Chapter 45: REAL PAIN

After settling in with Silva, he decided to take Amelia for shopping thinking it would cheer her up a little bit but she kept spacing out, just constantly nodding her head in response to whatever he was saying.

"Aren’t you going to buy something at least, you have been pushing the cart in a daze since we got here." Silva said getting frustrated at her behaviour, why was she only bothered about Damon, despite his efforts she still got her mind on him.

"Amelia?!" Silva called out frustration laced in his tone, his hands flew to his hair as he brushed it back sighing in defeat, she lost all her memories but she still wanted to be by Damon’s side even though, but this time around he was going to change fate and she would be with him, it would just be a matter of time.

Amelia jerked hearing Silva call her name, she turned to him seeing him brushing his hair backward in frustration, guilt washed over her seeing him like that. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

She has been living in a daze for the past few daze and he thought that maybe taking her shopping would help her out but here she was still thinking about a man that saw her as nothing but a replacement, it was her problem and she didn’t want any one else to suffer for it.

Poor Silva probably did not want to see his childhood friend wallow in dispair.

"Silva, I think what we’ve got is enough let go back now." Amelia said showing Silva a weak smile, at least she should pretend to be happy for the person who wants her too.

It’s just that there was something about all these that she could not place her finger on, a missing piece.

"Just look at the basket, what did we get and yet you are saying it’s enough." Silva pointed at the cart In anger, Amelia looked at the basked to realize that there was nothing there.

"How about we just get some food then." Amelia forced a smile not waiting for a respond before pushing the cart forward.

Silva could not help but sigh as he strolled behind, he allowed her to take the cart so at least doing an activity would help her not to space out but what was he kidding she was gone.

Amelia picked up a well packaged rice from the counter prepared to put it in the cart when she heard a very annoying voice that irked her to the core.

"Sister!" A voice cried out like she had found a jewel that she had lost for ages, customers shopping in the mall turned their head towards that direction wondering who was causing nusciance and disrupting the peace of the mall.

Amelia rolled her eyes hearing Marcy’s voice and gripped tightly to the cart with the intention of walking away, she was not in the mood for the schemes Marcy wanted to play.

"Sister, ever since you left home we have been looking all over for you, how are you doing now? Mom misses you so much sister." Marcy said in one breath as she sobbed using her hands to cover her face earning pity from the customers in the mall, thinking that the other sister was heartless to have left the house leaving her family in distress.

Marcy cleaned her tears and looked at Amelia but her eyes met with a cold face that gave her chills.

Marcy felt her heart jump to her throat as she saw the death glare that Silva sent her, she had not seen him earlier.

Marcy was on an outing with her friend, and she had excused herself to the toilet when she spotted Amalia and thought that it would be a nice opportunity to humiliate Amalia.

Marcy thought that Amalia would not be able to survive on her own ever since she left the Johnson’s home but to her surprise, Amalia never returned home and now she bumps into her at a high leading shopping mall.

As if realizing something Marcy gasped in shock after trying so hard to tear her gaze away from Silva.

"Sister, are you shoplifting?" Marcy asked in a concerned tone as she stretched her hand out to Amelia as if trying to hold her hand.

Amelia drew herself back as she glared at Marcy, "Your family threw me out of the house, whether they regret it or not is none of my business, and if you may please, excuse me." Amelia said pushing Marcy lightly before going her way.

Seeing it as an opportunity, Marcy fell to the ground with a loud thud as another round of tears gathered the rims of her eyes, "Sister, all I’m saying is that you should come back home so you would not have to steal, I’m sure mom and as will take you back, they are your family too." Marcy said pitifully holding onto Amelia’s leg.

Amelia shook of Marcy’s hands immediately with irritation on her face as she finally snapped, "if you don’t leave me alone this minute I swear you would meet yourself dining in hell." Amelia yelled angrily, hissing before storming off to the counter.

Shoppers whispered in low voices already suspecting that Amelia had really shoplifted because from what the pitiful girl said, she was homeless and had been abandoned by her family so there was no way she could shop at the mall, it was way out of her class.

The murmurs increased when they saw a handsome silver haired man step out of the crowd heading towards the pitiful girl on the floor.

They all thought they would see the real life story of a handsome man taking care of a beauty in distress but that imagination shattered when he stepped directly on the girl’s arm.

"I would advise you not to pull this kind of trick again, who knows, next time you fall you might break an arm." Silva threatened with his blue eyes glinting dangerously as he leaned forward towards Marcy, applying pressure on her arm.

"Be very careful of who you make trouble with." Silva said finally stepping off, walking away calmly like nothing had happened at all as he headed towards the direction Amelia went, leaving Marcy in awe and real pain.
