Chapter 135: Chapter 121: Success

"Hmm so child what’s going to happen next?" Valfar asked.

"Well," Aurianna began with a confident smile, snapping her fingers, which caused numerous large eyes to materialize throughout the hall. Each eye bore a distinct appearance with a white iris and a dazzling diamond-like pupil. Remarkably, despite their considerable size, these eyes remained unnoticed by the knights in attendance.

"Now then you must all just look into my eyes," Aurianna stated with an alluring tone. In an instant, her light blue eyes transformed into a luminous white, adorned with a gleaming diamond-like center, "With my power, I hereby declare you all as my servants!"

"It is done. You must patiently await the day when Sandeph goes to war with the Infinite Nation, which is just three weeks away. These Suckers will aid in your escape; they are teleportation devices," Aurianna explained, reaching into her bag and tossing several of these devices onto the floor. They swiftly infiltrated various cells, blending seamlessly with their surroundings. "For those who did not receive one initially, don’t worry, for they can change location at will. Moreover, they possess the ability to deactivate the collars around your necks."

One of the prisoners voiced concern, "What do we do about those knights there? Once they see us disappearing and try to catch or stop us? Even worse reporting to King Girsal."

"If they aren’t charmed by me on that day when my face is displayed throughout the whole country, feel free to kill them." Aurianna responded casually, her tone devoid of emotion.

"Now then your duty is to protect the prisoners and follower the Demon commanders to their hideout. You must do this to ensure that you all don’t get captured!" Aurianna instructed as she strolled along the balcony overlooking the cells.

"Remember, one slip-up could summon a Grand Human to hunt you down, and betrayal, your head goes boom!" she added with a slightly unhinged smile before clasping her hands together. "Now let’s all do our best to follow this simple plan okay!" She concluded with a cute wink.

"Leading a bunch of slaves, sounds like a piece of cake," remarked a guy with hair resembling a scorpion’s tail, his casual tone suggesting he wasn’t overly concerned.

Aurianna materialized before Valfar’s cell, wearing a confident grin. "Valfar, I’m entrusting them to your capable hands," she chirped. "Clearly, you’re the strongest one here among this bunch. So, if anyone decides to defy my orders, you have my blessing to kill them, in case my magic doesn’t cut it." She said this with a cold expression.

"Sure thing, my dear master," Valfar replied with a grin, but the others in the room appeared quite uneasy.

"Heh, not sure you can trust us, huh?" inquired a man with a pair of scars running across both his eyes.

"Why would I put complete trust in a bunch of criminals? If you guys are a bunch of ordinary criminals, your cells wouldn’t be rigged with so much magic and body restraints. If I mess up, you might just come after my head, if I’m not careful," Aurianna declared in a firm, cold tone. "You can disconnect us now, Valfar." She ordered, and Valfar nodded, complying.

Aurianna’s breath quickened as she felt a sinking sensation in her chest, panting and collapsing to the ground. "I seriously thought I was in deep trouble there," she admitted, visibly anxious, "All those eyes on me felt so suffocating. As well as the pressure being emitted from them."

"We’re not a bunch of ruffians, you know?" Valfar remarked with a light chuckle.

"And to think everyone here is an Arc Human. If they decide to team up, I could be toast," Aurianna nervously murmured as she picked herself up.

"So, was all that tough talk just for show?" Ostusi asked, looking a bit puzzled.

"No, it wasn’t! I’m serious about taking down the Church of Paige and Sandeph, no matter what!" Aurianna declared, her fists clenching in determination.

"Kyayayayaya!" Valfar burst into laughter, earning a bemused and slightly disgusted look from Aurianna, who found his laugh rather off-putting.

"By the way, isn’t it a bit too quiet in here?" Aurianna asked, finding it odd that a group of Arc Humans would remain so quiet.

"That’s because a Grand Human is here," Valfar revealed laying back on his chains causing them to chink.

"A Grand Human!! Why??" Aurianna gasped. "I knew one would come but not so soon," she added nervously, a bit of sweat dripping down her face.

Valfar leaned in, his tone laced with gravity. "You see, the church engages in trade with Sandeph, and, in return, they receive the weapons being created down here," he elaborated. Aurianna furrowed her brow, studying him intently as he spoke.

"Why would the churches wage war against each other, though? Aren’t they all part of the same or even practice the same religion?" Ostusi inquired, prompting Aurianna to shoot him a quizzical look.

"If they truly were, then why do their moral values differ so much?" Aurianna countered with a hint of doubt in her voice.

"Valid point, but I need some concrete examples," Ostusi insisted, folding his arms determinedly.

Valfar chimed in, offering an example. "Like how Paige’s church is the only one involved with slavery," he revealed, causing Aurianna’s eyes to widen in mild surprise.

"Is it really just her church?" Aurianna probed, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"Yes, indeed. Slavery was abolished long ago," Valfar confirmed, and Aurianna’s frown deepened as she crossed her arms. However, a sly smile crept onto her face.

’Something to use against Paige, huh?’ she mumbled. "But it still doesn’t quite add up for a Grand Human to visit for mere weapons," she added, her expression shifting as a sudden realization struck her. She turned to Valfar with widened eyes. "It was you, wasn’t it? A Death Folk, the crucial component for crafting the weapons, a rare race, and possessing power at the level of an Arc Human, yet even stronger. Am I correct, Valfar?"

Valfar shrugged with a playful grin. "I can’t say you’re wrong. By the way, your eyes and nose are bleeding," he casually pointed out.

Aurianna instinctively touched her nose and inspected her hand, discovering white blood. She wore a perplexed expression as she murmured, "Why is my blood white?"

"It’s rather unusual for a human to have white blood; theirs is mostly red. Has your blood always been white?" Ostusi inquired, his fingers brushing the blood running down her cheek as he examined his stained fingertips.

"No, it hasn’t," Aurianna replied with a shake of her head.

As her thoughts raced, she considered, ’Could this be related to the Diamond Awakening, or perhaps the strain I placed on myself by marking all these Arc Humans as my servants? It seems I can’t fully unleash my power on them yet. Well, this will certainly be interesting. For now, I’ll have to rely on my charm to keep them in control,’ she mused with a mischievous grin.

"Aurianna, you’ve been rather quiet for a while now," Ostusi noted, gently tapping her on the shoulder and drawing her attention back to reality.

"I couldn’t read her thoughts this whole time. Kya, Kya, Kya, interesting," Valfar mumbled with a chuckle, his eyes fixed on Aurianna.

"Valfar, are there any more prisoners nearby?" Aurianna inquired.

"In the next room, the Dungeon of Fire, you’ll find thousands more, but be warned, they’re even more dangerous and heavily guarded," Valfar warned, gesturing towards the imposing red door on the other side of the room.

"Then it looks like we’ve got more work to do, Ostusi," Aurianna said with a mischievous grin, ready to face the challenges ahead.

"It’s truly an honor to have you here, Apostle Gray," King Girsal greeted respectfully, kneeling before the young lady standing before him. She appeared to be a fair, teenage girl with a pink cloth covering her eyes, her bald head encircled by a black and golden metallic halo. A massive, burly golem held her in its arms.

Floating beside her were two enormous keys, each as tall as she was. She sat down on the golem gracefully, her long pink robe flowing, adorned with the church’s emblem—a heart with a cross in the center, with the silhouettes of two women on either side.

"Are the weapons ready?" Gray inquired, and King Girsal promptly rose from his kneel, rushing to his office table before presenting her with a ring.

Gray accepted the ring with a satisfied smile and held it up. "Excellent. As a token of our appreciation, here’s the Sacred Kielbasa’s blood and 200,000 magic coins for your efforts," she announced, stepping down from her golem and using her pink ring to tap King Girsal’s.

King Girsal examined his ring with a pleased expression, unaware of the subtle frown on Gray’s lips.

"It’s always a pleasure to do business with the Church of Paige," King Girsal said with a courteous bow.

"This time, your weapons have reached an even higher level of quality. I must say, I’m impressed by your swift development. Is your connection with the Mechas still stable?" Gray asked curiously.

"It is, but I’ve noticed that it’s slowly weakening," King Girsal replied, touching the side of his head, revealing a faint green glow.

"Be sure to stay updated on their latest weapon advancements of the Mechas. We need more firepower to bring down the Church of War, and they happen to be the only race craft the finest weapons better than dwarves. Unfortunately, they’re not keen on collaborating with any other race, and threatening them is out of the question, as they’re even stronger than us humans," Gray declared with an icy tone.

"Those fucking bastards are becoming an ever-growing nuisance. They should hurry up and kick the bucket, those war monger bitches. These darn motherfucking lunatics, maniacs to be exact, need to be swiftly eradicated so I can devote my precious time to Master Kielbasa," Gray grumbled, impatiently tapping her feet on the ground.

’For someone who’s a church Apostle, she sure likes to curse,’ King Girsal thought, observing Gray.

"By the way, Apostle Gray, would you consider being a spectator at the upcoming conflict between Sandeph and the Infinite Nation?" King Girsal inquired politely, offering a warm smile.

"I have no time for such trivial matters," Gray rebuffed, shaking her head.

"Very well. Are you planning to depart soon?" King Girsal asked.

"Most likely. Master Kielbasa’s blood can regenerate your limbs, allowing you to rid yourself of those abhorrent mecha parts," Gray sneered.

"I am deeply grateful to Sacred Kielbasa for this blessing," King Girsal expressed with a thankful smile.

"There’s something that’s been bothering me as well," Gray mentioned, her gaze fixed on King Girsal.

"I sensed a large amount of light magic, different from the Saintess’s own, within the castle. However, it suddenly vanished a few hours ago while I was eating," Gray blurted out.

"That would be my daughter, then," King Girsal revealed. "I presume so, as she tends to use light spells."

"Which daughter?" Gray asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Aurianna Vanluad, madam," King Girsal replied.

"She possesses remarkable potential. How old is she?" Gray inquired.

"Nine."

"You can’t be serious," Gray replied, raising an eyebrow and wearing a skeptical expression. However, King Girsal nodded in affirmation.

"I assure you, Apostle. But I’m curious why you pursed your lips," King Girsal remarked with a serious tone.

"Are you telling me you don’t know her level? You can’t even sense it?" Gray questioned.

"Well, she’s a child full of secrets and surprises," King Girsal shrugged. "It’s as if she sometimes conceals her level or something."

"That amount of light magic is highly unusual for a mere nine-year-old. I’d like to meet your daughter. With her talent, I could consider taking her under my wing as my apprentice," Gray stated, a hint of a smile forming on her face.

"That would indeed be an honor. However, that child is quite an abnormality. Upon your arrival, I was also hoping you could help determine her power level. She hasn’t reached the age where her level can be accurately measured. But since you’ve already decided to check, I would be most grateful if you could provide that insight," King Girsal expressed with a note of anticipation.

"Of course, I don’t mind," Gray replied, her tone carrying a hint of intrigue.
