Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead-Chapter 120 - 119: The Date Commitment
It was all so strange. The fact that Eleanore was going on a date with the very man she despises, was giving her chills.
’How strange? I can’t believe my favourite character became the one I hate the most, now.’ She wondered as she was getting ready for the date.
Out of nowhere, the door behind her opened and Caelestis entered the room. Eleanore got out of her seat and was stunned to find him in her room. How on earth did he even get here?
"What are you doing?" Eleanore asked.
"I am here to pick you up, Eleanore." He answers with a smile.
"Lady Eleanore, we are acquainted." She moves back and in response Caelestis moves forward.
"No, Eleanore we are. After all, we are going for a date. Aren’t we?" He asked, as Eleanore met her end and grabbed the edge of her cabinet.
Caelestis, opened the button of his long overcoat, and slipped his hand inside its pocket. He placed his other hand on the same cabinet, reducing the distance between them. His scarlet eyes staring deep into her soul, as a smile remained tugged on his face.
He pulled out a velvet box from his pocket and brought it in between them. "Eleanore, for our first date, I bought you this." He says.
Eleanore says nothing, her gaze shifting between his eyes and that box that matched the color of his pupil.
"Open it." He says, but Eleanore remains frozen in her place. "Fine. I’ll do it for you."
He slowly opens the box, which reveals a pair of earrings made out of sapphire. "Aren’t they beautiful?" He asked.
Eleanore scoffs at the setting of those earrings. They were small, delicate and blue. It was neither her style nor her color. "Did you bring them for Stella?" She asked.
In return, Caelestis continued to smile. He placed the box on the cabinet and gently brushed his thumb at the edge of her jawline.
"What are you doing?" Marina could hold in anymore.
Caelestis gave her the usual stare that no longer scared her. "Calm down, I am just taking off these tacky silver earrings."
"They are my lady’s favorites." She counters.
"Is that so?" He turns to her, pulling out the backing of her heavy earring and tossed it away on the cabinet. "Terrible choice."
Caelestis, picks up his earring which was light weight and needed no backing. It had a hook that he gently passed through the hole of her ear. His fingers then move to the next earring and Eleanore could feel strange sensations in her body.
His touch made her body vibrate, and even though his hand was about a centimeter away when it passed along the jawline of her face to the next ear. It was sending shockwaves down her spine. Her grip on the cabinet tightened, as he gently inserted the cold metal in the hole of her ear.
Once done, he finally moved away from her. "You look so much better now." He comments. "Shall we?" He holds out his arm for her to hold.
"The necklace is still left." Marina speaks up.
Caelestis tilts his head to her way. "You are as arrogant as ever, Marina." He gets flashbacks of every time she insolently ignored his orders. "She looks much better without a necklace." He adds.
Eleanore lets go of that poor cabinet and holds his arm. "Marina, inform my brother that I’ll be back by the evening." She says before leaving along with Caelestis.
Their carriage ride was rather silent, and Eleanore had expected the whole date to go the same way. But to her dismay things didn’t go the way she wanted.
The carriage pulled over in front of that Pistachio cake shop. Eleanore had thought she would not be here for a long time from now, yet here she was again. In front of the same shop with the same man.
Caelestis, who was waiting for her to get down, spoke up. "What changed your mind or something?"
Eleanore’s eyebrows arched. "What?"
"Do you want to discontinue this game?" He asked more clearly.
Eleanore placed her hand on his and got off the carriage. She stands beside him, her hand in his arm. "How can I? You have won me for eight hundred million." Her gaze moves to him. "Right?"
Caelestis felt a little weird when he heard that but still smiled. "Yes."
The bell of the shop rings, when they enter the shop. Like always, the shopkeeper welcomes Eleanore with a big smile. "We have the pistachio cake this time." She says, bringing some out. "The gentleman with you warned us to have as many as possible. So that you can eat it to your heart’s content.
She places a tower of different kinds of pistachio cakes and cookies in the middle of the round table, near the window.
Caelestis pulls out a chair for her and she sits in it. While he takes the seat opposite her.
"Would you like anything to drink?" She asks.
"Pink grass tea." She says that the owner turns to Caelestis.
"The same." He speaks.
Eleanore picks up a pastry and scoops out a spoon. The pastry melts in her mouth and her eyes shuts up savoring the taste of those green dry fruits. Truly, this palace does make the best pistachio desserts and quickly concluded this original Eleanore’s taste was prejudice.
"Since when did you start drinking that tea?" Caelestis leaned over.
"Since now." Eleanore takes another bite. She soon sets it aside and picks up a cookie which is just as good as that pastry.
The tea arrives soon and she quickly matches it up with the cookies and it tastes heavenly. She breaks up the chocolate with pistachio filling and is astonished, when the filling inside smells so natural. When she bites it, the thin layer of chocolate breaks and she could taste the pistachio in it.
Eleanore didn’t stop there, she continued eating. No matter how many of these sweets she ate, it is never enough. Her stomach gets full at some point but desire and gluttony urges her to eat more.
Eleanore drinks her remaining tea and finds Caelestis staring at her, wearing a small smile. He ate nothing, instead for the past hour, he only observed her. Somehow he even found this side of her attractive. The strange fluttering feeling had become very familiar to him so he didn’t budge.
Caelestis pushed his cup of tea that had gone cold, to her. "Want more?" He asks.
