Chapter 418: "You two are so clingy....

"You two are so clingy. You have barely been separated for long yet you are already looking for him. It’s quite intrigu-," said Bo Ailun only for his footsteps to pause when he saw Qie Xieling’s distraught expression on his face.

He looked into Lee Ya’s cabin and there was no one. Qie Xieling turned to look at Bo Ailun his eyes bloodshot.

"What are the means to get off this warship?" he asked and Bo Ailun suddenly realised the gravity of the situation.

"The hanger of the ship," he said before running towards the elevator. Qie Xieling followed after him his heart pounding hard against his chest.

When they reached the hangar they frantically scanned the area, searching for any sign of Luo Muchen.

Qie Xieling’s heart raced as he and Bo hurriedly made their way through the bustling corridors of the warship. They reached the hanger a massive expanse filled with sleek and powerful space crafts. Qie Xieling’s eyes scanned the area, searching for any signs of an empty docking bay. But everything seemed in order.

Confusion etched across their faces as they approached the crew members nearby. "Have you seen Captain Luo?" asked Qie Xieling his voice filled with urgency. The crew members exchanged glances, their expressions filled with confusion. That’s because no one had entered the hangar in a very long time.

"No, we haven’t seen the captain," one of them replied, shaking his head. "All the space crafts are accounted for. There’s been no unauthorized departure," replied one of them.

"Anywhere else?" asked Qie Xieling and Bo Ailun’s mind raced with possibilities.

"The escape spaceport," he said and without wasting another moment, he dashed in another direction and Qie Xieling was hot on his trail following right behind him.

In a short period of time, they reached the emergency bay. Something was definitely off about this place like someone had been here. The problem was that there were more than a thousand such escape space pods so they needed to identify which one had been accessed recently. Bo Ailun darted towards a nearby control panel. Qie Xieling followed closely behind him.

As they reached the control panel his fingers danced across the holographic interface, accessing the ship’s tracking systems. He initiated a search, hoping to find any trace of the missing escape space pod number.

"Come on, come on," Bo Ailun muttered under his breath, the tension mounting. Seconds felt like hours as the system processed the scan. Finally, a blip appeared on the screen, indicating the whereabouts of the emergency escape space pod that had been accessed recently.

Qie Xieling’s eyes widened. "There it is! We need to track it down!"

Bo Ailun opened his communicator and swiftly activated the tracking function. The screen displayed a real-time map, showing the rapidly moving blip that represented the escape space pods. They had little time to waste.

Qie Xieling’s voice filled with determination as he shouted, "Notify the bridge! We have a missing escape pod, possibly with Captain Luo onboard. We need to intercept it immediately!"

Bo Ailun glanced at him with an expression that seemed to say, "Are you fucking serious? Who made you the temporary captain," but he didn’t dare voice it out.

He relayed the urgent message, his fingers trembling slightly from the adrenaline coursing through his veins. The crew sprang into action, alerting the necessary personnel as they mobilized to stop the rogue escape space pod.

Just as the warship was turning around to pursue the escape space pod it suddenly vanished into thin air. To be precise, it was drawn in by a beam of light that appeared out of nowhere.

Qie Xieling closed his eyes when he saw it had vanished. His Adam’s apple rippled as he swallowed down his emotions. He couldn’t afford to lose his shit right now. He had to find Jolie.

He immediately turned on his heel and entered the elevator. Jolie was busy playing online mahjong with Luo Shih when Qie Xieling found them.

"You," he said and Jolie instantly got up ready to run but Qie Xieling yelled,

"Luo Muchen is missing and so is Lee Ya. I need you to help me find them!"

Jolie made a U-turn and Luo Shih said, "There is no need for that. I already know where he is. If that bitch Lee Ya had anything to do with it you have to charter a course towards Captial Star."

Qie Xieling bit his lip hard struggling to contain his emotions. He was extremely angry with himself for not warning Luo Muchen in advance. Maybe this wouldn’t have happened. He sat down in the captain’s chair in the commanding bridge while caressing Luo Muchen’s communicator that had dropped on the floor of Lee Ya’s cabin.

Meanwhile, Lee Ya was sitting in the cramped space of the escape space pod staring at Luo Muchen with a disdainful gaze. She couldn’t wait for him to drop dead.

He lay on the ground his body limp and unmoving. She had drugged him with a calculated dose, ensuring that he would slip away quietly within the next few hours. It was a decision she had agonised over, but one she believed was good for Zeden. How could they have an intergalactic pirate for a king? If anything she was doing the people of Zeden Coalition a favour.

As the escape pod docked with General Bi’s warship, the door hissed open, revealing a group of stern-faced Zeden soldiers. With precision, they carefully lifted Luo Muchen’s unconscious body onto a stretcher and swiftly wheeled him away towards the ship’s medical bay.

Lee Ya’s gaze shifted to General Bi and she took a deep breath, steadying herself before speaking. "General Bi," she said, her voice carrying with it a trace of concern, "His royal highness needs to remain unconscious for the rest of the journey. It’s for his own safety and ours."

Bi Yu’s eyes darted between Lee Ya and Luo Muchen, her expression a mix of concern and conflicted emotions. She had been promised by the king that they would be married thus she had followed his every instruction.
