Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead-Chapter 88 - 87: Eleanore’s Escape Plan (Part 1)
Eleanore’s eyes opened again under the same long roof, far away from her reach. The window was no longer letting in any light. It was dark and she was not sure what time it was. She looked around and the empty wooden boxes she had seen earlier were no longer visible.
She could still feel a slight pain of the punch that landed into her stomach hours ago and her mouth was still filled with the awful taste of blood.
A blue translucent screen was flying in front of her like always, this time with an emergency mission. It is a bit late, but the system did detect that Stella is in trouble.
’Look at how it is almost begging me to save its Female Lead!’ She thinks.
"How on earth do you expect me to get out of this terrible place and save her? Ha?!" She yelled in frustration.
"I do want to save her too—" She cried as her voice lowered down in agony. "But I am too afraid. It hurts when they hit me. I can’t take it, even for her."
She shook her head vigorously as she thought about it. The woman for whom she refuses to take a few punches, is the one who took a sword for her. "How shameless of me!" She could feel a pit of sorrow forming in her stomach as she said that.
"I should be able to take any kind of torture for her and tell the truth to every soul— but then will it be able to bring her back from death?"
Of course not. If she dies, there is no use of going through that torture. The situations they both were in are completely different. If Stella hadn’t jumped in between, she would have died.
On the other hand, if she takes this torture and doesn’t us her brain, she won’t be able to save either of them. So, it was somewhat right to trick them. Yes, but now what? 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
’How do I get out of here? How do I take the antidote and save her? Just how?’
She stared at that screen for a while;
||Emergency Quest
Stella had been poisoned by evil Verbena, the only antidote to the poison is with her. Free yourself and save Stella’s life.
Penalty: Death
Reward: Life||
"The store!" She remembered.
The translucent screen in front of her changed and moved to the store screen. Just like last time there was no improvement. It still had the same items. Useless items!

Out of everything, the first item that attracted her attention and felt useful was the knife. She purchased it and then a concern rose in her mind. Where will that knife fall? On the floor? Probably in her lap or her hand behind the chair? Where?
Seconds later, something fell in her hand, she tried to feel it and then felt a sharp scratch on the tip of her index finger that was tracing it.
It’s a knife. It landed in my hand.
For almost hours, Eleanore struggled to cut open the rope. First she couldn’t adjust it properly and had scarred various parts of her wrist, each painfully deeper than the other. Once she was able to position it, the layers took longer than expected to cut through.
Soon she was from the rope and brought her hands in front. Various cuts of different sizes had covered her wrist and the part where the rope was tied had turned red.
Her gaze travelled back to the system window as she started to devise a plan, she thought hard for a long time. Once a great yet somewhat skeptical plan had formed in her mind, she smiled. She released her legs from the chair’s and then bought five ropes, one matchstick and two wooden planks.
She tied four ropes together and then created small knots at a certain interval distance for friction, then tied it well to a strong pillar near the only window in the tower.
When Eleanore popped her head out of the window, she saw how high it was. A gush of wind passed through her face and entered her eyes. She rubbed them to see what’s down there. The long, bushy trees blocked her view, she could see nothing and hence couldn’t estimate the height.
Eleanore was not sure if the rope even reached the ground. She made a wild guess that the tower was at least 20 storeys tall and kept the rope long enough, accordingly. She saved one in case a requirement rises.
After her escape plan was ready, now she needed the antidote from Verbena. She hesitated as she walked back to the chair, ready to light the matchstick. What if Verbena is no longer in the tower? All her efforts would be in waste.
Of course, she didn’t want that to happen.
She wasn’t even sure about how many people were outside. Just because only two people entered the room in the afternoon, doesn’t mean there might not be more.
Ughhh!
The more she thought about it, the more scared she felt. There was no time, Stella is dying and she isn’t even sure if her plan would be successful or where on earth she is right now?
’There is no time to waste! I must move quickly.’
She lit the matchstick and set the chair on fire. It took a lot of time, since she had no flammable liquid with her. Once the wood had caught fire, she started screaming for help.
"Oh my god!" She screamed. "Help! Fire! Fire!"
The footsteps outside the room increased at an alarming rate. They were pretty much near her, so much so that they could easily reach her in no time.
