Rise of the Crusader-Chapter 213 - 213 The Boy On The Mountain
213 The Boy On The Mountain
During the tournament, the director had listed four types of students in the academy.
The nominal students, the silver student, the core students, and lastly the gold student.
However, they existed one other type of student that the director failed to mention. It wasn’t that they forget, but it was simply because they found no need to mention it, as none of them possess the quality needed.
The fifth, as well as the last category of students, was the Diamond students.
They were the kings of kings, rulers of rulers, lords of lords, and conquerors of conquerors because a student who was considered a Diamond student was guaranteed to attain SS rank.
And not just the early stage of it, but the peak.
Currently, they existed two diamond students in the academy, Vernon Orleans being the first, and Raphael Queen the second.
“Are you sure, he is here?”
“He is... All students must come to the city, he isn’t an exception.”
.....
In one part of the city, a group who were donned in all-black robes stared at the map of the city with deadly intent, excluding out from their body.
The group was the infamous second-year assassin division student.
As the rules governing the second year were mandatory, the student from the assassin division was also sent to the city.
“We have just one quest, and once that is completed, the boss promised he would get us out of here.”
The voice that sounded commanded respect from the other student, and as they heard their colleague speak, the majority of them lowered their head.
It was as though Vermont was the one addressing them.
Orpheus stared at his brothers and sisters and nodded his head. “Go get ready, we move at midnight.”
Followed by Orpheus’s words, and the group disbanded very quickly.
However, it wasn’t all of them that had disappeared, they were five students in the surrounding, and as Orpheus saw the five that stood back, he moved towards them.
The five students consisted of two males and three males and seeing Orpheus approaching them, one of the male students spoke.
“Are you certain, you don’t need our help to take care of him?”
Orpheus slowly nodded his head, he stood in front of the death merchants and said, “I have a plan, this time around.”
Karmau the male that spoke earlier sneered upon Orpheus’s response.
“Didn’t you have one the last time, and still, you almost ended up dead.”
“It’s luck that you’re still on your feet, Orpheus. You’re no match for him, why don’t you accept it, and let us handle the mission.” Karmau said.
Orpheus remained calm, he glanced at the five in front of him and said, “If I Orpheus, the leader of the death merchants isn’t able to kill him, what makes you think, you can.”
It was as though Karmau had expected those words to come from Orpheus, and right after Orpheus spoke, he replied.
“It’s simple, we have grown past you.”
Karmau took a step forward, with only a few meters apart, he looked into Orpheus, “We both know it’s only a matter of time before you’re replaced by one of us.”
Orpheus glanced at the other four death merchants, and as they didn’t seem to oppose to any of what was said, he chuckled.
“If you assume I’m worried about my position being taken away from me, then you’re wrong. It would be an honor if one of you can step up, and defeat me.” Said Orpheus.
“The stronger the division is, the better it would be when the time comes,” Orpheus added.
In every academic year, they existed a group known as the death merchants in the assassin division.
The death merchants were usually six, and those six were the strongest among the students. Then, the six of them would battle, and whoever emerged as the winner would be crowned the leader of the death merchant.
Orpheus emerged the winner during the last battle, and he became the leader of the death merchants
Behind him were Karmau, Akuma, Mystique, Nyssa, and lastly Nikita.
“We will discuss when the next battle would be held once we return, now let’s focus on our mission.” Mystique said, staring at Karmau and Orpheus.
Though Karmau and Orpheus stood in front of each, and neither one of them had made a move on the other, they both excluded a battle
“Let’s see, if you would still act this way when we return to the lair,” Karmau said.
He took a few steps, and then returned back to his previous position.
Orpheus stared at the sky, “It’s almost time, they should be returning any time from now.”
It wasn’t even up to two seconds after Orpheus spoke, and a group of seven appeared in front of him. They were all donned in all black robes, and after those seven appeared, others began to show.
Orpheus chose to wait for a few minutes, and once everyone had arrived, his voice rang out.
“Brother and sisters, let’s not bath in the blood of each, but in the blood of our enemies… It’s to kill or to be killed, and we choose to kill and not be killed.”
With that said, and Orpheus slowly raised his hand. He turned into a fist and said, “By the powers bestowed upon ye, success is ours!!!!”
In the absence of the director, the student looked up to Orpheus greatly. He brimmed with courage and authority, and anyone who stood on the side with him would experience a feeling of accomplishment.
There was no overbearing aura around Orpheus, unlike the other death merchants, and only the air of leadership existed from Orpheus.
Orpheus nodded his head, upon the reaction he received from his colleagues. He moved his gaze to the death merchants, “We will meet on the battlefield, brothers.”
A nod came from Karmau, Nyssa, Akuma, Mystique, and Nikita.
Though the six of them were very competitive, they didn’t let it come between them, during missions.
They were unanimous, and as Orpheus and the others moved, the five death merchants wasted no time, and they vanished from the surrounding.
Meanwhile, laying on top of a mountain was a figure that appeared to be eighteen years of age. 𝑓𝔯𝑒e𝘸e𝘣𝓷𝘰ѵe𝚕.c૦𝙢
The youth was the most talked about student in the academy, the number one male figure, as well as the most prominent of them all.
Apart from this feat, he was also a diamond student, the only student to ever be taught by the seven divisions together, and lastly, he had received a few pointers from the dean.
… The archiles gold-haired youth was none other than Vernon Orleans.
