Chapter 298: Chapter 235: Destroying the Shinia Highland

"Yes, a few actually, but I believe we’ll be enough to destroy the entire Shinia Highland, chi, chi," Aurianna laughed, her voice echoing with arrogance.

Marcus’s jaw clenched. ’Dammit, how dare she?’ he thought, his mind racing. ’And I can’t dare to refuse a war request from a royal of another country!’ This was unexpected, a bold move, perhaps even a bluff. But he couldn’t risk it.

[Please know that you can’t reject this request, and in exactly one hour, you shall both fight each other.] The angelic voice boomed.

"Understood," Marcus replied, his voice barely a whisper.

[The Shinia Highland shall fight against the Sandeph princess in exactly one hour!] The angel declared before vanishing.

"What would make you make such an unreasonable declaration with such confidence? The whole country would be after your head!" Marcus yelled, his anger finally boiling over.

"I’m not someone who forgives so easily, especially to a king who asked others to kidnap me and dared to try and sell me," Aurianna replied.

"But can you at least leave the people of the country out of this? They’ve done nothing wrong," Marcus pleaded. "They have nothing to do with this."

The people of Shinia Highland watched in horror, their faces etched with fear and despair. "Your Highness," they cried out, their voices filled with desperation but at the same time they were proud of their prince who spoke for them.

"Do you really think I could give a shit about the people of your country?" Aurianna scoffed. "Why else would I suggest that they die in this war? Let’s not be stupid." She chuckled, a dark, twisted amusement in her eyes.

"And trying to sneak up on me is quite foolish," she continued, her voice dripping with contempt. With a swift movement, she grabbed an invisible figure by the head and smashed it against the floor, revealing a cloaked assassin. The blood pooled on the floor.

"You won’t get away with this," Marcus growled, his fists clenched tightly.

"Oh, I will," Aurianna replied, her voice filled with confidence. "Today, I’ll make sure your entire country is wiped off the surface of the earth!" She laughed maniacally.

"See you all in one hour!" Aurianna beamed, her eyes sparkling, before disappearing into thin air.

Marcus slammed his hand against the railing, his frustration boiling over. "Dammit!" he growled, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He glanced up at the screen, the countdown ticking down relentlessly: 56 minutes.

"She disappeared," a guard reported, his voice filled with confusion. The other guards were scrambling around, searching for any trace of Aurianna, but she was nowhere to be found.

"Announce it to everyone in the Shinia Highland. If you captured her face, make copies immediately. She must be found, no matter the cost!" Marcus ordered, his voice firm and determined.

As he was escorted to his carriage, a thought crossed his mind. ’She must have some hidden trump card to be this arrogant.’

"To the castle! I have to immediately relay this to my father!" he declared, and a guard tore off a piece of paper and disappeared in a flash of light.

_______

"Father!" Marcus called out, rushing towards his father who was seated on his throne, surrounded by a group of nervous advisors.

"Yes, I’m aware of that outrageous announcement," the King of Shinia said, his voice heavy with worry.

"The angel of war could be heard everywhere!" one of the advisors exclaimed.

"Panic has erupted throughout our entire country," another advisor added.

"The people are also running away, Your Majesty," a third advisor reported, his voice trembling.

"How could they cower before one child? I’m sure I asked for her to be sold off, so why is she back here alive and well when my son is dead!" the King of Shinia roared, slamming his hand on the throne, causing the room to shake.

’Well, Father has always favored Dwane,’ Marcus thought coldly, a sense of satisfaction washing over him.

"Send all the Grand Humans we have! They must find her and kill her!" the King of Shinia ordered, his voice filled with rage.

"We only have two Grand Humans present, Your Majesty," Marcus pointed out.

"Tell them to find Aurianna Vanluad no matter what!" the King of Shinia roared, his voice echoing through the throne room. A guard stationed near the door immediately rushed out to deliver the urgent order.

"That child, no matter what trump card she has, we can’t allow her to use it," the King muttered, his teeth clenched in frustration. "Shit, there’s not enough time!" He stood up abruptly, his mind racing. "Get the soldiers ready!" he ordered, his voice filled with desperation. Marcus watched his father’s frantic movements, a cold glint in his eyes. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

"My, everyone is panicking so badly," Aurianna chuckled mischievously.

"To think such a big country like this, we’re fighting against them all," Zagan muttered, rubbing his cat face wearily. Aurianna reached out and playfully rubbed his cheek.

"Don’t worry, Zagan, this will be a piece of cake. After all, they’re just filled with a bunch of weaklings," she said, her voice dripping with arrogance. A sinister smile spread across her face as she revealed her sharp, shark-like teeth. "I’ll finally get some souls!" she exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Oh, so that’s the main goal," Jugi remarked, his tone laced with surprise.

"Nah, I’ve always hated this damn stupid country. Their royalty pisses me off," Aurianna grumbled.

"But the people," Jugi chuckled, glancing at the panicked citizens fleeing the country gates. The countdown clock above the city was ticking down, the last twenty minutes displayed prominently.

"Why so many questions, Jugi? Do you actually care if they live or die?" Aurianna asked, her tone sharp.

"Not really, you’re free to do whatever you want. But just know, more enemies for you," Jugi said calmly.

"Doesn’t matter to me," Aurianna shrugged indifferently.

"Don’t worry, Master! No matter how many enemies you have, I’ll kill them all!" Hadina declared confidently.

"Chi, chi, chi," Aurianna laughed.

_____

"Now then, now my knights are positioned all over the Shinia country. We can begin," Aurianna grinned, snapping her fingers.

The King of Shinia watched the countdown clock anxiously. As the final seconds ticked away, the entire country shuddered, a sign that the battle had begun.

"All this time, we didn’t manage to find her," the King muttered, his face etched with despair seeing the number 0 on the screen above.

"Look!" The people of Shinia Highland gasped, their eyes wide with fear as they looked up at the sky. Towering knights had appeared, each one looking terrifying. Queen Nia, Ruigo, Ipha, and Florence.

"What the hell are those giants?!" a guard exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.

"Blast them down at once with Shining Star!" Aurianna commanded, her eyes cold and the diamond in her eye and on her cheek glowed, activating a powerful magic circle that formed in the sky.

"What the hell are those magic circles in the sky?" guards across the country cried out, their hearts pounding with fear. A massive, white magic circle could be seen all over the country.

The ground began to tremble violently as the magic circle drained the land of its energy. People felt a sudden wave of weakness, their bodies heavy and their bodies feeling like they were being crushed. "Such destructive magic power," a terrified voice whispered.

"She’s going to blast us!" a Grand Human woman, one of the King’s most powerful mages, exclaimed, her face pale with fear. She and the other mages hurriedly created a protective shield, hoping to withstand the impending attack.

"Shining Star, full power, eight falling stars!" Aurianna declared. The sky darkened, and eight stars, each imbued with destructive magic, descended from the sky.

"What the hell?! Use the best shields you can make immediately!" the Grand Human woman yelled through a communication cube, her voice filled with urgency. The mages strained, their bodies glowing with magical energy, but the shield began to falter under the relentless assault and inside if the shield the temperature begun to rise.

"The mages can’t hold on!" a guard cried out, watching in horror as one by one, the mages collapsed, falling dead and bleeding excessively.

"Jade, I need some help here," Aurianna grumbled, her eyes fixed on the weakening shield.

"You want my magic power?" Jade asked, his voice filled with hesitation.

"Yeah, what do you think?" Aurianna chuckled, extending her hand. Jade placed his hand in hers, transferring a surge of magical energy into her. With this extra magic, Aurianna amplified the Shining Star’s blast.

’I want his plant skill so bad,’ Aurianna thought, her eyes fixed on Jade. She sighed, sweat beading on her forehead.

A few moments later, the Shining Star blast pierced through the protective shield, engulfing the entire country in a blinding white light. The once-proud country was reduced to a massive crater.

"Our country..." the survivors gasped, their hearts heavy with grief. They knelt on the ground, their eyes fixed on the slowly dissipating pillar of light and the disappearing giant golems.

"It’s good I ran away. No way I was staying there," Marcus chuckled nervously, his hair disheveled. Despite his youthful appearance, he was actually a 70-year-old man. "I knew we shouldn’t have messed with the Sandeph Highland, but Father was always so arrogant," he scoffed, a frown marring his face. With a final glance at the ruined landscape, he mounted his beast and rode away. "Aurianna Vanluad you’ve ruined all my years of hard work. One-day you’ll pay for this!"

[You won the war! You shall receive 200,000 magic coins for defeating an entire country by yourselves.] The angel of war declared, a screen appearing before Aurianna and dropping a small, golden pouch filled with magic coins.
