"Hm..." Zee Whang showed a pondering expression.
"Stop acting like this is not a good deal. It’s this or continue serving as another human’s underling. I know you hate that," Amon said.
"Tch! Don’t talk like you know me."
"Then stop wasting time. I want your answer, now! That, or I let this guy eat you."
Bo Wu’s shadow emerged from Amon’s left arm. It was chuckling madly while saying, "Say no, please. I beg you."

Amon glanced at Dao Su upon his remark. "Soul imprint...? Is that how this hell beast is attached to me?"

"Hm..." Amon was interested to know further, but he didn’t have the time for that now. He returned his attention to Zee Whang and asked, "What will it be?"
"Tch! So be it. I guess I will have to bear your presence for now," Zee Whang answered.
"I want the same offer!"
They turned to Dao Su, who had just spoken.
"Hell, no! I don’t want to be in the same room as you again!" Zee Whang exclaimed.
"Shut up. I’m the one who made the decision," Amon told Zee Whang. He turned to Dao Su and said, "You are in." He was planning to give the offer to Dao Su from the start. Since the guy had taken the initiative, everything became easier.
"Fuck you! Do you do this purposefully to spite me?" Zee Whang scolded Dao Su.
"Get a hold of your high horse, fatso," Dao Su talked back. "I have been Hai Di’s prisoner way longer than you. It has been a long time since I had the chance to conduct my own experiments. I want that freedom back!"
Dao Su turned to Amon then. "I get the same treatment as him, right? I want to research whatever I wish. What do you want in return?"
"We will think of something. For now, we must leave this place," Amon said.
"Can we take some of the equipment here?" Zee Whang asked. "Though we are prisoners, the equipment here is top-grade. It is way better than what I used to have in Aetheria. It will be a waste to leave them here."
Amon noticed neither Zee Whang nor Dao Su wore a space ring. As prisoners, they were not privileged to own it. He took two unlinked space rings he kept for reserve and threw each to Zee Whang and Dao Su.
"Quickly pack up. Take only the most necessary," Amon told them.
They were elated to receive the space rings. The two quickly linked with the rings and began tossing the equipment into them.
In less than two minutes, they returned before Amon. "Okay, let’s leave," Zee Whang said. He began walking toward the exit.
Amon stopped him. "Don’t be ridiculous. You don’t walk out of there like this. I’m sure your description is known by the authorities, in case you somehow flee this place."
"So what? You want me to wear disguises?" Zee Whang asked.
"I have a better option. I can put you inside my space ring," Amon answered. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"What nonsense are you spouting about?"
Dao Su slapped the back of Zee Whang’s head. "Remember how that fox lady and the Zuanze Butterfly appear and disappear without explanation?"
Zee Whang was more focused on Dao Su’s slap than his explanation. He lunged at the skinny man. "I will teach you for laying your hands on me!"
Dao Su didn’t back down. He had more arms. His two lower arms caught Zee Whang’s two hands that were coming for him. As for his two upper arms, they held down Zee Whang’s large body.
Amon could see these two weren’t used to direct conflicts. Despite their cultivation, they tussled like kids. Amon didn’t find this surprising. The two were more suited for lab work than combat. Even when Amon fought Zee Whang, he did it from inside his Supreme Puppet.
While it was amusing to see these two grown men tussling pitifully, Amon was short on time. He released his aura. Zee Whang and Dao Su were surprised to find that Amon’s aura had even more pressure than Li Zhong’s.
Amon grabbed the two on their shoulders. "Listen. The pocket dimension I’m going to put you into, you can opt to exit it whenever you wish. I can’t keep you inside. However, please know that if you come out at an inopportune moment. You might appear when this domain’s soldiers are all around us. If that happens, then you are fucked. I will leave you behind, and you will go back to being Hai Di’s captives. If you don’t want such a thing to occur, you stay put until I give you the signal. Is this clear?"
Amon’s aura still pressed on them, so they had difficulty replying. They responded by nodding.
Receiving that response, Amon transported them into the black space ring. He, however, didn’t let them roam free. He had already mentally built two enclosed compartments using the soil inside. In Zee Whang and Dai Su’s perspectives, they had been teleported into a room without doors or windows. Amon put them in separate rooms. He didn’t want the two to fight again.
Amon dared to show them his ring’s special ability because he believed not everyone could use the Black Space Ring. At first, he thought he could use the ring because he had infernal aether. He thought this ring was made so that only a demon practitioner could use it. What Yao Ai said half a year ago disproved this theory.
Yao Ai recognized the black space ring, and she was surprised that Amon could use it. Additionally, she didn’t confiscate the ring. This fact showed that she herself couldn’t use the black space ring. Even so, if he were Yao Ai, he would have confiscated the black space ring even if he couldn’t use it. He didn’t know why Yao Ai didn’t do so. In any case, his black space ring was no longer a tightly guarded secret. Hence, he didn’t mind letting Zee Whang and Dao Su learn about it.
Amon used his mental voice to remind the two again to stay within the space ring until he told them it was safe to come out. He didn’t give the two a window to look at the world outside, like he did with Lin Li, so they could only patiently wait for his signal.
He mentally watched the two to ensure they took his warning seriously. Only after seeing them settling down in the rooms did he walk out of Li Zhong’s house. He donned the hood and mask again. He added an extra precaution by using an invisible talisman. He suppressed his aura using the Concealed Ghost Body and left.
On the street outside the courtyard, he saw that a crowd had gathered. He did make a loud noise when he tried to break in after receiving Lin Li’s signal. He flew above the courtyard wall and saw a group of black-vested soldiers approaching. He didn’t know whether these soldiers came because of the commotion or because the alarm in Li Zhong’s house was connected to the authorities.
It didn’t matter. He was out before they arrived. He avoided those soldiers and flew in the direction away from them.
On his way out of the city, he heard Yuka calling for him from inside the black space ring.
"Hey! I have carried out your request. Give me one drop of the nectar from that Primordial Blue Lotus."
While Amon hid the contents of his black space ring from Zee Whang and Dao Su, he didn’t do the same for Yuka. He let her roam free, but restrained her when she tried to make a move on Lin Li, the Primordial Blue Lotus, or the other things inside there.
"No," Amon replied. "We agreed that you carry out my requests, which now is down to only one more. After that, I will give you your freedom. That’s all. The Primordial Blue Lotus is never part of our agreement."
"Tch! Why did you never tell me you have this plant?"
"Why would I? You are not my tamed beast. The lotus’ nectar is only reserved for my tamed beast. Or, are you now offering yourself to be my tamed beast?"
"Over my dead body! I will never submit to a human!"
Amon shrugged. "Then that’s that. Stay away from the lotus."
"Tch... How about this? After I carry out your last request, I’m willing to stay with you. You can ask me for more requests. Every request will be paid with one drop of nectar. What do you say?"
Amon grinned. Yuka couldn’t see his grin. Amon knew the Primordial Blue Lotus was extremely tempting to Yuka. This was because the Zuanze Butterfly was among the spirit beasts that could evolve. There was no way Yuka would let go of this chance once she discovered the means to reach a higher evolution state. Of course, he had to be careful to manage the timing. He couldn’t let Yuka evolve into a stronger being before he himself became stronger. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to control her. That’s why he gave her a buffer of one additional request before granting her freedom, which he planned to delay for as long as possible.
