The pain led the man to scream at the top of his lungs. Blood was gushing out of the shoulder where the arm had been torn off.

The strong smell of blood and his screaming attracted even more zombies, and he was soon surrounded, and everyone watched as they tore his body into pieces and shoved them into their mouths.

One would vomit their intestines out just watching such a disgusting scene. A person who was alive just moments ago was now left with bones that had been gnawed on.

What was more terrifying was that he had been alive as the zombies feasted on his body parts and he had to watch until one zombie dug out his heart and bit into it while it was still warm and beating.

His intestines and other internal organs followed suit and that sight would make anyone with a weak heart collapse.

Lu Tao had to hold himself back with every ounce of willpower he could master so as not to collapse or vomit the breakfast he had just had right there in the truck.

This was the most disgusting thing he had ever seen in his life. Watching the life of a man who had been breathing and fighting energetically a second ago being extinguished just like that was heartbreaking.

"That is what happens when you get distracted during a fight. Even a short slip of your mind will cost you your life. So, take this as a lesson and be careful when you fight later." Lu Zhen broke the eerie silence in the car as he advised his younger brother.

"I understand." Lu Tao replied with a trembling voice.

This time he knew that his brother and sister-in-law weren’t trying to be alarmists. Fighting zombies was really a serious affair. One could lose their lives in the blink of an eye.

He didn’t dare to think of anything other than killing zombies when he joined the battle later.

The truck, even though driving at a fast speed, got chased by zombies and some even managed to swipe their claws at the sides.

Luckily, Lu Zhen was a good driver and would drive in zigzags a few times to push such zombies away from their vehicle.

Lu Zhen and Leng Pan were already used to such sights as they usually zigzagged on the roads with their motorcycles to avoid zombies from catching them.

However, never let them corner you whether outside or inside a car. That is dangerous because you will have no place to escape.

So, when you fight zombies, even if the fight starts in an enclosed space, try to lead them into an open area where you have options to run and escape in case things get bad.

Also, if you are alone and unable to fight, find a place that has a strong smell to hide in and don’t make a sound.

Zombies don’t see, but their hearing and sense of smell are enhanced. They follow sound and smell, and they can especially smell blood and life force.

I don’t know how they do that, but that is their characteristic. So, be very careful when you are out here." Leng Pan advised her brother-in-law as she knew that he still didn’t understand how to react when zombies came too close to him.

Moreover, his superpower wasn’t an attack or defense one. So, it made his combat range small and limited.

"Okay, sister-in-law, I will do as you say. How does one get used to a situation like this? These zombies were once humans too, but now they are eating their fellow humans.

They may have even eaten their own kin just because they no longer have the mind to think. This virus is terrifying." Lu Tao commented.

He really couldn’t imagine a father eating his children. A mother eating her husband and children and so on. That was a terrible way to live.

"We can’t do anything about it. We have to learn to adapt and protect ourselves." Leng Pan said with a heavy heart as well.

The current situation in the world was a terrible thing to get used to.
