Kumar is confused.

The battle marks are very authentic. The attacks, the aftermath, the debris, and even the burn marks left behind on the far away trees. Everything seemed legit.

But once again the question boils down to how did they miss something like this if it is happening so close to the city. Also after some careful inspection, he realized that he couldn't figure out anything related to Sam's opponent.

After all, the other party should have been using some method, element or weapon. Something to fight with Sam. But there is not even a discernable footprint.

The elemental energy that was floating around there felt like it all belonged to Sam.

Kumar felt like this might just be something Sam left behind just to confuse them. And of course, once that thought came to mind, it is hard to let it go. Particularly when he thought of how Sam usually does things.

But also one thing that bugged him is that all of Sam's movements that were left behind seemed like they are indeed part of the battle. So, now it is either that Sam is battling some Phantom that didn't leave anything behind.

Or it is just Sam trying to mislead them?

With those thoughts in mind, Kumar went back to the city. He tightened the defense. It is to the point, he took money out of his own pocket to hire the mercs and even contacted the underground people within the city.

He paid them to work for him for the next few days.

Sam decided to just sit back and think of ways to play around with Kumar and as a part of it, he started creating fake battlefields around the city. And every spot in the forest is similar to a spot where Sam usually hides.

"It seems like he is being tailed by someone. Why is he not escaping though?"

Baryn asked as he looked at the battlefield. The marks left behind indicated that Sam is moving away from that place while battling someone.

"No. He will not go. He needs to get that kid no matter what. As for battling with someone. For some reason I am having a hard time believing that." Kumar said and he thought for a moment before passing an order.

"Tell everyone to comb the surroundings. The battle marks here are very fresh. The battle didn't even happen that long ago and since he is moving around anyway, stretch the whole man power a bit thin and let them comb the forest a bit.

They don't really need to attack him or confront him. Tell them to find out if anything is here. Even if there is a small pebble in the immediate surroundings within three metre radius around the city. I want to know."

Kumar became a bit paranoid and wanted to resolve his suspicions immediately.

Meanwhile, back in his temporary but cozy home, Sam is chilling a bit as he looked at the clan grounds directly through the window.

He really picked the right target as this place happened to be one of the few where there is no search is going on right now.

He observed the clan grounds with his eye technique.

The game turned out a bit exciting to him. It is like a game of chess. Right now Kumar and him are fighting with their minds even though they haven't come face to face.

Both of them know that the other party is trying to make them lose and they are trying to push back so the other party wouldn't be able to do what they want to do.

And he is getting first-hand information on how the people in the city that are looking for him are moving around. This makes things much more easier. Now Sam already got the info that everyone is moving out to comb the forest.

So, he decided to give a gift to Kumar.

He took out a formation disc and started injecting some energy into it while carving an inscription on it. He put all of his concentration as he directly carving an inscription on it. After more than two hours, he is finally done and at the final step, his focus increased to the maximum as he injected some of his divine energy into it.

At this moment, Sam's divine energy is not even one-tenth of a Divine Plane cultivator that was in the very beginning of the Divine Plane.

And even in that small amount, he used a very tiny portion as it takes a bit of time to recover back.

After creating that formation disc, he didn't wait anymore and just let it be taken away by one of his puppets. The formation disc was gently placed outside of the clan grounds. Outside the wall where there is a slight gap since most of the manpower is gone.

The formation was activated and the show has began.

The energy started gathering around the formation disc as it created sphere of fire elemental energy from it.

If one looked at it, one will just think someone has created a formation disc that is used to convert normal spiritual energy into fire elemental energy.

But in reality, this could do so much more than that.

As the formation outside is working, the energy within the clan grounds started changing a little bit. All of a sudden, in the northeast corner of the clan grounds a small orange ball of fire elemental energy started gathering together just like it did with the disc.

But this one is almost thrice as large as the sphere outside.

One of the patrolling guards noticed this and immediately ran over to inform their superiors.

When the immediate superior came and saw this, he was also shocked.

The energy gathered there is not doing anything in particular, but it is getting bigger and bigger with every passing second.

The news soon reached the head of the clan.

Since Kumar and Baryn who are handling the tasks are now away from that place and are inside the forest, the clan head is the only person who should be reported about this.

When the clan head heard about this, he felt a bit suspicious. After all, he just learned about how Kumar wanted to search the forest and took the personnel away from the clan grounds and now some weird phenomenon is happening.

"Go and call the first elder to me."

The guard left and returned with the first elder.

"What do you need brother?"

The first elder is also an old man and he looked very similar to the clan head. They are brothers.

"Something is happening in the clan grounds. I cannot trust anyone else on this. So, I want you to go and figure out what is happening."

The first elder nodded and left the room.

He didn't ask for any details. He just blindly followed whatever his brother asked him to do.

Soon, he arrived at the large orange globe of fire elements and was stunned for a moment. As soon as he started moving towards this sphere, he sensed its presence. He guessed what it would like visually, but he was still shocked when he actually saw it.

At that moment, the large orange-colored fire elemental globe has a radius of over 8 feet. It is huge to say the least. Now it is standing tall at almost 16 feet and that is not counting the gap between it and the ground as it is floating in the air.

He immediately scanned the globe and then the surroundings to see if he could understand how it is happening. His mind went to look for people who he thought might be trying to hide. He took out his sword and got ready to fight.

He raised his aura to the maximum. At that exact moment, he sensed something else from the globe and his eyes widened in horror.

He took out a communication token and called his brother.

"You need to be here. You need to eliminate this."

"What happened?"

"Just come."

He put off the token and started probing the globe with his own spiritual energy.

"Evacuate everyone from the surroundings. If this thing explodes anyone with a certain radius cannot survive."

The guards ran away while the clan head started making his way there. He could immediately sense the threat the globe possessed from far away. He frowned thinking how such a thing even happened in the middle of his clan grounds.

And he also understood why his brother is so scared. The globe is emitting Divine energy and it is moving around in a chaotic fashion.

He sped up and was about to reach the location in just half a second. But at that moment.

*BOOM*

The explosion happened. The Divine energy and spiritual energy ran rampant.

The first elder used all of his strength and stabbed the sword into the ground. It created a shield of energy as it tried to enclose the explosion.

But he is overpowered immediately. The clan head tried to hold the explosion and created an energy barrier with his divine energy.
