Chapter 53: Chapter 40: Crushing Defeat

Since the space was dark and the Being was glowing brightly Aurianna could see the figure clearly and could tell that it was a woman. She was 6 feet tall and crouched down. She had a wide grin as she placed her two hands on Aurianna’s face.

"I can finally be revived," the woman spoke with an eerie tone and Aurianna trembled with fear. She tried to struggle but soon realised that she couldn’t move.

’Is it because of her?’ Aurianna wondered as she stared at the woman nervously. The aura she emitted gave Aurianna a familiar feeling but she couldn’t quite place it...

Aurianna’s body was immediately wrapped by white chains and as she seemed to be sinking into a sea of darkness the woman waved to her goodbye.

"Aurianna, wake up!!" Eva demanded, as Aurianna was standing weirdly with her eyes closed.

She suddenly opened her eyes abruptly and materialized a floating sword of light, stabbing it into the bodies of the knights approaching for an attack and they turned to dust upon being impaled.

Eva looked at Aurianna gravely, immediately noticing that her aura was different. "Who are you?" She asked, the clocks in her eyes beginning to glow as she glared at the imposter.

Aurianna’s normal aqua eyes were replaced with a pair of beautiful diamond looking eyes with rhombus shaped pupils.

"Why is this body incomplete?!" The Being frowned as she examined Aurianna’s body, ignoring Eva’s question.

"Hey you," the Being looked up at Eva, "You’re the Pearl of this second generation Diamond right?" the Being asked, and Eva stared at her nervously.

"Tell me, where’s the other half," it questioned, gripping her palms. And Eva felt as though her body was being crushed by an invisible force, blue blood started rushing out from her eyes and ears.

Enemy knights rushed to attack the Being but before they could come within a five meter radius, she snapped her fingers turning them into balls of lightning, which then flew around her before Being absorbed into her body.

Before the Being was able to question Eva further. She looked at her palm to see that her body was glitching.

"I thought I had destroyed her soul," she mumbled and sat on the ground before she closed her eyes. "Queen, slay everyone who attacks me," the Being ordered as she suddenly stopped breathing.

All of a sudden a bright light surrounded the battlefield and blinded everyone. After a few seconds the light disappeared to reveal a crystal female knight with a crown on her head. Her entire body was glowing white and was over twenty feet tall. She knelt down and used her wings to cover Aurianna’s body and everyone one watched this crazy phenomenon bewildered and in awe.

"Should we attack it?" a knight asked as all, even noblemen, trembled.

Advisor Chu, in the same state as everyone else, asked King Girsal the same question, "Should we engage?"

King Girsal shook his head, "No, leave it."

Inside the dark space Aurianna watched the chains of light being destroyed by formless black matter. Aurianna took a deep breath as she regained function of her lungs. She thought of how she was unable to move and the fear that gripped her when she was chained by the strange woman.

"I wonder who that is," Aurianna thought nervously, as she was getting up.

"I need to find a way out," she mumbled as she looked around but stopped when she saw the white crystalline woman before her. She looked at her and asked, "Who are you?"

"You’re not worthy of knowing, and nor are you worthy of possessing my gem," the woman spoke coldly.

"Gem, what do you mean?" Aurianna asked, looking up at her.

"Are you serious? You haven’t seen my white diamond on your chest?" The woman scoffed as she glared at Aurianna.

"Eh, I have a gem in my chest," Aurianna questioned looking at her chest to confirm if this was true but she saw nothing. A thought then clicked into her mind as she looked up at the woman again and frowned, ’Did she just say white diamond gem?’

Aurianna prepared herself to attack the woman but before she could the woman summoned her white chains again and a sword appeared in her hand.

"You’re such a frustrating mortal! But there’s no need to worry. You’ll live...." The woman raised her sword ready to slash at Aurianna but was interrupted by the black matter that hugged her body.

The chains around Aurianna dissipated and she watched as the white woman struggled against the black matter, and she looked closer and realized it wasn’t what she thought it was. "It’s not the black playtime, but something different." Aurianna muttered as she noticed shades of red sparks, what’s more the black matter sparkled like a gem.

"Get off me!!" The woman yelled as she struggled against the black matter. Panic written all over her face until she was fully swallowed by the black matter. The space was once again empty and quiet.

On the battlefield the Queen Knight knelt beside Aurianna’s body as the other knights stared at it warily.

"I’ve had enough!" King Boborous yelled. "You lied to us about being peaceful, pacifists. You were just wolves hiding in sheep’s clothing! I’m going to destroy this disgusting heretic land!"

[ Kings are now allowed to engage in battle ]

Hearing the notification all the children immediately evacuated the battlefield, retreating to King Girsal’s side.

King Boborous raised his sword high and his entire aura flared causing the battlefield to tremble.

"So he’s an arc human," King Girsal muttered looking at King Boborous a bit suprised.

King Boborous’ muscle began to grow larger and larger till he became burly, the ground underneath him cracked. He gripped his sword tightly and dashed towards King Girsal’s army with the rest of his knights in platinum armor.

But all of a sudden the strange white crystalline female knight statue began to move.

"Get out of my way!!" King Boborous yelled in rage.

He dashed towards the statue raising his sword high. The statue pulled out two spears and darted towards King Boborous, "Anyone who seeks to harm my master must perish," the crystal knight spoke in a distorted voice, her spears simultaneously clashing with King Boborous’ swords. A huge shockwave was caused by the attacks between King Boborous and the crystal statue. Boborous tried to land another strike but his attack was parried by the female knight. Despite her big size she was extremely swift, enabling her to keep up with him.

King Boborous jumped back panting.

’How does it keep blocking my attacks?’ King Boborous thought as he gritted his teeth. Though he remained undeterred, he felt a sense of uneasiness as he stared at the crystal knight. All his soldiers refused to move, they just watched the statue nervously.

The crystal knight charged the King, her lance lowered. King Boborous prepared himself for the incoming attack and blocked the strike with his sword, easily parrying the blow...Or so he thought until he saw the crystal knight twisting its arms to create a spinning lance, throwing it with King Boborous towards a mountain. The enormous mountain immediately came crumbling down as the lance flew back into the hands of the crystal knight.

King Boborous got up from the pile of rubble, his golden armor stained with dirt and dust. He rushed towards the battlefield, lept into the air once more and swung his sword downward. The crystal knight tried to defend against the assault, even though the blow was powerful it stood its ground.

The crystal knight immediately dashed behind him and threw the spear again. It flew true and nailed him in the face, drawing blood. He grimaced in pain but didn’t seem too badly hurt by it; he just shook off the blow and continued fighting.

He dashed, sliding below the crystal knight, he punched it from behind sending it flying towards the other side of the battlefield.

"A pile of rubble like you can’t beat me!!!" King Boborous roared as his aura flared.

The crystal knight faltered as it stood up. Strangely it grabbed its wings and tore them off as its white blood poured onto the ground. The wings and the blood then turned into four more arms, two arms wielding swords, and the other two arms wielding an axe. It titled its head and for a split-second, vanished immediately reappearing before King Boborous and landing a massive strike of light sending him plummeting into the ground which shattered. The shock wave sent a gush of wind, as everyone watched the battle both with anxiety and excitement.

King Boborous jumped up and spit some blood out before attacking once more with several piercing stabs, this time the crystal knight was unable to parry as its speed had reduced due to injury. He then changed his direction of attack and stabbed it in the leg with his sword.

The crystal knight twitched with pain, Boborous laughed and continued his assault. The crystal knight parried another stabbing attack with its second spear and made multiple slashes turning the battlefield into minced stone, most of the knights were caught up in this rampage and were unfortunately slaughtered. King Boborous stumbled backwards, but managed to stay on his feet by bracing his shoulder against one of his men.

He was breathing raggedly through clenched teeth, as he glared at the crystal knight. However, as he looked closer he smirked realising there were cracks all over her body.

Aurianna’s body twitched as she slowly opened her eyes to see a tall white crystal woman kneeling before her. Her jaw dropped in shock and everyone who looked at her wondered, "What are you so shocked for? Isn’t it yours?!"

Aurianna looked around frantically but she couldn’t see her. Aurianna suddenly felt a rush of pain in her body and several black chains that glittered like a black gem wrapped around her.

"Argh!!" Aurianna screamed in pain as the chains around her body seemed to squeeze her heart before they disappeared. The knight statue also began to turn into sparkles and entered Aurianna’s body, the battlefield became quiet.

Eva, who abruptly appeared, noticed Aurianna who fainted and thought to herself nervously, "Is that the seal the system was talking about? Black Diamond like chains...What does the Black Diamond gain from sealing Aurianna and Leila?" Despite being unable to break the restraints the imposter placed on her, she was able to witness what happened on the battlefield and was a bit surprised about what she saw. But nothing could surprise her more than the black chains she saw crawling around Aurianna’s body.

"Freed, get her out of there," King Girsal ordered, and Freed nodded.

Vines immediately grew around Aurianna and as she appeared in Freed’s arms.

"Aurianna! Are you okay?" Freed asked in a worried tone.

"My chest feels like it’s being crushed," Aurianna responded, clenching the neckline of her dress.

"Father, she needs the healers immediately, she seems to have broken bones," Freed alarmed as his eyes were glowing while he stared at Aurianna. He watched as blood slowly dripped from her ears, nose, mouth, and then from her eyes.

King Girsal looked at Aurianna coldly and replied, "I see..then let me end this quickly."

[ Impact ] King Girsal stated raising his hands towards the sky. Within a few seconds, the sky filled with darkness.

"The sky is falling?" an enemy knight asked.

"What the hell is happening?!" The enemy was panicking and so were their beasts.

"Don’t worry men, my magic-resistant armor would protect us," King Boborous stated boldly.

"I would not be so sure," King Girsal smirked and the whole battlefield erupted into a huge explosion when the darkness fell down. The explosion began swallowing all of the Drumel kingdom’s knights, turning them into dust.

As the smoke cleared, Aurianna, as well as everyone else, stared in shock at the disaster King Girsal caused. They all trembled in fear, as before them was a crater the size of Sandeph and nothing could be seen inside, only darkness and smoke.

"Tell the earth magic users to fill up the hole," King Girsal ordered, placing his hands on his back and walking away. Duke Mellisa nodded nervously as she went in another direction.

’So this is King Girsal’s power. The power of an Arc Human,’ Aurianna thought anxiously but a sinister smile creeped across her face. ’Don’t worry King Girsal, in some years I’ll catch up to you and give you the most gruesome and horrifying death you’ll ever experience. I can’t wait to kill you, dear father.’

"This is the power you should aim for, my dear children. So that you can help Sandeph and assist your father in his endeavours," Queen Amber stated towards the children nervously watching King Girsal and everyone nodded.
