Shattering Humanity-Chapter 369: A Secret Diversion Leading To Very Misfortunate Timing
"I will cause the people ahead of you to feel terror and will throw into confusion all the nations you come to. I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you in retreat.
I will send hornets in front of you, and they will drive the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hethites away from you.
I will not drive them out ahead of you in a single year; otherwise, the land would become desolate, and wild animals would multiply against you. I will drive them out little by little ahead of you until you have become numerous and take possession of the land.
I will set your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates River.
For I will place the inhabitants of the land under your control, and you will drive them out ahead of you. You must not make a covenant with them or their gods. They must not remain in your land, or else they will make you sin against me. If you serve their gods, it will be a snare for you." -Exodus 23:27-33

Itsuka: "My mother created something like that?"
Drakania is fascinated by the topic and is so excited to be part of the conversation, she stands up without thinking.
Drakania: "Iðunn, or Idun, was the Old Norse Völva associated with time and apples of immortality!"
Upon hearing the word, and knowing her sons infatuation with the fruit, Sol turns to see TayTay jump up to his feet, causing the ground around the bonfire to shake.
TayTay: "Apples!"
Saku snickers at his big glutton of a friend while Sol begins making the next roasted "apple" for the giant soldier.
Sol: "Of course it was..."
Drakania continues with her extensive knowledge of mythology. Her little brother is sitting on the ground, bracing himself with his one human arm/one Iceman arm back, and smiling while listening to his sister’s enthusiasm.
Drakania: "Although not seen as a God herself, it was said the strongest were dependent on her to achieve greatness.
It was said she was a deep and beautiful thinker, who’s beauty was so breathtaking and her eloquence when speaking so divine, it made those in her presence want to better themselves, but for her."
Drakania looks over at smiling Zoram, now with an all white apple in her hand.
The young woman blushes and sits down in her chair next to the ground sitting Jormy.
Drakania: "I’m sorry! I got carried away!"
Zoram(chuckles): "No, don’t worry. That was adorable, hehe.
It is fun hearing how much of history that I had learned in my first life cycle, has made it as far as of today."
Looking at the all white fruit in her grip, Zoram tosses the apple to Sol who catches it with one hand.
Zoram: "The actual versions of these ’immortality apples’ are all golden and require a lot of concentration, even with my SilkSeiõrSleeves.
As for that demonstrative example made out of SeiõrSnow, if anyone eats it, the effect isn’t strong enough to noticably change them.
Just a few hours."
The young woman looks at the apple in her hand and takes a bite.
Sol: "It tastes like nothing...
Like an apple made of water and ice."
She looks up and tosses it up. TayTay snatches it with his unhinged jaw and enjoys the tasteless treat.
TayTay: "Mmmm, apples."
With the happy princess sitting on her lap, Laban thinks about her past before adopting the homeless child.
Laban DaeMon: "My sisters told me they wouldn’t make me one of those apples, even on my death bed.
Nobody has any idea whether or not my sisters or I can actually die of old age, but once we hit our late-20’s into early-30’s, we wake up and our bodies feel sore and fragile. If I hadn’t met Zoram the day my sisters beat me up and abandoned me, I might have been dead within a decade."
The oldest of the group, Daisuki raises an eyebrow to the biological information given.
Daisuki: "What do you mean? Mid-20’s? Early-30’s?
That’s just how everyone feels when they get older! You’re telling me on the very first signs of passing your physical peaks is when you hit the reset button?"
His soon to be Völva wife gets embarrassed and flustered from the disappointment being released by the Head Hancho.
Zoram: "Not myself, Master Mina!
I’ve only used the technique on myself only when I could no longer keep up with Madame Laban, or for one of her plans."
Laban DaeMon: "Yea, don’t get upset at Zoram for anything I was in charge of."
Aiden: "Wait a second, so do these apples heal all injuries, or does the technique just replace old cells?"
Laban’s neck creaks like a rusted door being carefully opened while she turns her head slowly. Stopping to stare death into the questioning brainiac while Zoram answers with a nervousness.
Zoram: "Unfortunately no.
Which is why we have the SeiõrSuppliments.
The apples are purely for the purpose of age regression, while the SeiõrSuppliments are for healing bodily injuries."
The smartest of the group nods a couple times and digests the knowledge.
Scylia: "So let me walk things back, just to make it clearer for myself.
Over 800 years ago, when these DæMons were born from a magical mother, and a warrior mother, they eventually slaughtered their birth givers and whatever remnants of the two clans they could find.
That was until Shelly’s grandmother cast a powerful spell protecting not only her own children but Itsuka’s mother, who survived off of rejuvenating Seiõr techniques long enough to have a child?"
She looks over at Itsuka and the physically gifted, light skinned young woman with a purple left eye and an IceEye in the right.
Scylia: "But where is she now?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Itsuka looks directly into the fire, remembering the phone call she received while lifting weights that one rainy evening.
Itsuka: "For my parents anniversary, they were going away on vacation since my father had never been on a plane before."
Saku listens with care, and a mask of empathy.
Saku(thinking): *Itsuka lived most her life with both of her parents? I never really thought that much about her past, because I...*
Guilt washes over his entire body realizing why it took over a month for him to find out something so general.
Saku(thinking): *...because I didn’t care enough...
I’m such a fuckin asshole.*
Saku looks up and through the fire, Katsu still has glossed eyes from holding back his tears from earlier.
Itsuka: "They unfortunately chose the same plane as a bunch of hateful people who used the lives of the innocents as a tool of fear and war."
Daisuki’s face grimaces, hearing one of the people Nephilim originally declared a terrorist, had their life unforgivably destroyed by true terrorism.
He looks into the sky and sees a shooting star fade away.
Daisuki(thinking): *This, is why you don’t punish a group for the mistakes and acts of just one, Nephilim.
You’ve carelessly and ignorantly mislabeled, not only an innocent young lady, but a young lady who was destroyed by the actual versions of the labels you so irresponsibly placed on her.*
Itsuka: "Now looking back on it, and if she really was a legendary, magical witch, why didn’t she just use Seiõr to protect herself and my father from danger?"
Everyone listening starts to feel bad for the woman forced to think of her deceased mother because of the new questions she has.
Amidst the talking, the Yang Vessel slightly turns his body, looking back into the city. He stares at the building he and Shelly were in almost one hour earlier.
Saku is keeping a close eye on his universal rival, until something in the sky catches his attention.
Katsu(thinking): *While Shelly and I were alone, they were definitely watching us while we were in that cut up building.
Not only was that an opportunity to be with Shelly and make her happy...*
Saku jumps up from his seat waking up both Xaaydagaay and Friend.
Pointing in the direction Katsu is already looking.
Saku: "What is that!?"
Katsu(thinking): *...but it was a perfectly set diversion for this next threat to Shelly’s ultimate happiness.*
Before anyone can register what Saku is freaking out about, there is the low pitched whistle of a drone creating a sonic boom, then an explosion happens on the side of the already sliced up skyscaper.
Inside, from the perspective of the empty, quiet office the explosive force sends glass and office furniture flying deeper into the already fated building.
Princess Rebekah screams.
Everyone gets up from their seat, staring at the ball of fire and smoke.
The reflection in Itsuka’s purple human eye, passed down from her mother, is a misfortunate timed military attack.
Daisuki: "Everyone get inside the tunnel, now!"
With the new threat immanent, the bonfire is left ablaze while the fleeing Takamagahara gets underground.
A second explosion happens at the base of the building, and it is final hit the structure can withstand.
The diagonally cut in half building begins swaying until finally it collapses under it’s own weight.
The crashing and rumbling of the glass and steel framed building can be heard a few blocks away.
Shelly runs in the direction of the chaos. Madame Fryer flies out from her sheath and the human partner jumps on the sentient blade in the perfect transition.
