, sparring match between Izanagi and Izanami Divisions."

Princess Kawaii: "Gooo Iza-Iza-napi!!!"

Sol and Aiden smile at the adorable innocence.

Daisuki: "The rules go as such;Each team chooses their fighter for the round.Each round is 3 minutes. I will have the final decision on who won the round. Knockouts stop the fight. The loser takes a seat and the winner can either stay on for the next round or go to the bench and let another teammate go. Any questions?"

Nobody answers and Daisuki grins in excitement.

Daisuki: "Izanami Division, who is your fighter?"

Saku looks over at Itsuka, and smiles while he looks her up and down. Her tone body and 6 pack abs tighten up as the man she’s fallen for, is admiring her physically fit body.

Saku: "I know how well you can headbutt people in the guts and kill Icemen, but I hope that body isn’t only for show and you can handle her own. To be honest, that’s possibly the most attractive thing I can think of."

Itsuka blushes and gives him an assuring nod with a double arm pump. Daisuki hands her a wooden sparring sword and she makes her way to the center of the room. Daisuki smiles and looks at Katsu.

Daisuki: "Izanagi Division, who do you choose?"

atsu doesn’t even say a word and Shelly begins walking out to the center of the room, with her hand up facing her Sensei.

Daisuki tosses her a sparring sword and without looking, Shelly catches it, her broken heart tattoo on her thumb is seen.

Daisuki: "Alright perfect, we’re starting off Round One with the Queens of both Divisions."

Yhe two girls are putting their hair up in tight buns while talking to each other.

Itsuka: "Don’t embarrass me too badly, Shell. I did get a ’Beast’ title, but I think it’s mostly because of the way I look."

Shelly: "I’m not so sure about that Big Sis. Out of respect for you, I’m not going to go easy on you."

Shelly and Itsuka bow towards each other and exchange friendly smiles as they square up to each other, swords in hand. Saku and Katsu both glare at each other, with not so friendly smiles. Daisuki lifts his open hand and holds it up.

Daisuki: "Itsuka, are you ready?"

With a competitive smile, Itsuka nods.

Daisuki: "Shelly, are you ready?"

With a matching competitive smile, Shelly nods.

Daisuki brings down his hand.

Daisuki: "BEGIN!"
