Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 402: Husband and wife fight in public

After saying that he turned to Qie Xieling who was walking away. "Captain... you," said Bo Ailun but the man ignored him.

Qie Xieling’s eyes blazed with anger as he stormed away. His chest heaved with every breath, his emotions raw and untamed. He was extremely pissed and needed time to cool off.

The crew standing nearby watched in stunned silence, their eyes darting between the two men. They had soldiers to deal with but this drama was more interesting. It was rare to witness such a display of discord involving the Captain.

They couldn’t help but wonder what the Captain would do in retaliation after Qie Xieling shoved him like that in front of the entire crew. It seemed the information about them dating hadn’t reached their ranks yet.

Luo Muchen’s voice trembled with concern as he called out to Qie Xieling his words filled with desperation. "Lin Lin, wait! Please, let’s talk about this."

The crew, "..."

Who what where? Who was this person? They couldn’t fathom that they had just heard their captain pleading with someone and that someone so happened to be Qie Xieling. They checked the sky to see if any pigs were flying but there was nothing. It seemed the whole world had gone crazy.

What made matters worse was that Qie Xieling refused to acknowledge him and his steps quickened as he stormed away. The crew exchanged glances, unsure of what to think about this situation.

"BoBo, what the hell is going on?" whispered Mauve after witnessing this shit show.

Bo Ailun glared at him before saying, "Who the fuck are you calling BoBo." Mauve raised his hands in surrender as he took a step back.

Determined not to let Qie Xieling slip away, Luo Muchen sprinted after him, his heart pounding in his chest. He reached out, attempting to grab Qie Xieling’s hand, but Qie Xieling violently shook him off. It was as if the touch of Luo Muchen’s hand only fueled his anger further.

Luo Muchen was very stubborn. He refused to give up, his persistence shining through. He wrapped his arms around Qie Xieling’s waist from behind, pulling him into a tight embrace. It was a desperate attempt to make him stay still for a moment.

The crew, "..."

"It’s like watching a husband and wife fight publicly," said Zara recording this little squabble.

"Everybody move in... Now!" ordered Bo Ailun yelling when he saw that they weren’t moving. The crew scrambled around and began to release knock out gas into the cave system.

Meanwhile, Qie Xieling’s muscles were tense trying to push Luo Muchen away. The problem was that this man was stronger than him despite the height difference. He was about to yell at him but something in the back of his mind held him back. He felt the warmth of Luo Muchen’s body against his, the strong arms enveloping him. Despite his anger, a part of him longed for this connection, this closeness they shared.

"Luo Muchen, let go," he said restraining himself, "you should go back to your precious general and check on her."

Luo Muchen swallowed his Adam’s apple bobbing. He didn’t understand why Qie Xieling was acting jealous for when he had nothing to do with Bi Yu. His voice softened, coaxing and gentle, as he whispered into Qie Xieling’s ear. "Lin Lin, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you mad. Let’s work this out... Don’t shut me out."

Qie Xieling’s resistance wavered, his heart torn. Slowly, his body relaxed against Luo Muchen’s, and he allowed himself to be held. The storm inside him began to simmer down, and he realised that maybe, just maybe Luo Muchen was sorry for what he did.

"What did you do wrong?" he asked and Luo Muchen tightened his embrace before saying,

"I made you unhappy by...," he paused trying to word this well. After thinking it through he said, "I made you jealous? I shouldn’t have."

Qie Xieling, "???"

Okay, he was more than sure that Luo Muchen was the dense one between them. How could he not see why he was upset? Because Luo Muchen didn’t expect him to walk away again he didn’t fight when Qie Xieling got away from his embrace.

"Yes sure, I am the freaking problem, I am just a jealous person," he said before walking away. Luo Muchen wanted to follow him but Qie Xieling turned around sharply and bumped into him their faces almost colliding.

"Don’t... fuckin follow me," he said before walking into the hovercar. Luo Muchen was left standing there with a perplexed look on his face. He couldn’t understand what really upset Qie Xieling.

Feeling rather dejected he watched the hover car drive off without him. Two minutes later he was making the rest of his crew miserable in the spacecraft. If someone so much as coughed the atmosphere would get so tense and suffocating.

Mauve tapped Bo Ailun on the shoulder and whispered, "Did Xieling finally get revenge on General Bi? He seemed pretty pissed the last time he didn’t get to shoot her down."

Bo Ailun who had no idea what he was talking about, "..."

His whisper was a whisper but with Luo Muchen’s good hearing, he heard everything. "You, come here," he commanded and Mauve’s eyes widened before pointing at himself.

"Me?" he asked but Luo Muchen’s piercing gaze said everything. Mauve got up and followed after the captain praying he wouldn’t get yelled at too much.

When they reached the narrow passageway he asked, "Repeat what you said."

Mauve licked his lips before saying, "Captain, I really didn’t mean to gossip... It’s just that Lin Li-." His voice abruptly died down when that glare almost tore into his soul.

"Ah, I mean Qie Xieling got angry the last time we had a conflict with the general. He was about to shoot down her warship when his console stopped working. He was so angry that he wanted to tear to pieces whoever did it," he continued to say when he realised it was the captain who did that.

"Oh, oh... ohhhhhh. Is that why he is pissed? Damn."

"Get lost," said Luo Muchen before Mauve ran away like his ass was on fire.

Luo Muchen’s blind eyes finally saw the truth. Qie Xieling was mad because he stopped him again today. It seemed as though he was protecting Bi Yu and picking her over him. "Shit," he swore under his breath. He had to find Qie Xieling ASAP.
