Chapter 162: Chapter 148: Join me

"I guess it’s finally time," Aurianna declared with a confident grin as she prepared to step forward.

Approaching her, Iona inquired, "Aurianna you would be reviving those dead knights right?" Iona walked towards her as the remaining Sandeph army picked up the dead and injured knights and placed them on stretchers who were taken in for medical care.

Casually speaking, Aurianna replied, "I can’t, unfortunately, I’ve reached my limit for the day, aunt Iona."

Pursing her lips, Iona questioned, "How come?"

"Well if you don’t understand how magic works, let me break it down for you. I’ve reached my damn limit. So even if I wanted to, I can’t revive them anymore. Trying to revive them is beyond my current capabilities," Aurianna explained, rolling her eyes at the lack of Iona’s understanding.

Internally, Aurianna had already made a decision, ’Even if I could, I won’t. I’m saving all of my energy for Queen Shiba and I’m also not giving up on free souls.’

Offended by Aurianna’s disrespectful response, Iona raised her voice, imploring, "Aurianna, you already did something unforgivable, can’t you atleast try it to revive these dead knights to wash away your sin?"

"Shut up," Aurianna retorted with a stern glare.

Addressing Amber, who remained nearby, Iona exclaimed angrily, "Amber, did you not teach etiquette to her? How dare she address the elderly with such disrespect!"

Mocking Iona, Aurianna snickered, "So you admit you’re an old woman."

"I’m not an old woman!" Iona vehemently declared.

Unbothered, Aurianna shrugged and clarified, "Every spell has its limits."

Ignoring Aurianna’s earlier rudeness, Iona calmly asked, "When is the next time you can revive them if your limit has been reached?"

"A month," Aurianna replied, causing Iona to express shock, "By that time, their souls will be lost!"

Aurianna remained nonchalant, stating, "It’s not my problem. My limit is my limit."

Internally sneering, Aurianna thought, ’Why revive them when I can get free souls?’

"Aurianna!" Iona raised her voice again, prompting Cecilia to intervene.

"That’s enough, Iona. Mages have their limits, and can’t force a skill she can no longer use for a while," Cecilia asserted, stepping between them.

Aurianna declared, "I’m going," and walked away.

As Aurianna was going, Iona couldn’t contain her anger, muttering, "I hope you die there, you disrespectful brat!"

Responding with a mischievous grin, Aurianna asked, "Is that a compliment?"

"I am not complimenting you!" Iona retorted, but Aurianna paid her no heed.

Queen and the other four crystal knights walked behind her as they stared straight at Queen Shiba from a distance.

’I just need to survive thirty attacks from Queen Shiba. But is it even possible?’ Aurianna doubted as she stared at the woman.

’I just need to survive,’ Aurianna reassured herself, though fear lingered as she observed Queen Shiba approaching her. The ground crushed beneath her feet with each step she took.

"One," Queen Shiba muttered as in an instant she bypassed the crystal knights and came before Aurianna.

’Shit too fast!!’ Aurianna painicked but before she could attack, a kick landed in her gut sending her flying a kilometer away and she crashed hard on the ground.

Aurianna panted heavily as her eyes trembled. She looked at her stomach which had a hole inside. Her body slowly regenerated as she began to shake.

’Why is my regeneration slow?’ Aurianna wondered.

"Two," Queen Shiba appeared before her again but before she could land a high kick Queen and Nia came before her and attacked her. However, Queen Shiba easily blocked their attacks with her bare hands and feet.

Shiba jumped high in the sky, "Three," she said coldly as she landed a drop kick on Nia causing her body to shatter immediately and the ground below to shatter creating a massive crater below her. Queen Shiba easily landed at the other side of the crater. And Aurianna avoided the attack, due to Abed carrying her in his arms. Aurianna was still in pain from Shiba’s attack.

’I don’t exspect less from the fastest woman on this continent,’ Aurianna thought nervously, eyeing Queen Shiba who glared back.

"Your country has taken everything from me. Once I’m done killing you, I’ll avenge my knights," Queen Shiba vowed.

Internally, Aurianna strategized, ’I have to communicate with her through mind communication. If I speak to her outloud King Girsal would hear me.’

"Ruigo, can you create a connection for me?" Aurianna requested, directing her attention to Ruigo.

"Yes," Ruigo affirmed with a nod.

"Then try," Aurianna commanded, watching as Ruigo’s staff glowed, only to see her purse her lips and frown in response.

"Master, she rejected the connection. Her mind is in a frenzied state," Ruigo informed Aurianna.

"Try again, and don’t stop until a connection is established!" Aurianna commanded.

"Four," Queen Shiba declared, lunging forward. However, her leg attack was intercepted by Queen’s sword attack, causing shock waves that shattered the land.

Nervously observing the fierce exchange between Queen and Shiba, Aurianna thought, ’If I wasn’t held by Abed, the wind from their attacks would have blown me away.’

As the battle continued, Aurianna thought, ’Now, as I closely watch her fight, Queen is indeed a highly skilled fighter.’

’Queen Shiba I need to speak with you.’ Aurianna said telepathically, looking at Queen Shiba. However, she suddenly felt her head ache showing that the connection was cut off once again.

"Five," Shiba announced, removing a massive double-edged axe from her space ring. Effortlessly wielding the weapon, she swung it and she created massive arc of dark wind that slashed through kilometers on the battlefield.

Seeing Queen struggle to parry every blow from Shiba, Aurianna noticed Queen expanding her body back to its original size.

"Six," Shiba declared, dashing towards Aurianna. Attempting to behead her, Aurianna closed her eyes in fear and suddenly felt Abed’s grip vanish. She found herself a kilometer away, witnessing Queen Shiba shatter Abed’s body with her axe’s slash.

Nia, who had regenerated, attacked from behind, but Shiba anticipated her presence, using the axe to once again cut her to pieces.

Perplexed, Shiba wondered, "What just happened?" A moment before reaching Aurianna, the young girl transformed into light, reappearing elsewhere.

"Seven," Shiba counted, appearing behind Aurianna. Despite using the axe to slash her surroundings, Aurianna continued to teleport, her body turning into light and quickly returning to its original form.

"What is happening? Teleportation? But I’m not using that," Aurianna pondered with a frown as she herself was confused as well.

"Due to you consuming all those souls, you’re slowly becoming one with light. You can move with light. But not so well at the moment," Eva explained.

"Interesting," Aurianna grinned.

"A high-level light magic user. You’re blessed, kid. Geniuses like you are one in a million, which is why I’ll kill you today!" Queen Shiba declared, unleashing dark magic that covered the sky.

"It’s a shame you had to face a dark magic user like me," Shiba smirked, her leg and axe infused with dark mana.

"Shit, shit, shit, of all magic why did she need to have dark magic??!!" Aurianna panicked as she attempted to use her new light light teleport, but Shiba immediately closed the distance between them and grabbed her neck.

Aurianna struggled to free herself and Shiba’s grip on her neck just got tighter and tighter.

’Aurianna think, what would move Queen Shiba to come to her senses and let me speak with her!’ Aurianna’s mind raced frantically. However, Shiba wasn’t to patient. She threw Aurianna up in the sky and jumped. She then landed a kick to her gut which sent her flying towards the erected rocks created from Shiba and Queen’s attacks.

Trembling, Aurianna watched white blood flow from her wounded gut and mouth.

"What a monster you are. You’re clearly human, but you can heal. Even if I die here today, I would do the other countries a favour by killing you," Shiba remarked as she appeared before Aurianna.

Refusing to endure any more attacks, Aurianna materialized a revolver, firing light bullets at Queen Shiba. However, the bullets have no effect on Shiba at all. Queen teleported Aurianna to her palm, and a tiny ball of strange white magic appeared in the sky.

"Master, I’m going to teach you a new skill, and only you can use this skill to its fullest potential," Queen informed Aurianna, who lay in her palms.

"White hole." Queen declared as the tiny white hole descended towards Shiba, confusing her momentarily. Suddenly, a colossal blast of energy erupted, obliterating the surroundings and bathing the battlefield in a blinding white light. The energy condensed back into the ball and released an much larger blast of white light.

After the light subsided, the entire battlefield was destroyed.

Queen Shiba however was fine. She stared at her slightly burned hand and glared at the golems.

"Even if we use it, we can never release the full potential of the White hole," Queen said with a disappointed tone.

"You can release the full potential? that tiny thing is enough to wipe out Sandeph if you use it three times!!" Aurianna exclaimed as she watched the deep hollow ground beneath her. It looked so deep that she couldn’t see the bottom.

"Reckoning!" Ruigo yelled as an array of mini stars filled the sky and launched themselves at Shiba creating a massive chain of explosions. Shiba used her dark shield to protect herself as she frowned.

’What would make Queen Shiba stop and listen to me?’ Aurianna thought carefully as she used this moment where as Shiba was occupied to think.

’That’s it!!’ a thought popped up in her head as she smiled and looked down to see Queen Shiba cleave the explosion in half.

’This woman is terrifying, but that’s why I want her on my side,’ Aurianna thought with a crazy grin.

"I can revive your son!" Aurianna yelled telepathically and Shiba’s eyes widened as she stared at Aurianna.

"Lies! He died by those new weapons your country created!" Shiba yelled telepathically as she glared at Aurianna as she gripped her axe.

"I messed with them so you men can be saved!" Aurianna said.

"How are you even talking to me telepathically, what is your goal by trying to be secretive?" Queen Shiba asked.

"Because I can’t let my dearest father hear what I have to say," Aurianna said with a grin. "Also if you’re willing to listen let’s pretend to continue fight. We can’t just stare at each other." Aurianna hinted and she meant there were watchful eyes around.

Nia and Abed dashed towards Queen Shiba however it was noticable that her attack power lessened.

"Speak, any foolish words then I’ll have your head," Queen Shiba threatened coldly. "I’d rather not listen to the brat who killed so many of my knights and ate her own knights."

"But you know, your knights just had to die," Aurianna said in a cute toen.

"You little!" Shiba glared at her as she appeared before Queen and attacked. Luckily Queen teleported Aurianna into Ruigo’s palm and blocked Shiba’s attack.

"Let me explain!" Aurianna yelled telepathically, "Over 400,000 people would fight a war and even if some were to survive and escape if you losed the war, they would eventually get caught, most would die under the hands of my father’s army. Space rings can’t keep alive things. So isn’t it better that they are all dead so they can all be easily kept in a space ring? With you being the fastest woman in the continent you can easily run away with all of them. That better than their bodies being destroyed by my father." Aurianna explained.

"Be rational do you think you can win against my father, knowing who is behind him?" Aurianna asked raising an eyebrow.

"Tch!" Queen Shiba clicked her tongue and frowned in displeasure.

"That’s it, so why not join those who want to oppose him? The demons!!" Aurianna proposed happily.

"And why would I do that after you killed all my men and yours?" Shiba reminded her.

"No need to be so fierce," Aurianna chuckled but noticing Queen Shiba’s angry gaze she said, "Hey hey I’m joking."

"Did you forget I’m a Saintess?" Aurianna said with a smile.

"And you think you can revive 400,000 people?" Queen Shiba asked with a mocking tone.

"I can," Aurianna said confidently.

"I would have believed you. Even though you claimed you messed with their weapons in the second round, I cannot say the same for your shoes for the first," Shiba said.

"These are fakes you know? How can I possibly kill the souls of the people whom I would love to have by my side to oppose King Girsal," Aurianna said.

"You have my interest, but speak fast, they are starting to notice something is off," Shiba stated. "So what is your main point?"

"I thought I already made myself clear, but I’ll say it again. Join the demons, Queen Shiba and become my subordinate," Aurianna said.

"Hahaha, you want to make an Arc Human your subordinate? How arrogant and confident of you," Shiba sneered.

"Sometimes one needs to be confident in order to gain what they want. And it’s in your best interest not to refuse. If I didn’t intervene and mess with their weapons, Girsal’s army would have killed your men with their anti Saintess weapons. Although my first batch wasn’t given these weapons due to how limited they are," Aurianna said.
