Rise Of The Infinite Sovereign-Chapter 416: The Sovereign Universe
Chapter 416: The Sovereign Universe
Ezra made preparations, setting down the pill cases and astral elixirs in front of him.
He warmed up with deep breaths to acclimatize himself with the energy rich atmosphere.
Done, he began by ingesting a Soul Concentration Pill to clear his mind of all stray thoughts, before following up with the usual mixture of a top tier Astral Elixir and an Energy Concentration Pill.
Closing his eyes, Ezra began cultivating.
Instantly, the energy in the atmosphere began to flow to Ezra like a vacuum, and after five minutes, the hazy outline of a cyclone surrounded him.
After ten minutes, the cyclone deepened and became much more visible.
Countless energy particles swam around Ezra, putting him literally in the center of a small storm.
Being in the secret realm all by himself, Ezra did not hold back but indulged himself.
He focused on constantly absorbing as much energy as he possibly could, shoving it onto his soul for refinement, intent on testing just how fast his cultivation speed had become.
To avoid any disruption, he ingested new pills whenever he noticed its effects running low.
He only stopped after more than sixteen hours of cultivation, with the light above the secret realm having gone dark.
Out of his trance, Ezra calmed himself, examining his body’s condition.
He was mentally exhausted but physically energized.
’Now then’ he thought, looking into his body to feel how much his cultivation had increased.
The results were truly shocking.
"Woah" Ezra inexplicably exclaimed.
The increase in speed was that shocking.
With only the pill and Astral Elixir, he was cultivating roughly one percent of the energy needed to break through every day on Polaim. He had just cultivated five percent in the past sixteen hours!
Gaining five percent of a whole realm in less than a day!
If he cultivated the whole day, wouldn’t this mean he could reach six percent or even slightly more?!
Regardless that it was a minor realm, if others heard of this, very few Transcendents across the whole Universe would be able to call themselves geniuses.
This was just too much!
But Ezra doesn’t know this.
In his mind, anyone with the same environment and pills would be able to achieve the same result, if not better.
’No wonder there are so many Nascents, there must be millions of others who have the same or even faster cultivation speed’
...!
Thinking like this, Ezra’s motivation skyrocketed as he felt the wideness of the Universe once more.
’I have to cultivate more’
In truth, beyond the treasures and the atmosphere, his physique was a large factor as to how Ezra was able to absorb such a large amount of energy so fast.
Most Transcendents, regardless of pills or elixirs, would be unable to absorb so much energy in a single day.
Even amongst a select few races, they would need to take a day off to properly refine such a large amount of energy, and if they were able to absorb such an amount consistently, they would take even longer to refine it the closer they got to breaking through.
So, at best, a Transcendent was expected to use at least two and a half years breaking through all six minor realms before achieving Nascence else the stability of their cultivation would be compromised, making future breakthroughs more perilous.
But it had only been seven months since Ezra became a Transcendent and his cultivation was not compromised in the least!
Such a thing is not supposed to be possible.
But it is.
Unlike every other Transcendent, Ezra’s soul was primed for energy absorption.
With the energy refinement process being almost completely automated, he was the only Transcendent that could cultivate for days on end.
Cultivating for ten days straight without a break wasn’t something other Transcendents dared to even try.
Yet, with his physique, Ezra could cultivate from the start of a minor realm till breakthrough without a need for a break if he set his mind to it!
No other Transcendent could do that!
Like having a constipation, they would be forced to release much of the absorbed energy and would even have to halt cultivating for a good while if they didn’t want to damage their bodies, or worse, end up in an early grave.
As usual, Zydrax, who was knowledgeable about the topic, didn’t bother enlightening Ezra at this point in time.
After all, the stronger Ezra got, the better for him.
Also, Ezra hadn’t bothered to ask him about it, so what was the need to give unnecessary advice?
The last factor was something Ezra had forgotten about.
The [Galaxy’s Champion] Title.
[Cultivation speed and effectiveness is increased by a base multiplier of twenty in all areas]
While he now held the Halostar galaxy in his soul, he wasn’t cultivating within it, so the effects were lessened.
Nevertheless, its effects were undeniably active.
Rationally, with four months ahead, or one hundred and twenty days to go, he was perfectly capable of achieving Nascence before the next year.
And that was exactly what Ezra intended to do.
With that, Ezra wanted to get right back to cultivating, but since his test run had suddenly become a stay for four months, Ezra decided to inform his close subordinates of his disappearance and at the same time give them the tasks he had already planned out.
Starting with Sidal, Ezra appointed him a task he ought to have given him a long time ago, which is to find out the identity of the Black Dragon that used to reside in Polaim.
Ezra handed Sidal the finding he had to make the task easier to complete by the time he got back.
After that, he informed the clan leader of his departure, citing seclusive training as the motive.
The clan leader accepted before laying out a complaint that Ezra hadn’t sold them any Ladium which he must have acquired from the madlands.
Ezra addressed this quickly by handing a few pieces of Ladium to Sidal to be sold to the Red Dragon clan.
After that, he bought the bodies of twenty rank six Incipients and returned to Orion to give them to Severus.
Severus’s demonic aura had almost completely diminished since the last time he saw him but the two horns on his head were now retractable, which is why he hadn’t seen them the last time he came.
As for Orion’s progress, he had just gone over that a day before.
With all other things on his to-do list done, Ezra took a slow pace in fulfilling his last objective which was having a meal with his mother.
Using <Sovereign’s Movement>, he took her to the best restaurant in Niton - obviously owned by Black Jaws - for dinner.
Here, he shared the stories of his exploits with her over the course of many hours, filling her in on many terminologies and the structure of the outer world while also getting in on her own experiences during the past few months.
It was a wonderful time that saw both parties beaming with smiles and laughter, as well as a few burps from the good food.
Five hours passed like this.
Ezra then ended it with the notice of his disappearance for the next four months.
His mother sighed in response, gazing at her son with caring eyes.
"I would hope you wouldn’t leave, but I won’t do that to you" she said, caressing his hand.
"My baby boy has grown into strong and fine man...just make sure to take care of yourself"
"I am taking good care of myself though" Ezra retorted.
"I hope so" she intoned, giving a side eye.
"You should visit more and let us do things like this more often"
"Alright mother, I will try"
She nodded.
"That’s good enough"
Silence lingered for a few seconds with mother and son simply staring at one another.
"Now then, you should get going, I have others things to do as well"
With slow steps, Ezra stood up and exited the restaurant with a heavy heart, vanishing from sight soon after.
He reappeared in the space above the planets, taking a good moment to look over the expanse of planets in his universe, perusing them one by one.
Taking his time to look over the bright channel of stars and planets, Ezra couldn’t help but be appreciative.
’It’s beautiful’ he thought.
At this moment, a voice popped into his head.
<Champion, is anything the matter>
It was Viprus.
’No, there’s nothing. And I told you to call me Ezra’
<Aren’t they interchangeable?>
Ezra lets off a small chuckle, shaking his head.
’Don’t worry about it’
<...Have you finally decided on a name?>
"What?"
<You previously mentioned that you were still thinking up a name for the universe. Have you decided on what to name it?>
This question sent Ezra’s thoughts spinning.
He had delayed it for so long because he hadn’t found a name that really fit and sounded right.
Even now, a proper name eluded him. All he came up with sounded like they would fit planets better, rather than a universe.
So he was still lost for a name.
At this moment, his head prompted a word.
Wasn’t there a word that would suit it perfectly...?
"The Sovereign Universe" Ezra muttered.
<Is that the name you have decided upon?> Viprus remarked.
Blinking, Ezra contemplated.
’It sounds better than most of what I’ve come up with and fits perfectly’
It was a very short contemplation.
"Yes, that is the name I have decided" he replied.
"This is the Sovereign Universe!"
Upon making this proclamation-
*OOOM*
-his body glowed, letting off a circle shaped ripple in space as a notification greeted him.
{Granting designation to the Universe Soul Space...}
{Designation granted}
{The Sovereign Universe is established}
