Roadmap to the Boundless Sky-Chapter 188Book 3, : Plan
On the way back, Chen Chuan suddenly realized that he had more ideas on how to improve upon his technique.
After all, when he taught Lu Fang and his two seniors, he was also clarifying what he had learned.
Jiang Tian had mentioned that theory was as important as getting experience from real fights, and he was right. Not only could he use theory to know where his path would lead to in the future, but he could also review and sort out all that he had learned.
By the looks of it, it would be a good idea to become a lecturer in the future.
Chen Chuan sped up and passed by the colorful screens on the buildings around him on his way to Martial Valor University.
Once he was back inside, he took a shower and changed his Realm Pass for the one Liang Guanghai had given him.
After activating it, a screen showed up in front of him. Two intersecting curved lines moved around like waves. Then, they moved away, one to the top, and the other to the bottom. But their ends seemed to be connected, making them look as if they were separated but also linked together.
Once the lines disappeared, the World Ring Defense System’s platform showed up. At the same time, he heard a voice. “Verified user to be Chen Chuan, Class Two Officer of the Resolution Department. Officer Chen, would you like to log into the World Ring Defense System platform?”
“Yes,” he confirmed.
His ID flashed on the screen for a moment before the platform’s portal showed up.
It had plenty of information regarding the World Ring and everything related to it. With just a brief scan, Chen Chuan could already see a lot of things he needed to pay attention to.
But after a little bit of browsing, he found that he needed authorization to access most of the information.
There was also a dedicated discussion channel with quite a lot of people. Judging by their IDs, they were all Third Limit martial artists participating in the World Ring’s defense.
Since Chen Chuan hadn’t actually taken up any defense missions yet, he hadn’t been verified as a defender. So, he didn’t have the authorization to read any of the content related to the World Ring’s defense.
Just then, he noticed that he had received a document, which was likely the one Liang Guanghai had mentioned.
He clicked on it, and it immediately showed him all the things he needed to pay attention to regarding the World Ring’s defense and the rules he needed to obey.
At the very bottom was some basic information about Chen Bitong, the man Liang Guanghai had told him to watch.
He was stationed at the frontlines of the World Ring when he was twenty years old, and it had been more than twenty years since then. He had rejected multiple promotions and taught many of those younger than he was. Hence, he had quite a good reputation among the defenders.
Chen Bitong seemed to have a strong background as well. It was likely that he was a member of some faction.
The breach in the World Ring’s defense was a major matter. Even though Chen Bitong had been called into questioning, when the investigation team wanted to dig deeper, a lot of defenders came forward to be his guarantors. Some higher-ups also spoke for him, so he was released right away.
Liang Guanghai had also mentioned that Chen Bitong was about to become a martial arts master.
Chen Chuan felt like he had heard that term before, so he searched it on the platform. This time, he didn’t need any authorization to get this information.
Martial arts masters were martial artists who had polished their bodies to perfection, had their beliefs deeply rooted within them, and had their minds transcended. They were able to master martial arts that surpassed the limits of the human body. Hence, they were known as martial arts masters.
But there was no mention of what martial arts they were.
Chen Chuan pondered over this for a moment. Cao Guiqi had said that the Third Limit was basically the greatest height that the human body could reach. Thus, was he correct to assume that martial arts masters were beyond it?
Chen Bitong had stated blatantly that he was about to become a martial arts master. So, Chen Chuan believed that even though Chen Bitong was still a Third Limit martial artist, his body and mind had already reached the peak of the Third Limit. He had to be far stronger than all the people Chen Chuan had faced before.
If I fight against him, will I be able to figure out my path forward? I’m sure of it, he thought.
And he believed that he would have a chance to fight against Chen Bitong.
Chen Chuan took one more look at Chen Bitong’s photo before swiping it away. He then went and read all the compulsory material before logging off the platform. Since it was quite late, he practiced his breathing technique for a moment before going to bed.

Chen Chuan rested until the middle of November. Since he spent the entire time relaxing, he retrieved quite a lot of memories from the medicine. Most of them were related to martial arts.
This fit Chen Chuan’s theory that his parents deliberately left their memories for the old Chen Chuan to learn martial arts. It was highly likely that they believed that Chen Chuan would have only just started learning martial arts when he got the memories, so if he looked at it objectively, he would have had a much easier time learning martial arts if things had gone exactly as his parents had planned.
But the plan veered off course at some point, and Chen Chuan only got the memories when he reached the Third Limit. The clues Chen Chuan wanted were likely to only appear after all the martial arts-related memories.
But he wasn’t in a hurry. As time passed, he got stronger, and he believed that even if something went wrong, he could handle it easily.
Another two days passed, and it was the seventeenth of November. On that day, Chen Chuan received a message.
Yan Yi: Mr. Chen, Mr. Meng will officially announce Miss Shu as the company’s successor the day after tomorrow. All the Meng family members will be there. The company will send a security team to pick her up, but we need you to take charge of Miss Shu’s primary safety.
Chen Chuan: Got it. I’ll come over today.

Big Sis Huan was listening to her team members’ excited report in her apartment.
“Based on the passive biosentient entities’ simulations, our chances of winning will be above 70% if we add Jiang Huowang to our plans. The few times we fail are when we take into account unexpected incidents involving the target.
“If Jiang Huowang cooperates with us properly, then our chances of success will be above 90%!”
Big Sis Huan remained calm.
A team member had suggested bringing Jiang Huowang into their team for a while now. She hadn’t agreed to it in the beginning because while Jiang Huowang was strong, his personality was a bit flawed. He was incredibly self-centered and often acted on a whim. The moment he got worked up, he didn’t listen to any orders. Hence, the cons of him joining their team outweighed the pros.
But the results from the simulation changed her mind.
Even if Jiang Huowang joined them, the results never got worse.
If Jiang Huowang did well, they would benefit from having him with them. If he didn’t, then all they needed to do was play their part and pretend Jiang Huowang wasn’t in their team.
“We’ll use this plan. Fill in the details and perfect it,” she ordered.
Just then, someone spoke up urgently. “Big Sis Huan, we noticed the target leaving his room. Border Fusion is going to announce its new successor during the briefing the day after tomorrow. I’m sure that the target is going to White Bird District first to send Meng Shu to the company the day after tomorrow.
“His route is obvious, and we’ve performed multiple simulations before. Should we attack him while he’s on his way to White Bird District?”
Big Sis Huan considered it. Chen Chuan was alone, and they knew where he was going. They also had a plan, so this was indeed a good chance...
But she didn’t rush into a decision and took some time to think. “What if we attack while he’s escorting Meng Shu to the company the day after tomorrow? I remember that we have a plan for that as well.”
The team member couldn’t understand her decision. “We do, but the difficulty of the mission will increase. We might also run into more than one Third Limit martial artist. This won’t be beneficial for us, and the Resolution Department might step in.”
“No. The failures in the previous simulations were all because of the target running away after things went south for him. If we attack him while he’s escorting Meng Shu out of White Bird District, he won’t be able to run away, because he has to protect the successor. This will be a good chance for us,” Big Sis Huan analyzed the situation calmly.
“But with Jiang Huowang, we don’t need to take such a risk...”
“We can’t rely on Jiang Huowang alone. We need to be ready to change tactics during the attack. While Border Fusion has a security team, our team is made entirely of Third Limit martial artists. We don’t need to care about those normal people. They won’t be able to stop us.
“Once we launch our ambush and the target realizes that he’s the one we want to kill, he’ll step forward to attract our attention. That’ll be our chance to kill him.”
“We’ll only have a short time to kill him, then. The Resolution Department is sure to station officers around him, and they will quickly arrive to aid him.”
“If he doesn’t run, how long can he last under our onslaught?”
“Up to ten minutes at most.”
“That’ll be enough. Perform another simulation based on this plan and polish the details. Also, add another thing to the plan: To ensure everyone’s safety, the operation will last only ten minutes. If we can’t kill the target within that timeframe, we leave,” Big Sis Huan instructed.
After the call, Big Sis Huan continued mulling over the plan before contacting someone. After a while, the person answered the call and immediately started complaining, “The higher-ups have been nagging nonstop and asking when you’re going to do your job. I’ve been keeping them at bay, but if you had taken any more time, I would have called you myself.”
Big Sis Huan went straight to the point. “We’re going to attack the target the day after tomorrow.”
“You are?” The person perked up before realizing what was going to happen. “You’re going to attack him while he’s on his way to Border Fusion?”
“We’ve come up with a plan. We also brought Jiang Huowang back in order to ensure the operation’s success. I’ll also join the operation myself,” Big Sis Huan declared.
“What kind of help do you need from me?” the person asked sternly.
“If you can, draw away some of the Resolution Department’s attention,” Big Sis Huan requested.
The person seemed quite troubled by that, but in the end, he said, “I’ll do my best. Be careful of which road you choose for your attack. Do your best to not strike in places where Resolution Department officers are stationed.”
“I don’t need you telling me that. Also, in order to make sure we succeed, I need you to hire two more people from the official platform,” Big Sis Huan said as she went to the side to look at the rotating Ferris wheel in front of her.
