Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse-Chapter 340: The Handsome Alien
"Let’s see what is different about these aliens compared to what we have faced before." Lu Zhen muttered softly for fear of startling the alien and causing it to run.
He wanted to capture it alive if possible, but he was also afraid that it was a trap set by the aliens and this one was just bait.
So, they had to be careful. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
They had dealt with aliens before and knew that while humans could be cunning and play tricks, aliens were more cunning and cruel. They didn’t care what they did as long as they achieved their goal.
That was also the reason they had no scruples causing the apocalypse and wiping out all the human population on earth just so that they could take over the planet and make it theirs.
For this reason, the two could not lower their guard just because they had only spotted one alien.
They moved more cautiously and silently the closer they got to the spot indicated on the watch.
When they were about eighty meters from the place the alien was indicated to be, the two hid on the side of a building that looked like an office building with more than ten floors still above the snow.
They didn’t want to be easy to spot, so they took off the clothes they were wearing and put on white costumes that covered them from head to toe.
They also covered their faces with white masks and made sure that they blended completely with the snow in their environment.
Once they were completely camouflaged, they resumed their approach and walked carefully towards the alien.
The good thing about sneaking up on the enemy in such an environment was that the snow completely covered up the sound of their steps.
When they were fifty meters away, they lay down on their stomachs and moved slowly on their bellies.
They were careful not to make a sound or expose their movement.
Ten meters from their target, they finally noticed the white lump on the snow. It was the size of a large boulder and was almost as still as the snow around it.
If the thing hadn’t, for some reason shifted slightly, they would have thought that it was some kind of chimney of a house peaking out from the snow.
This brought their progress to a complete stop and the two began their observation.
They had trained as soldiers in their previous lives and even though in this life they hadn’t undergone any training, they had the memories of their previous lives.
They remembered every form of training and when and how to use it.
At this moment, they were staking out and if they needed to lay still in the snow for the whole day, then they would.
The two parties stayed still with one watching the other unwaveringly while the other observed something in the distance blissfully unaware of the companions nearby.
After two hours of staying still, the alien finally moved. It stretched and soon turned into a handsome man wearing heavy clothes as if to protect himself from the cold.
However, both Leng Pan and Lu Zhen knew that aliens didn’t need such heavy clothes even in the extreme cold.
They could survive in the most extreme climates without a problem, which was why they stimulated the changes in weather to fit their living requirements while oppressing humans and killing them.
Just as the now handsome man was about to turn and leave, he stiffened as if he had discovered something.
Lu Zhen and Leng Pan knew that they were exposed and acted before they could even think.
A wall of fire shot up around the man while another wall of mist surrounded the inside of the wall of fire, complete with a roof to prevent the alien from flying upwards.
Leng Pan wasn’t sure whether the purification of the spiritual spring water had any effect on aliens as it had in zombies but she assumed that with the amount of evil they committed, they needed cleansing anyway.
So, she also added a layer of ice mixed with spiritual spring water under the feet of the alien, just in case it decided to barrow into the ground and escape.
"I underestimated you humans." The alien suddenly spoke in human language.
Anyone would mistake it for a real human with how smooth it spoke.
"You did not underestimate us, you were simply too overconfident in yourself." Leng Pan said thoughtfully as she observed the alien trapped in the water and fire cage they had made.
The alien observed Leng Pan and Lu Zhen for a while before it spoke again.
"You two should be the ones the leaders warned us to beware of.
They weren’t sure you existed in this earth and have been sending agents in different parts of the world to check. Never expected you to be right under their noses." The alien remarked with interest showing on its handsome face.
Leng Pan had a feeling that this alien didn’t seem to care that it was trapped.
It was as if the cage she and Lu Zhen made was no threat to it at all.
This was unsettling for her because it meant that the aliens still had a way to escape.
She thought about simply putting it in her space bangle for interrogation but Lu Zhen seemed to read her thoughts.
He grabbed her hand and shook his head at her.
He was telling her to be careful of exposing her trump card just in case the alien had a way of leaving the space without her permission.
Thinking of this, Leng Pan quickly pushed the idea of putting the alien in her space and instead asked, "Why can’t you guys just go to some uninhabited planet and live there? Why do you have to destroy our homes and kill our people?"
The alien looked at Leng Pan’s beautiful face and smiled. It was a smile that would stop a beating heart, if one didn’t know the man standing there was un ugly alien in its original state.
