Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 174 - 160: Another new friend
"I was merely joking, alright? I didn’t mean any of that," Dwane stammered nervously.
"Let’s get over this quickly. Zagan, hold his tongue," Aurianna commanded. held Dwane’s tongue out and held his body down, spreading out his hands and legs. Dwane struggled vehemently, but his attempts were in vain.
"No, stop! Arghh!" Dwane cried out in agony as Aurianna, using her shoe to swiftly sever his tongue. She proceeded to also sever his arms and legs, eliciting more screams of pain, the ground stained with blood.
"Zagan, you may have him as a snack," Aurianna instructed before leaving the dungeon.
Zagan transformed into a monstrous figure, displaying a menacing row of a thousand teeth in front of Dwane.
"Now, back to the hunting grounds. But which way is it?" Aurianna pondered, surveying her surroundings.
But suddenly Aurianna was interrupted by a voice. "Hey, hey, hey, hey," a young fair teenage boy with spiky blue hair and green eyes with a clock in each of them approached her. He wore a flashy green suit, standing as tall as her.
"I thought this trip my father sent me on was going to be dull, but you’ve proven to be more interesting than I anticipated," the boy remarked.
"Why should I care?" Aurianna scoffed, walking away.
"I know what you did," the boy grinned, causing Aurianna to stop and turn back.
"What do you mean?" Aurianna feigned ignorance.
Approaching her, the boy whispered, "I had a glimpse of Dwane’s future when he greeted me. It showed me that you killed him a few minutes ago."
"But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. However, it might strain relations with the Shinia Highland since he was injured or killed in your territory," the boy added, walking away, and Aurianna followed.
"If that’s the case, it’s nothing you need to worry about," Aurianna retorted.
"What if I were to arrest you right now for what you did? Would I be a bad person?" the boy asked, causing Aurianna to jump back, eyeing him warily.
"You’re a Royal Human?" Aurianna asked nervously.
"You guessed it! It’s not just Batholem’s family interested in you. My family is too, though I’m not. I was forced to come," the boy shrugged.
"Who would’ve thought you’d be so interesting and fun? I can read all sorts of people, but not you. When I touched you, I couldn’t read your future or past. Moreover, you didn’t faint like other girls would, acting crazy," the boy said, prompting Aurianna to declare proudly, "That’s because I’m more beautiful than you! So why would I go crazy for your mediocre face when I have my angelic one to admire every morning!" Her words caused him to giggle.
The boy chuckled. "Hey, be my friend!"
"I don’t just befriend anyone," Aurianna turned her head.
"But you befriended Batholem. This is so unfair!" the boy whined.
"I don’t even know your name or age," Aurianna huffed.
"Let me introduce myself. I’m Prince Peter Diondraff of the Holy Land Lohore!" the boy announced with a smile.
"I’m Aurianna Vanluad," Aurianna replied.
"Now, are we friends?" Peter inquired with sparkling eyes.
"I suppose you can say that. But is this how people usually make friends, especially when they know so little about each other?" Aurianna asked as she walked alongside Peter.
"You don’t need to know everything about someone to be friends. You can just become friends and gradually get to know each other!" Peter explained.
"Peter, how far into the future can you see? And are you a monk of the Church of Time?" Aurianna queried.
"Yep, I am! That’s why I can see the future. As for how far I can see, well, I mostly see three paths in a person’s time, and I can see all the way to their death. My ability is quite unique; not everyone can see as far as I can," Peter revealed, and Aurianna nodded in understanding.
"That’s why you’re so indifferent in seeing or knowing someone’s death; with an ability like yours, you always witness other people die," Aurianna blurted out. "Don’t you want to try and change that?" She asked.
"I’ve already learnt my lesson on that one, so nope I don’t try to change it. However, I can help one avoid it for some time. No matter what everybody would always have a day they would die," Peter said coldly.
"But I couldn’t see when you would die," Peter added with a frown.
"What did you see when you touched me?" Aurianna asked curiously.
"Can I hold your hand?" Peter inquired as they both came to a halt.
"Sure, go ahead," Aurianna offered her hand, and Peter took it.
’So soft,’ Peter thought with a smile, closing his eyes.
"So, what did you see?" Aurianna asked curiously.
"Nothing, nothing at all, which is extremely strange and abnormal. The only person who was also like this was the Saintess of Time," Peter said with a frown, releasing her hand.
"Are you perhaps a Saintess?" Peter asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I haven’t heard any god or goddess declare me as their Saintess," Aurianna shook her head.
"I see, strange indeed. What’s even more peculiar is that at your age, you can fight an Arc Human and survive. You remind me of Floops and Starlights with those wings and star golems of yours," Peter blurted out, walking ahead, and Aurianna followed beside him.
"I’m just human," Aurianna shrugged. "Floops and Starlights are on a whole different level, and they live in the skies. It’s rare to see them," Aurianna said, looking up at the sky. "I would love to fight a Starlight one day!" she declared happily.
"I have met one," Peter said proudly, raising his nose high.
"So cool!" Aurianna beamed as her eyes sparkled.
"Tell me! What do they look like?" Aurianna asked with excited eyes.
"Hmm, they look just like humans, but they are abnormally tall, though not taller than giants. They have stars for their eyes, and their hair shines like stars. I heard they can summon stars. Furthermore, one of them, who’s the same age as you, is hailed as a genius who can fight Arc Humans," Peter explained, catching Aurianna’s full attention.
"Interesting, can you tell me who they are?" she asked curiously.
"I honestly have no idea," Peter shook his head. "I only met his assistant, not the prince himself."
"So he’s a prince; then I’ll surely meet him one day and fight him! Do you know his name?" Aurianna asked.
"I have no idea," Peter shook his head again. "And also, how are you so sure that you’ll meet him?"
"If he’s the same age as me, then we’ll definitely meet at the Mystical Academy. A school full of geniuses from around the world. A school filled with a variety of races. That’s the school I aim to attend!" Aurianna declared with shining eyes.
"You’re going there too? That’s amazing! I’m also going there as well!" Peter beamed, holding her hands, which surprised Aurianna a little.
"Look at your age, and you already haven’t gotten in, what a loser," Aurianna scoffed as she removed her hand from his. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Why are you calling me a loser?" Peter cried. "Do you know how hard it is to get into the school? I heard you need to be at least level 100 or above to enter!!" He added with a sulking expression.
"Peh, I can get in easily!" Aurianna said with a nonchalant shrug.
"I’m sure you can, what’s your level?" Peter asked as he was curious.
"I won’t say," Aurianna said with a cheeky grin.
"Stop being so stingy, Aurianna!" Peter cried. "And you should smile more; it would make you less intimidating," he added.
"The reason why I wear such a look is to be intimidating!" Aurianna grunted.
"You’ll become ugly, you know?" Peter said.
"No way!" Aurianna shook her head. "Whatever expression I make shall not make me ugly because I say so!"
"Just smile more," Peter suggested.
"Well, here’s a smile," Aurianna said, giving him a beautiful smile.
"That’s not a smile! That kind gives the vibes of some creepy stalker!" Peter blurted out, causing Aurianna to glare at him.
"How dare you?" she asked as she gripped her fist, almost like she was about to punch him.
"Just speaking facts!" Peter shrugged.
"Wanna race back to the camp?" Peter asked.
"You know it would be easy for me to beat you, right?" Aurianna asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Not really; I have confidence in this one! Race you there!" Peter yelled before dashing off.

Upon arriving at the camp, Aurianna regarded Peter with suspicion, her lips pursed in contemplation.
"What?" Peter inquired, puzzled by her intense scrutiny.
"How did you do that?" Aurianna asked curiously.
"What do you mean?" Peter responded with a cheeky smile.
"You know what I mean! Why did my speed slow down, and yours accelerated?" Aurianna wondered.
"That’s my secret power!" Peter declared proudly, and Aurianna simply rolled her eyes.
"Just tell me!" Aurianna demanded, stomping her foot.
"No can do," Peter shook his head and his finger. "It’s my secret," he said with a grin.
"I can teach you if you want, Aurianna," Eva communicated telepathically to Aurianna.
"You can?"
"Dumbass, did you forget I’m a time goddess? What that kid displayed is nothing more than the fundamental powers of time users. Acceleration, deceleration—they steal their opponent’s speed, and that speed is transferred to them, while your normal speed is reduced," Eva explained, and Aurianna nodded in understanding.
"It’s better you learn time skills yourself; otherwise, it would be troublesome dealing with other time users," Eva advised.
"I understand. When we go to the training grounds, teach me!" Aurianna said with determined eyes, and Eva smiled.
"Don’t worry, I’ll teach you everything I know about time!" Eva declared proudly as she rubbed her nose.
