Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 467: Lee Ya the menace
She chuckled silently before saying, "Word does travel fast indeed," before she took a sip.
"You should stay away from him. Don’t mess with him. I want them to stay together. Knowing your father he will look for another wife for him to help him consolidate his power. If Qie Xieling stays as the main wife no other family would want to marry their daughters. In the end, he would have to lose his position as heir," explained Madam Lee but soon she realised her daughter wasn’t listening to her.
"Did you hear me?" she asked and Lee Ya’s lips quirked slightly.
"I get it. I won’t mess with him," she said but in truth, she was wondering how she could separate them. She didn’t know why but she felt some type of way when she saw him that night. His ethereal beauty lured her into a trance and when she saw him hugging Luo Muchen with a look in his eyes like he was the only person in the world, she felt irritable.
Now that she had seen him again she was more than certain that she wanted to destroy their nonexistent relationship. The two of them fell silent for a good while. Madam Lee had a feeling that her words had fallen on deaf ears so she sighed, breaking the silence that hung between them. "Ya Ya, I had hoped that you would understand the responsibilities that come with your position," she began, her voice tinged with disappointment.
Lee Ya clenched her fists, the sting of her mother’s words cut deep. She had always felt restrained by the expectations placed upon her by her mother and grandfather. Her schedule was planned by them, they told him what to do, where to go and who to be but it was extremely suffocating.
They were also going to tell her who to marry, all to knock that bastard off a seat that truly belonged to her. But now that she had found some interest in Qie Xieling she wasn’t going to let it go. She didn’t want to marry him neither could she but she wanted him regardless. Wouldn’t her half-brother lose face after that? She cleared her throat and put on an obedient look.
"Mother, I understand. You don’t have to worry. I won’t jeopardise my future as clan leader for that," she said reassuringly and Madam Lee stopped nagging. After chatting for a bit she finally left and Lee Ya leaned back into her seat while tapping the table.
She called out to one of her maidservants and said, "Bring that girl who likes Luo Muchen." The maidservant further bowed down while saying,
"Young miss that... the Madam wouldn’t be hap-."
Lee Ya smirked before saying, "Are you trying to tell me what to do?" The maidservant trembled in fear while her shoulders further shrunk back. She knew that what Lee Ya hated the most was being told what to do by anyone.
"N-no young mi-miss. I wasn’t," she stammered expecting to be beaten up at any time.
"Then get her for me," she said and the maidservant ran out like she had been granted amnesty. Lee Ya rubbed her upper lip lost in thought before calling another one of her maidservants.
"Go and take my old clothes and send them to Qie Xieling," she said and the maidservant froze but having learnt not to question the young miss she got up and hurried to find the young miss’s old clothes.
After ten minutes or so the maidservant came back with Xiao Fen. They both bowed and Lee Ya waved the maid servant away. The maidservant scurried away and Xiao Fen who had no idea why she had been brought here looked at the scurrying figure with a look of fear in her eyes.
"Come here," said Lee Ya and Xiao Fen jolted in fright. She hesitated for a moment but still got up and walked over.
When she reached over Lee Ya pinched her chin and her lips quirked slightly. She turned the young woman’s face to the side and said, "Not pretty enough but you would have to do." She pushed Xiao Fen away before asking, 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"How badly do you want to help your young master?"
The woman knelt down with a plop and trembled before stammering, "I... I."
"You love him don’t you?" asked Lee Ya and the woman kowtowed in a frenzy before saying,
"Young miss, please spare me. I beg you."
Lee Ya chuckled softly while looking at her perfectly manicured nails. "Why should I spare you?" she asked and the young woman stiffened.
"I didn’t call you here to condemn you or criticise you... I came here to give you an offer. An offer to enter my brother’s backroom as a concubine? As you know... gers can’t give birth rather the chances are low so... don’t you want to give your young master an heir and become his concubine?"
Xiao Fen quivered at her words and was terrified half to death. This offer was exactly what she wanted but she also knew the hatred between the young miss and her young master. It was like making a deal with the devil behind the angel’s back.
"I...," she said and Lee Ya continued to say,
"Don’t hurry to refuse me... You can also get rid of that deceitful wife of his. Don’t you want to free your young master from the clutches of that slut?"
Xiao Fen who wanted to refuse suddenly raised her head having realised this was a setup from the start but she couldn’t resist the offer. She wanted that bitch gone and if this was the only way then she would accept it.
"I I want him gone," she said and Lee Ya smiled slyly. She decided to go for the weakest link and that was Xiao Fen.
"Then listen to me," she said with a devilish smile.

Qie Xieling was standing in the courtyard practising his swordsmanship purely out of boredom when someone interrupted him. It was a maidservant he had never seen before.
She bowed and said, "The young miss sent this for you... young young master."
Qie Xieling arched his brow surprised by the fact that she would send clothes over for real. "Take it back," he said and continued swinging the wooden sword. The young woman clenched the skirt of her dress while biting her lips like she was going to break down in tears.
With a loud thud, she knelt on the ground and tearfully begged. "The young miss will beat me if you don’t accept her gifts. She will beat me to death. Please young master spare me."
Qie Xieling, "..."
Lee Ya was truly a menace. Why couldn’t she just be normal like the others? Why cause so much trouble to someone else because he didn’t accept her gifts? This was no exaggeration either. Lee Ya would beat her hard for something that was out of his control.
Qie Xieling sighed before turning around and saying, "Leave it there." Grateful, the young woman bowed thanking him for his benevolence. She scurried out of the courtyard soon after lest Qie Xieling change his mind. In a split second, the only thing left was a cloud of dust. The young woman had sprinted out of the courtyard and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Qie Xieling sighed before continuing with swinging his sword. After he was tired of messing around he grabbed the things and brought them into the bedroom leaving them at the corner of the room. He had only a few outfits from the dowry and had been repeating them which also resulted in a lot of rumours. He asked Jolie for some money but this foodie claimed that she had used the money. Qie Xieling sighed as he lay on the bed. He rubbed his forehead with his fingertips his thoughts wandering towards Luo Muchen.

As the moon rose high in the night sky, Luo Muchen sat in his study, engrossed in the meticulous examination of the account book detailing the imports. His brow furrowed with concentration as he meticulously flipped through the pages, his mind absorbed in the financial details.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and Bo Ailun entered the room, carefully balancing a tray with a steaming pot of hibiscus tea. He set the tray down on the table beside Luo Muchen, its fragrant aroma wafting through the air.
"Young master, I thought you could use some refreshment," he said respectfully, his voice carrying a soothing tone.
Luo Muchen glanced up, acknowledging Bo Ailun’s presence. "Thank you but I won’t be needing it right now. You should retire for the night," he replied, his tone preoccupied as he returned his attention to the account book.
Bo Ailun nodded understandingly, his eyes reflecting concern for his master. "Very well... If you require anything, please do not hesitate to call." With a slight bow, Bo Ailun made his exit, leaving Luo Muchen to his work.
