Leila’s voice was filled with an air of ominous uncertainty as she spoke, her words conveying a sense of foreboding that hung heavy in the air, "It seems Eva misinterpreted the missing Diamond there wasn’t one that was missing but two and now those two have been confirmed. Iris and LuXie."

Leila’s focus was singular, her attention honed in on one name in particular - Iris. With a flick of her wrist, she tapped the name and a blurred figure flickered onto the screen. Slowly, ever so slowly, the image sharpened, until the person it depicted was clear as day.

Aurianna’s voice was filled with disbelief and a tinge of fear as she spoke, her eyes locked onto Leila’s. "Did the system truly just announce those words? Iris devouring a world?!" she exclaimed, her nerves on edge.

Leila’s expression was dark and troubled as she pursed her lips, her brow furrowed in deep thought. "Yes, you heard correctly," she confirmed gravely. "But how could this be? How could one person consume an entire world? And to possess not just one, but two gems as well..." Her voice trailed off, a sense of unease creeping over her.

Aurianna’s mind was reeling, unable to comprehend the enormity of the situation. "Two gems?" she echoed, her voice betraying a hint of envy. "How lucky she must be to possess such power, yet I am forced to share mine," she lamented. Leila snorted at Aurianna’s words, a sharp edge of bitterness creeping into her voice.

"Were you even listening?Leila let out a deep sigh, frustration etched on her face as she looked at her sister’s dramatic crocodile tears. But she quickly composed herself, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of the situation, "I wonder if this is a warning from the system for the threat ahead," she mumbled to herself.

Leila looked up at the System again and watched the face of a beautiful girl on the screen.

Her eyes flickered back to the screen, where the image of a beautiful teenage, brown skinned girl had appeared. The girl had dark, purple dead eyes that shone like precious gems, and long, silky black hair that sparkled like crystals. Two blurry figures loomed behind her, their shapes indistinct.

Leila’s attention was drawn back to her sister as she spoke, "Aurianna don’t you notice something familiar about her?"

"Something familiar?" Aurianna mumbled to herself as she stared at Iris’ image. She looked closely at Iris and mumbled, "I’ve seen her somewhere before, but when?" Aurianna’s voice trailed off as she studied the girl’s image. Suddenly, both sisters were assaulted by a loud, distorted voice that echoed painfully in their minds, screeching with a terrible fury.

Their eyes flickered and glitched, and suddenly they were both plunged into a hazy, distorted memory.

They saw a girl playing with two babies, but her face was blurred and her voice sounded strange and twisted when she spoke. Beside her stood a woman whose once-pleasant expression twisted into one of disgust when the girl left. She spoke, but her words were muffled and incomprehensible and her voice sounded distorted, so Aurianna was unable to hear her voice well.

The memory abruptly vanished, and Aurianna gasped for air as her vision returned to normal. Blood trickled from her ears, and she clutched her head sensing the ringing pain. Leila too looked shaken and unsteady.

"Is she someone we know?" Aurianna asked Leila nervously.

Leila’s brow furrowed, her expression troubled, "I have a feeling that we know her, but I don’t know from where. Something doesn’t want us to remember. Or someone is blocking our memories."

Aurianna nodded, determination etched on her face. "Then we’ll need to train harder, who knows if she’ll become an enemy!"

"I agree, a level 10,000, we would be like mere ants," Leila nodded in agreement, her gaze intense.

"She’s more like a god at this point," Aurianna smirked. "Even Primordial Humans aren’t that high-leveled!"

"We must train harder, we don’t know whether she is a friend or foe, maybe we’ve met in the past, but it doesn’t mean people don’t change," Leila said with a serious tone and Aurianna grinned.

"Same goes for LuXie I don’t know who she is but her to just join the rankings and be that strong means she’s someone we must watch out for," Aurianna warned Leila. She then tapped on LuXie’s name to reveal a beautiful brown skin girl with a crazy grin. Aurianna looked at her for a while before closing the screen and pulled Leila by the arm.

"So let’s go kill more Void Reavers without any distractions!!"

"Be vigilant we won’t know when any Void Reaver might attack, the ones here would be stronger," Leila warned and Aurianna summoned her revolvers, her mind raced with thoughts of the upcoming battles, her hands tightening around her revolvers. She could feel the weight of the weapons in her hands, the cold metal reassuring her that she was ready to get stronger.

’Iris, if we should meet one day, I would like to have a battle with you. Well, when I’m strong enough,’ Aurianna thought with a smile as she walked alongside Leila. Together, they walked deeper into the destroyed sandy city their steps determined and their hearts full of a dark, unyielding resolve.

_____

In the middle of the night, beneath the glow of the full moon, a young man could be seen running into the heart of a dark forest, his purple robe flapping wildly in the wind. Despite the blood stains marring his clothing, but he didn’t seem injured in the slightest and he moved with a fluid grace, his breaths even and measured.

There wasn’t a hint of weariness or pain on his face, only a dull expression. His eyes, as blue as the purest crystals, displayed a perpetual boredom, and his sclera was as black as the night sky. A sense of apathy that seemed to emanate from every inch of his being. As he glanced over his shoulder, he noticed a group of murky silhouettes trailing him.

He turned his head back and spotted many dark shadows following behind him.

The shadows crept, their presence foreboding and sinister. Hooded figures in gray robes, their daggers glinting in the dim light. But the young man was ready. A sigh escaped his lips, and he halted in his tracks. Swiftly, he unsheathed his swords, bracing himself for the impending attack a blue energy coursing through the blades.

The assassins launched themselves at him, their movements swift and deadly. but his body seemed to blur. One of the attackers missed his mark, and the young man’s sword sliced through his enemy’s body with ease. The other assassins hesitated and became wary of him. But before they could react, the young man’s blades extended, glowing with an eerie blue light that illuminated the surrounding darkness. With a single sweep, he dispatched the ten assassins that had dared to pursue him, their bodies falling lifeless to the ground.

Now alone, the young man emerged into an open plain, where the moon hung low over a distant mountain range. The cool breeze rustled through the grasses, carrying with it the faint scent of death and blood.

Sheathing his swords against his hip, the young man surveyed the carnage that surrounded him. Blood stained the grass, a testament to the battle that had just been waged. And yet, despite the chaos, he felt no emotion. No sense of triumph or relief. Only a deep, hollow emptiness and a tired feeling.

It was then that he heard a voice, small and childlike, interrupting his thoughts. Turning, he saw a little girl no older than 12 perched on his shoulder, She had shimmering blue pearl irises and short black hair. Her eyes fixed on a glowing blue screen that hung in the air before them.

The young man said nothing, but removed his hood, revealing two curved horns that marked him as something other than human. Together, they watched the blue screen with a surprised expression.

"So she’s the strongest now, instead of Gilgamesh? It’s such a pain, does it mean I have to train harder?" he grumbled, and the girl nodded in response.

"Of course, Ciel. We wouldn’t want to end up killed by the Black Diamond," she giggled and floated around him.

"Such a pain, can’t you just let me rest, Claudia?" he whined, scratching his head.

"Unfortunately, you can’t. I mean we have these cultivators tailing us," Claudia turned to look around, and Ciel noticed the shadows of people in gray robes surrounding him.

"Hah, I just want to sleep," Ciel complained, drawing his swords.

"You think you can get away with betraying the Gray Lotus Sect, Ciel?" a middle-aged human man barked in anger. "A mere demon like you dares to go against the sect?"

"Stop your yapping, old man. I don’t give a crap about the lengthy talk you’re going to make. And even if I betrayed the sect, so what? You are the ones suffering a barrage of attacks from other sects," Ciel sneered, causing the old man and the other young men and women behind him to glare at him.

"How dare you, insect, mock our sect?!" the middle-aged man bellowed, drawing his large axe from his ring.

"Well, your Sect Leader should have been wise enough not to use me to increase his cultivation," Ciel retorted coldly, causing them to tremble as they stared into his piercing dull eyes.

The cultivators began unleashed a barrage of qi bullets at Ciel, from all sides. The bullets strike-through Ciel’s body and fly away harmlessly, but one bullet hits a tree trunk right next to him and splinters in half. Ciel’s body distorted like a liquid before he grinned.

Shaken by their attacks being inactive, the cultivators charged at him, but their attacks went straight through his body, causing them to recoil in terror. Suddenly, Ciel’s body dispersed into the air, and large sharp blue spikes impaled ten cultivators from behind their backs, killing them instantly.

More cultivators emerged from the woods, armed with weapons and filled with rage. They swarmed Ciel, but he parried their attacks with ease, swiftly beheading twenty of them. The forest echoed with screams, sending birds flying from the trees overhead, as the cultivators fled in terror. The middle-aged man recovered from his initial shock and charged towards Ciel with his axe, determined to avenge his fallen disciples.

"You’ll pay for killing my disciples!!!" he bellowed, slashing at Ciel with his axe. Ciel’s body split in half, but Ciel’s body turned into a liquid form and he quickly reformed next to the man’s weapon.

"But it isn’t my fault that your disciples were such fools to charge at me foolishly. And the others around I’ll kill them as well," Ciel said dully before jumping into the sky.

"Don’t get too ambitious!" the middle-aged man warned, readying himself for another attack.

"Who said I’m ambitious for being ambitious sake?" Ciel chuckled. "You’re all going to die here today...Flooding waves." Ciel’s body dispersed into the ground.

All of a sudden, the ground around them started to deform and transform into large waves. The cultivators panicked and tried to run away, but they couldn’t. The sandy waves were extremely high and the large ten sharp jaws that appeared on the sand gnawed on the fifty cultivators as it trapped them in a sandy dome.

"Let’s go, Claudia." Ciel said as he emerged from the sand outside the dome.

"Yes, Master Ciel!" Claudia replied, beaming as she floated towards him, ignoring the pile of deformed bodies left behind. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
