Chapter 327: Reasons For Writing

"I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.

I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.

I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. On Not Loving the World.

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." - 1 John 2:12-17

[Tomodachi Town High]

Char: "So, you came to meet up early too?"

The young author nods with a blushing smile and looks at the ground in front of her.

Persephone: "Mhm.

I figured I had some time before you showed up, and I just added this really big plot twist to my series that I wanted some inspiration on how children grow. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

I thought, ’no better place’, right" ahehe..."

Char: "No way, really?!

I don’t know how you do it, Persephone.

To come up with a whole world, a whole universe, with characters, and plots, I wouldn’t be able to keep up."

Persephone(chuckles): "Aheheh, sometimes even I have trouble."

They walk by the gymnasium and see a cafeteria sign with an arrow.

Persephone: "But, honestly Char, I wanted to thank you."

The lover boy blushes and is caught off guard by her gratitude.

Char: "F-For what?!"

Persephone: "If it wasn’t for our conversation yesterday, and some of the things you’ve said, I wouldn’t have thought of this new part in my story that I’m really excited for."

Without noticing, the two walk by another corkboard. This one has a math friendly bulletin with only ’100, 010, 001’.

Persephone: "It made me wonder what the possible permutations to humanity’s evolution were.

Is it possible that all of life on Earth evolved to adapt, hide from and survive the changing world around them, or did we evolve from our ancestors attempting to imitate an apex predator who was also the one changing their world?"

Char: "Uhhh, I don’t really..."

Persephone: "Hehe!

There may be a lot of nuisance behind where I’m going with this, but as the author, I promise when it’s all said and done I know it will make you just as excited as I am!"

{62 Million Years Before Leviathan’s Invasion}

[Future Yucatán Peninsula]

Within the waters that were impacted by the meteor that struck the Earth and eliminated the threat towards humanity’s progression, there is a disgusting coating of red blood, floating prehistoric marine carcasses, and other deep sea life scavenging the remains.

The smorgasbord attracts the ancestors to sharks. Smaller varieties, that usually live deeper in the ocean waters.

The marine carnivores feast on the mysterious buffet served to them until something with a human hand grabs one of their tails, making the others scatter.

The struggling tiny shark tries to bite it’s way to freedom.

Attempting to sink it’s meat tearing teeth into the assailant’s arm, but the sharp chomp is ineffective even against this little arm attached to the hand.

Suddenly it’s snout is grabbed, the human hand grabbing the catch’s tail swiftly grips the poor animal’s bottom jaw, and with no trouble at all, the sea predator is vertically torn in half by this unknown, deadly prehistoric predator.

Closer to the shore, the blood from the slain marine life has diluted but the waves of the ocean crash down. The retreating waves leave behind more bodies on top of the graveyard that is the rocky shores of future Mexico.

In only a few 10s of millions of years, the exact spot will be a beautiful sight of sandy beaches and crystal blue water, but for now it is a rocky surface covered in rotting, torn apart, and massacred carcasses.

The scavenging ancestors to the crocodile are the next to fall for the plethora of bait.

With plenty of food to choose from, most of the sedentary and secluded creatures use their own sharp fangs to tear apart their own lunch.

While one of the munching crocs has it’s lower half comfortably submerged in the water, the same something that snatched the prehistoric shark’s tail, now pulls the early crocodile into the waters, making it’s company scatter.

The struggling to survive begins but unable to fight back, the animal is launched from the waters. A small hand is still grabbing the tip to the tail of the unfortunate creature, as it is whipped and slammed against the shallow water/rocky shore.

With just one flick of the thin wrist, and the croc without a chance, explodes into red on impact, coating the rocks and staining the water until the tide pulls it in.

Eventually bringing back the refreshing blue waters.

Stepping out of the ocean, in one small hand, is the tail to the killed ancestor to what humans will know as the crocodile.

The only remaining piece to the kill gets dejectedly tossed to the side without a care.

The culprit, it’s the same mysterious little blonde girl, but this time, she is covered in a cloak made of one half pure white Seiõr and the other half, a pitch black Seiõr.

She completely emerges from the waters. With only her bare feet, the tough biped doesn’t even walk diligently atop the small rocks as the mysterious prehistoric "human" makes her way back into the woods.

Gripped in her tiny, little right hand, is what appears to be a rock, or meteor...

From outside the forest the slashings and silencing of animal’s making their mating calls indicates the unknown child’s left hand is still available for killing.

...

{Tomodachi Town Beach, Current Day]

SeiõrSnow falls on the now sandy and beautiful waters. As well as the quiet beach town.

Sitting along the tall wall next to the sand, the same area as when Jay interrupted them, Charybdis and Persephone are looking out at the water. This time the sun is too bright to admire but the calmness and tranquility of the waves crashing and the seagulls in the distance brings peace to the two as Persephone reads to Charybdis her story.

She closes her notebook and nervously looks up.

Persephone: "W-Well?

Is it too convoluted?"

Charybdis has the matching energy as to his Division Captain, Katsu.

The lover boy’s eyes are stars and his mouth is wide open in awe.

Char: "Holy crap Persephone!

You might actually have something there!"

Persephone blushes off to the side but smiles from the compliment.

Persephone: "Really?"

The young man nods his head in excitement and with actual serious conviction.

Char: "I know it might seem like I’m just being nice, but I’m being completely honest Persephone.

The way you’ve incorporated Seiõr into your story is amazing and I didn’t know you were into prehistoric history!"

From her dark hood, Persephone smiles brightly.

Persephone: "Thanks, Charby.

But I’ll be honest with you, I’m not really..."

Char: "What do you mean, you know so much about it!

And you’re obviously a brilliant writer!"

Persephone shakes her head and reopens her notebook.

Persephone: "I’m not a ’writer’.

I’m a storyteller.

Writers know how to properly form sentences.

Writers know proper wordsmithing and sentence structure.

Writers know how to start and end Chapters and what it takes to properly ’write’."

A disheartened Charybdis slowly reaches out to touch her hand, but he remembers that she flinches away last time he had tried.

He allows her to continue her self loathing.

Persephone: "I’m just a storyteller who has been over influenced by fictional characters and the stories written by others as my reasons for writing.

It’s only thanks to my caregiver that I have a library sized encyclopedia of information at my disposal.

Without them, I’m just a dumb person who likes to learn things that I’ll eventually forget or misremember."

Charybdis gets discouraged from hearing the beautiful writer put herself down.

Char: "Don’t say stuff like that, Persephone.

You’re definitely smarter, or more willing to learn than I am.

I’d say you’re in the Top 3 of smartest people I know!"

The young woman blushes.

Persephone (thinking): *He must be referring to his mom and sister being the other two.*

Charybdis slowly leans in to kiss her, and Persephone leans in too.

However, before the lips of the two can connect...

*POP*

Man’s Voice: "What in Sam’s Hell?!

Where in tarnation am I now!?"

The yelling and shouting of an aggressive man makes the jittery Persephone flinch back and ruins their possible moment.

Charybdis: "Oh come on!"

Both he and Persephone look over in shock. Standing on the sand, they see a cowboy with a single SunSword and it’s upgraded HeatHolster.

The same cowboy that MamMon DæMon had asked Isfet to use her ability on.
