Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 473: Bi Yize forced to yield
It turns out Qie Xieling didnโt have to put effort into getting the bill paid. Like a knight in shining armour, Bi Yize came to pay the bill of the damsel in distress. ๐๐ณ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ฃ๐ฏโด๐ฃ๐ฆ๐.๐ค๐๐
Qie Xieling wanted to protest. He would rather show the manager his thigh but it was too late. The manager being a very dishonest man told Bi Yize that he owed more than he actually did and of course like a dummy he paid it.
When Qie Xieling woke up he found that he was lying in bed in an unfamiliar place.
"Shit," he swore under his breath as he jolted awake. His dad had warned him about getting wasted without a responsible friend. One could say Jolie was a responsible friend but she was also passed out cold on virtual wine.
This meant two irresponsible adults were feeding off each other. Qie Xieling was about to get up when Bi Yize stopped him. "Lie down. You might have a headache," he said and Qie Xieling wanted more than anything to get out of bed than be alone with this man especially when he was looking at him with those puppy dog eyes. He looked so pitiful.
"Where am I?" he asked and Bi Yize wrung a towel while answering him,
"I took you to an inn. I came for dinner at the restaurant when I saw you were in trouble." He placed the towel on Qie Xielingโs forehead but Qie Xieling dodged. He immediately sat up and sucked in a cold breath of air from his throbbing head.
Bi Yize reached over to help him but Qie Xieling moved away from him. Bi Yize bit his lip feeling disappointed. He knew Qie Xieling was upset with him but actually feeling his rejection broke his heart.
"Donโt move too much. Here... wipe your face with this," he said as he placed the cloth in his hand. Qie Xieling accepted it and wiped his face while Bi Yize got up and stirred some steaming congee for him. "It is unlike you... drinking this much?... What happened at the Lee family?" he asked but Qie Xieling didnโt answer. He didnโt want to talk about it. He didnโt want to talk about how the love of his life threw him out just after marrying him. He was a tough nut to crack but damn that hurt.
"... did he divorce you?" asked Bi Yize again not taking his subtle hints at all. "Did that bastard touch you?" he continued to ask and this time his voice turned murderous. His eyes that were smitten just now turned bloodshot his breathing heavy.
"Yes and so what of it? You can walk out now and go find someone else to mess around with," he said his voice filled with annoyance. He wasnโt one to put his business out there but if this would get rid of Bi Yize then he would spill all the beans and the various positions they took on the bed.
Seeing that he was silent Qie Xieling laughed softly before saying, "What? Donโt believe me? I can even tell you the positions we were in and how long he lasted. How about his size? Do you want to know that?"
Bi Yize suddenly held Qie Xielingโs hand and when Qie Xieling tried to free himself from his grip Bi Yizeโs grip grew tighter. He wasnโt willing to let him go. He massaged Qie Xielingโs fingers with his thumb before saying, "I am sorry... I got so jealous. I just... I thought I would be your first time. I..."
Qie Xieling might have been the top favourite of the brothel owned by Master Bi but he wasnโt allowed to be tainted. He was to remain pure and only kept the guests company and played the guqin for them. If anyone dared lay a hand on his personal assert, Master Bi would summon the perpetrator and teach them a lesson the very next day.
"... Ah-Xie, I never said this to you before but I truly want to be with you. I want to be your husband and live with you away from this world... I will win the competition and after that, you can leave with me. I will make you happy," he said and Jolie who had woken up at some point and heard his lovey dovey nonsense chuckled.
"You should say that to him in front of young master Luo. How interesting with that conversation be?" she said and took his hand back.
"I am not interested in whatever you have to offer. Please leave me alone," he said but Bi Yize wasnโt willing to take no for an answer.
"I know you are still mad at me but I promise you I will win back your heart," he said and the door was suddenly pushed open.
The young woman was a little startled but she soon regained her composure and said, "Young master we have trouble."
Bi Yize placed the bowl of congee in Qie Xielingโs hand before saying, "Eat it while it is hot. Donโt leave... stay here okay."
After saying that he glanced at Qie Xieling one more time as though hesitating but he still left. As soon as the door closed Qie Xieling said, "Letโs go."
Jolie got up and took the bowl from him before saying, "Wow, how douchie of you. He just paid for our meal and the inn. He took care of you and bought you congee. What does he get in return? You run off without a word. Thatโs so mean."
"And whose fault was it that we ran out of money," retorted Qie Xieling and Jolie nodded her head before saying,
"Fair enough," before handing him the bowl but Qie Xieling refused.
"Just ask my dad for more. This time I will be in charge of it," he said before lying down.
Jolie took a spoonful of the congee. Her eyes lit up from the taste and ate the entire bowl leaving none for Qie Xieling.
Meanwhile, downstairs there was tension between the group Bi Yize came with and the people who came with Lee Ya and Luo Muchen.
Lee Ya had been so annoyed the entire journey and decided to stop over in this small town. While Luo Muchen went who knows where she sent her minions to look for a good inn. Because the town was so small there werenโt a lot of options so there was only one inn in town that would impress her. She matched over here only to be told that it was full. She wasnโt one to take no for an answer.
Bi Yize was met with a tense atmosphere when he reached downstairs. There was a war of words between the two groups and at the center of the chaos sat Lee Ya with a noble demeanor. She was clad in splendid silk garments while lounging on a chair with an air of superiority. She observed her perfectly manicured nails, seemingly oblivious to the growing tension around her. Her followers, a group of loyal subjects, engaged in heated arguments with the other group already occupying the inn.
Her domineering presence loomed over the scene, casting a shadow of unease upon the room. Her voice, sharp and authoritative, commanded attention from all corners of the inn. She demanded that the entire establishment be vacated to accommodate her and her entourage, dismissing any notion of sharing the space.
The opposing group stood their ground, their faces etched with determination and defiance. They argued passionately, each word echoing through the crowded hall.
Blinded by her own entitlement she remained unyielding. Her gaze flickered from her nails to the crowd, a condescending smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Donโt you think you owe this to us young master Bi after that stunt you pulled on my brotherโs wedding? Letting go of this inn is the best that you can do," she said and everyone turned their heads to look at Bi Yize.
Bi Yizeโs brows furrowed having realised that if she was here then Luo Muchen wasnโt far behind. He didnโt want him to see Qie Xieling for some reason. He couldnโt help but feel threatened.
"How does that have anything to do with me or you?... you can leave," he said but Lee Ya wasnโt going to let it go easily.
She got up and walked over to him her body swaying gracefully. She stopped inches in front of his face and said, "Tsk tsk tsk, how naive. Everything has to do with both of us. My surname is Lee and yours is Bi. We are sworn enemies now so instead of waiting till the competition to deal with this conflict... how about we fight it out right here," she said unsheathing her sword and everyone else did the same threatening each other. Bi Yize wanted to fight but when he thought that Luo Muchen might walk in at any time and he would see Qie Xieling he decided to yield.
His burning gaze still on Lee Ya he said, "Pack it up. We continue travelling today."
His group who were ready to stand their ground were a little confused but they couldnโt go against his orders. The other group smirked from their victory.
