Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 168 - 154: Birthday
"Aurianna," King Girsal advised as he gently patted her back, "You have just awakened, and I suggest you take the time to dress yourself in the appropriate attire and have a meal. Then, you can return to join in the celebration of your sister’s birthday."
"Very well," Aurianna replied, acquiescing to the directive, and was escorted by a group of female knights. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Following three long hours of preparation, Aurianna made her way towards the throne room. The grand doors swung open, allowing her entrance, and immediately, the attention of the room shifted towards her, distracting Venassa from her ongoing conversation with some men and women.
"Aurianna!" Venassa seethed, her fan gripped tightly in her hand.
Despite the simplicity of Aurianna’s lovely red dress adorned with elegant black bows compared to Venassa’s, she looked so stunning that she captivated everyone. Her hair shimmered like a gem.
"Princess Aurianna, you look absolutely stunning in that dress!" praised a man as he approached her.
"Fuck off," Aurianna replied coldly, dismissing the compliment, and walked away, leaving the man bewildered.
She then approached King Girsal, offering a polite bow and a smile. "Good afternoon, Father and mother."
"I’m glad you’ve awakened, my dear daughter Aurianna," Amber said with a warm smile.
"I hope you’re feeling better," Cecilia asked.
"Yes, I am on the path to getting better, though my body parts have yet to fully regenerate. But don’t worry, they’ll regenerate soon now that I’m awake!"
’Since a year has passed it means I can enter the training grounds again ch,chi, chi,’ Aurianna thought with a smile. ’I’ll get to see Leila again. And I’ll have to ask her about the dream.’
"I would love to introduce you all to my first daughter Aurianna Vanluad!" Queen Amber stated as she walked close to Aurianna and introduced her to the crowd.
"She’s the one who faced Queen Shiba and emerged victorious!" exclaimed a woman, drawing attention.
"A child like her, having fought someone so powerful and survived, is truly extraordinary. She has great things ahead of her!" nodded a mature man.
Abruptly, a man adorned in a luxurious suit approached Queen Amber, commending Aurianna, "Your Majesty, your daughter is truly a prodigy. Her prowess in battle at such a young age is exceptional, able to fight so many people in a war. It’s no surprise of her combat skills since she learns from the best." The man subtly alluded to King Girsal, who responded with an awkward smile.
Aurianna, cheeks puffed with defiance, retorted, "Who said my father was the one who trained me? I trained myself so praise me for my own efforts!!" Despite her rude attitude, her charm caused onlookers to overlook her rudeness.
The man, visibly taken aback, stammered, "Then the princess is undoubtedly a genius among geniuses," nervously offering his praise.
Another well-dressed gentleman, playing with his mustache, stepped forward, proposing, "Your Majesty, I would recommend her enrollment in the Shinia Highland Royal Academy. A prodigy of her caliber deserves nothing less than the best institution for humans on this continent."
Supporting the man, a woman, tears welling in her eyes, stated, "Yes your majesty, the princess was amazing when she was fighting in the war. She loves her country so much that she sacrificed her limbs!" She dabbed her face with a handkerchief.
Aurianna scoffed internally, ’What a load of nonsense these people are spouting. Loving my country? More like I love my life.’ a frown plastered on her face.
Venassa, perturbed by the shift in attention away from her, expressed her frustration, exclaiming, "Did they forget what this event is about? It’s my birthday! It’s all because of that brat!"
"Princess Aurianna, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Marquis Lionheart of the Shinia Highland, and with my recommendation, you can be an honor student at the Shinia Royal Academy, the best human school on the continent," the man proposed proudly.
"How splendid! Thank you, Lionheart. It’s such an honor," King Girsal said politely, eyeing Aurianna, hinting her not to say anything stupid.
Despite the gaze, Aurianna scoffed, "Not interested."
"What??" The room erupted in shock.
"I’m not interested in your school. I’m not going there!" she asserted, staring at Lionheart coldly.
"Aurianna!" King Girsal’s stomp resonated through the room, causing a tremor.
"Why should I go to that school when I attend a superior one — the Mystical Academy!" she declared defiantly.
Iona, expressing disdain, remarked, "That disgusting school?"
Defending her choice vehemently, Aurianna countered, "What is so disgusting about it? It’s the best school in the world! Moreover, it is owned by the Saintess of Light, a Primordial Human!!"
Lionheart, attempted to dissuade Princess Aurianna from attending a particular school, his expression betraying his clear disdain for it. "But it’s filled with other races. Those filthy races. Princess, you mustn’t go to such a school," he urged, his distaste evident.
"Do I know you?!" Aurianna asked coldly. "All of a sudden, you’re acting like we’re familiar with each other, Marquis Lionheart."
Amber, not tolerating her daughter’s tone, berated, "Aurianna, respect yourself!"
With a sweet tone, Aurianna responded, "Mother, I choose what school I go to. Is that clear?" Amber, who’s eyes seemed dazed for a moment, nodded with a smile.
A woman, joining the fray, berated Lionheart, "Lionheart how could you make the princess angry?"
"How inconsiderate of you!" Another man added his disapproval with a frown.
"Just because your country Shinia is known for being full of scholars doesn’t qualify it as the top school in the world!" spat another man, causing Lionheart to shrink at the disdainful words thrown his way.
"How cocky can you be?" sneered a woman.
"They all suddenly turned against him," King Girsal mumbled in disbelief and stared at Aurianna who was smiling, causing him to nervously eye her.
"I didn’t mean...!" Lionheart blurted out, but faced with angry faces, his voice choked.
"Don’t worry. I’m not offended. I’m just a bit annoyed. I’ll be off to my room. Enjoy your birthday, dear sister," Aurianna said with a smile that eased everyone’s hearts before she walked away.
A woman praised with a flushed face, "The princess is more beautiful than the rumors said. She’s even more beautiful in person!"
Seizing the moment, a man approached King Girsal, asking, "Your Majesty, are you looking for fiancé candidates for the princess?"
"Candidate?!" King Girsal, unimpressed, coldly eyed the count, thinking, ’Why is this mediocre count asking that? His son isn’t fit to be Aurianna’s fiancé.’
Planning ahead, King Girsal thought with a smile, ’Since she’s awake, I’ll contact Gray immediately. Maybe we can use marriage to tie her to the church of Paige when she’s of age.’
"Why?!" Venassa cried, downing a cup of wine. "Why is everyone talking about Aurianna!! Did they forget whose birthday it is?" she exclaimed in frustration.
"Venassa, stop with your tantrum. You’re too old to be jealous of a little girl," Helto berated.
"Little girl? Little?!!" Venassa retorted. "What part does she act like a little girl?"
"She’s just a cocky brat. That prideful and disrespectful attitude of hers would be her downfall one day, so you just need to calm yourself down," Helto calmly advised.
"Calm down? Calm down??" Venassa yelled before taking another drink from the table.
"It’s my 75th birthday! So many important figures came today, most who are crucial in establishing trade connections. Now they’re all focused on Aurianna! It’s like whenever people meet that girl, they lose their minds. Why didn’t that brat remain asleep?" Venassa sighed.
"Instead of complaining here, isn’t it better you go and change the topic they are talking about?" Helto suggested, and Venassa looked at her.

"So boring," Aurianna sighed as she entered a room where maids greeted her.
"Princess, please, your food is ready as you requested," a maid stated politely, escorting Aurianna to a dining table full of food.
"This is why I live!" Aurianna beamed happily as she devoured her food.
’The palace is boring as always,’ she thought as she chewed on some meat.
’Also, system, why haven’t I received a notification that Ralph is dead?" Aurianna asked telepathically.
’I noticed that all of my siblings were there at the party, but they were busy with other people, except for him who was absent. But there’s no notification he’s dead,’ she said coldly.
[ It is as you see. ] The system responded.
"So he’s alive?" Aurianna asked.
’Damn, what kind of luck does that brat have? But no matter, that poison would make him a cripple,’ Aurianna thought with an evil grin.
"For the meantime, I’ll just enjoy myself!" She beamed as she ate some pastries.

Four days later, in the country of Sandeph, numerous flying ships could be seen soaring towards Sandeph and landing before the country’s walls. Numerous people rode their luxurious carriages to the palace, leaving the citizens in awe.
"Princess Aurianna is celebrating her birthday!" someone exclaimed.
"I heard she finally woke up," another person said.
"I wonder what is so grand about her waking up. She should have just remained asleep," scoffed another person.

Inside the palace in an extravagant and large ballroom, a steady stream of guests made their way towards King Girsal and Queen Amber, extending greetings and well-wishes and giving them gifts.
Meanwhile, Aurianna maintained her spot by a table filled with all sorts of delicacies, and emitting a disdainful hiss at anyone who dared to approach her.
"It’s a pleasure to see you well, Princess Aurianna, and happy birthday," Prince Zorian approached Aurianna with a warm smile.
"Thank you, Duke Zorian. It’s also good to see you doing well. Why do you approach me, though?" Aurianna inquired, leisurely nibbling on a piece of cake.
"Well, you were standing here looking all intimidating, so I just had to approach you and have a chat, considering I haven’t seen you in a year," Zorian explained.
"Sorry to ask, but did you get bigger?" Aurianna queried, looking up at him.
"Yes, I decided to engage in some weight lifting to strengthen my physique," Zorian nodded.
"That’s good. Does exercise give you more energy?" Aurianna inquired.
"Indeed, I really needed the energy since my workload increased as the Duke’s successor," Zorian replied, a happy tone accompanying his words.
