Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 441: The beautiful wedding
The warm glow from the sparkles illuminated his face, accentuating the affectionate smile that played on his lips.
Qie Xieling’s breath hitched in his throat as Luo Muchen took his hand and led him to the centre of the archway. His pulse quickened, and the anticipation filled him with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
"Mu Mu," muttered Qie Xieling his voice barely audible. With a tender gaze, Luo Muchen knelt down on one knee, his eyes locked onto Qie Xieling’s. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them suspended in a moment of pure vulnerability and love.
"Lin Lin," his voice quivered with emotion, "from the moment I met you, my life has never been the same. What I thought was hate towards you turned out to be fear... fear of you vanishing from my life. It was as though I had experienced the pain before and when I laid my eyes on you it was as though I was reliving the pain. Once I came to terms with my feelings my life has been brighter, my heart fuller ever since. You’ve brought joy and laughter into my life, and I can’t imagine... I can’t imagine a future without you by my side."
Qie Xieling’s chest rose and fell rapidly, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears as he listened to his heartfelt words. The weight of the moment pressed upon him, rendering him momentarily breathless.
Luo Muchen opened a small box, revealing a ring that shimmered in the moonlight.
"You’ve taught me what it means to love unconditionally," he continued, his voice filled with unwavering conviction. "Qie Xieling, will... will you marry me? Will you be my partner, my confidant, and my forever?"
Qie Xieling’s emotions surged, a torrent of happiness, love, and disbelief coursing through his veins. Unable to find his voice, he squeaked. Yes, he squeaked and abruptly covered his mouth before nodding vigorously, tears of joy shimmering in his eyes.
Luo Muchen’s eyes gleamed with uncontainable joy as he struggled to slip the ring onto Qie Xieling’s trembling finger. For a moment he couldn’t figure out which finger it was making Qie Xieling laugh. When he finally slipped the ring on the right finger he got up and pulled Qie Xieling into a tight embrace.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, the city skyline lit up with a burst of colours painting the night sky. Qie Xieling’s heart soared with joy. As the two men stood together, their bodies intertwined in a warm embrace, a symphony of fireworks erupted in the air.
The fireworks were a dazzling display of vibrant hues, cascading through the darkness like shimmering raindrops. Each explosion made Qie Xieling’s blood rush intensifying his emotions. The crackling sounds echoed the excitement in his heart. His eyes widened in awe as he watched the glittering sparks dance across the canvas of the night.
Among the bursts of red, gold, and blue, a special firework emerged, leaving a trail of sparkling letters that formed the words, "He said yes." Qie Xieling’s breath caught in his throat, and a delighted smile spread across his face. It was as if the Capital Star celebrated their love, inscribing their happiness in the sky for all to see.
"How did you even... that’s cute," exclaimed Qie Xieling while Luo Muchen embraced him from behind. The warmth of his embrace enveloped Qie Xieling, making him feel safe and cherished. The sensation of their bodies pressed together, the beat of their hearts in perfect synchrony, it was a culmination of a love that had endured countless trials.
Lost in the spectacle above, Qie Xieling’s eyes sparkled with reflected light as the fireworks painted his face with a kaleidoscope of colours. He couldn’t tear his gaze away from the breathtaking display, his heart overflowing with love.
As the last firework faded, leaving only a trail of smoke in its wake, Qie Xieling turned to Luo Muchen, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears. He bit his lower lip and tried his best not to cry but he couldn’t help it.
"Look what you made me do. You made a grown man cry," whispered Qie Xieling his voice brittle.
Luo Muchen caressed his cheek while saying, "Just don’t cry down the aisle otherwise people will think I am bullying you."
Qie Xieling chuckled softly as a tear drop slid down his cheek. Luo Muchen leaned closer and kissed the tear away while Qie Xieling clenched his waist tightly. Luo Muchen kissed his cheek and then the corner of his mouth before kissing his soft lips.
As the sparklers flared, painting the night sky with bursts of light, they shared a passionate kiss. Afterwards, they pressed their foreheads together with their sweet laughter filling the rooftop.

"Oh my gosh will you stop," complained Qie Xieling while Jolie retorted back,
"For heaven’s sake put on some makeup at least. It will look nice in the pictures. Look at this picture. It will look natural on you," replied Jolie acting all nervous like she was the one having a shotgun wedding.
"I look fine this way... wait, where is Luo Muchen’s watch? Did he take it?" he asked before getting up.
Jolie immediately locked the door and said, "It’s bad luck to see the groom on the day of your wedding. You are panicking. Calm down."
Jolie was right. He was panicking. He wanted to do this before he left the game but now that the day had come he couldn’t calm his nerves.
"Just sit down and relax. Breathe in... breathe out," said Jolie trying to calm him down.
Qie Xieling breathed but couldn’t breathe out calmly. "What if my parents find out? They will kill me," he said his voice tremulous.
"No, they won’t. Your parents would never know plus... it’s just a game," she said coaxing him like a devil to eat the forbidden fruit. If he only knew that his dads would watch the entire wedding he wouldn’t have agreed to it.
"Yeah, you are right. I am just worrying over nothing," he said only for Jolie to point at the lipstick on the dresser.
"So... how about it?" she said and Qie Xieling glared at her.
"Nooo," he said and she threw her hands in the air while yelling,
"Fine fine. You don’t have to put it on."

Qie Xieling’s heart raced with anticipation as he stepped into the sleek hovercar, ready to embark on the grand procession that would announce his union with Luo Muchen throughout the entire Zeden Coalition.
The vehicle hummed with energy, its doors closing behind him, sealing his fate as the future spouse to the most powerful man in the galaxy. Several armed black hover cars surrounded his vehicle protecting him on all sides.
As the hover cars soared above the bustling streets of Capital Star, a vibrant city filled with towering skyscrapers, holographic displays adorned the sides of the buildings. The holograms projected images of Luo Muchen and Qie Xieling, accompanied by red banners that celebrated their impending marriage.
The citizens of Zeden Coalition’s capital looked up in awe and admiration, witnessing the momentous occasion that would shape their kingdom’s future. The day a king took the most wanted criminal for a wife.
Inside the hover car, Qie Xieling’s nervousness intensified. He fidgeted with his suit, adjusting the crisp white fabric that adorned his frame. The magnitude of the event weighed heavily on his shoulders. Every passing moment seemed to amplify his anxiety.
"Just relax. You are making me nervous just sitting next to you," said Jolie and he exhaled deeply.
"I will be walking you down the aisle, isn’t that exciting? I will hold your hand the entire time... unless. Are you having a change of mind? We can run away now and no one will find us."
Qie Xieling, "..."
"No, I don’t have cold feet," he said and Jolie laughed.
"Then don’t be nervous. Besides aren’t you looking forward to the honeymoon?"
Qie Xieling, "..."
The procession finally reached the palace where the ceremony would take place. A red carpet stretched out before Qie Xieling, inviting him to walk the path of no return. With each step, his heart swelled with a mix of excitement and trepidation and Jolie wasn’t helping things. He regretted having her walk by his side.
Dressed in his elegant black suit, Luo Muchen stood at the end of the aisle, radiating confidence and regality. His presence commanded attention, and his gaze locked with Qie Xieling’s as soon as they met. Qie Xieling’s eyes shimmered with tears of joy, his smile reflecting the overwhelming love he felt for the man who stood before him.
The hall was filled with the entire crew, Luo Muchen’s family including his mother’s holographic projection cheering Qie Xieling on. He continued down the aisle, his steps steady, his heart pounding.
But then, as if the universe itself had conspired against him, the distance between him and Luo Muchen seemed to stretch impossibly far. The world around him darkened, engulfing him in a suffocating silence.
Fear gripped him, his mind racing with uncertainty. What had happened? Was it just his imagination, or were they leaving the game?
Qie Xieling’s hands trembled as he struggled to regain his composure. He searched desperately for a glimpse of Luo Muchen his heart yearning for the reassurance that everything would be alright.
"Jolie! What is happening?!"
