Revenge Deal With The Devil-Chapter 145: PRACTICE GROUNDS
Asis nodded in correspondence to Adara suggestion after a while.
"Good." Adara giggled as she stood up and dragged him up.
"Come on now, stand up." She tugged onto his arms causing Asis to sigh as he stood up and ruffled her hair.
"Why are you accepting me like this, you don’t even know if I harbour bad intentions towards you?" Asis asked a question that has been bugging him for a while now, unlike the Adara he met with at the lake, this Adara was far more different and bright, why did she change so quickly, and aside from that no one easily accepts the thought of a new sibling, their first thought is that the so called sibling has come to steal their parents love from them.
"How can you harbour bad intentions, and also we were friends before we knew about us sharing the same blood, even though our friendship did not last long." Adara chuckled laughing at whatever she thought was funny.
Asis sighs seeing her bright smile, "Can I speak to Asis for a minute?" Damon voice was suddenly heard in room stunning the siblings, especially Asis.
Ever since he moved to this house, Damon was hardly ever at home so hum being home and coming to check up on him was a little strange.
"Okay..... See on the practice grounds later Asis." Adara waved then skipped out.
Damon shut the door with a loud bang and folded his arms staring at Asis, "What are the intentions you have towards my family?" Damon asked in a cold threatening voice.
"They are my family too." Asis said with the same vibes oozing out of him as he tried to keep his mind clear and void, Silva had warned him before hand that Damon had a way of penetrating through one’s mind so anytime he was near him, Asis should always keep an open mind and never think of anything that could give them away.
Damon squinted at Asis like he was trying to see through him, "Sit." He commanded with a sigh and Asis seeing that Damon looked dead serious reluctantly sat down, he did not like this father of his.
Damon went to the table that stayed opposite the bed and leaned on it with his hands at the edge, "I know you don’t like me that much, almost everyone don’t and I also don’t need you to like me, the important people in my life are your mother and sister, so if you try anything to hurt them, I will make you regret it." Damon sprang himself up and walked closer to Asis.
Asis felt his breathing become irregular as Damon moved closer to him step by step, his heart was beating rapidly but he never forgot the instruction ’Keep your mind open’, "You are my son alright, but you have stayed to long with the damn snake for me to accept you right away." Damon stared hard at Asis trying to see if he had any reaction when he cursed Silva but there was none.
Damon stood straight up once more and turned to leave, when he reached the door knob to open it, he turned back to glare at Asis, "Be warned." Damon said with hostility and left shutting the door behind him.
Immediately the door closed, Asis was finally able to breathe freely as he held his chest in relief, the relief on his face soon changed to that of anger when he realized that Damon had insulted Silva, what gave him the right to do that, he abandoned me but Silva picked me up and trained me and here you are acting all high and mighty. Asis thought rolling his eyes.
Damon walked back to his study deep in thoughts as he felt that there was something indeed fishy with Asis, the boy’s mind was clear and open, if it were someone else they would have been thinking of something at least any thoughts would have dropped in the person’s mind either positive or negative but throughout his conversation with Asis there was nothing at all.
"Dad, I hope you did not do anything to Asis?" Adara concerned voice called out, Damon raised his head to see his daughter pacing about in her training gear with a worried look on her face, "Of course not my dear, he is my son too remember?" Damon chuckled rubbing her hair lovingly, "Stop that dad I’m not a kid any longer, I’m now 18!" Adara exclaimed trying to arrange her hair, "It’s good to see you back to the way you used to be." Damon released a soft smile, seeing the way Adara was now was heartwarming for him, compared to the past few years she seems happier now, and all because she found herself a brother that might not even be worthy of their trust.
"Have you seen your mother?" Damon asked with his heart going erratic, he had not seen Amelia since their argument, not because he did not want to but because he did not know how he would be able to face her disappointed gaze if she looks at him, he knew that it was his fault for not telling her but the boy was alive now, she should at least let that go.
"Yes, I saw her leaving Asis room before I entered." Adara explained while Damon groaned internally, why was everyone going crazy cray about a kid that can’t be trusted.
"Okay Dad I got to go now, I have a practice match." Adara said jogging off, in truth she had seen Asis coming out of his room all prepped up and since it seems that Damon was in a sour mood she did not mention that to him.
"Be careful!" Damon yelled after her but in the end decided to follow her to watch the match.
He stood at the window overlooking the practice grounds, watching Asis and Adara match silently.
"Okay so how do we go about it?" Asis asked wondering what this was all about, the practice he had were mostly in battle fields that Silva had thrown him into leaving him to fend for himself.
"Just basic attack and defense battle, I attack you and you try and block me and you and attack me and I try to block you." Adara explained.
"Are you sure?" Asis asked not sure whether he would be able to hold back as he was used to fighting strategies, "I’m sure and don’t you dare hold back." Adara said taking an attacking stance.
Seeing she was serious, Asis nodded and drew a defensive stance, Adara launched her self in the air aiming her palm at Asis as she swiftly cast a spell causing fire to come out of her palms startling Asis but he was quick to jump out of the way.
"I really thought you wanted to hit me, I did not expect the fire." Asis chuckled feeling excitement run through his bones, "I told you not to go easy and you think I would? Now it’s your turn." Adara announced leaping backwards waiting for Asis strike.
"This is no fun, how about we engage in a full on battle." Asis said as the excitement had clouded him.
"Okay then, bring it on!" Adara said charging towards Asis with full force and the two of them collided their legs together causing a huge sound and a gust of wind to blow at the friction.
"Not bad." Asis complemented impressed that Adara’s strength was no less than his own.
"Not bad yourself." Adara smirked before withdrawing swiftly and threw a flying kick at him that nearly hit his face but Asis caught her by the ankle smirking but before he could make any other moves, Adara cast a spell that turned her into a fly making her escape his grip before she changed back once more.
"Nice!" Asis exclaimed with excitement in his heart as the two once more moved and collided each landing attacks swift and precise but was managed to be blocked by the other.
They moved so fast that only their after images could be seen and as for Damon, he felt like his heart was in his mouth watching his little girl battle like that with the boy.
He could not concentrate as he felt that Asis could use it as an opportunity to hurt Adara but he could not also stop the match because Adara seemed to be enjoying it too.
All his thoughts came to a halt when Damon heard a shriek coming from the practice grounds, without bothering to check he immediately teleported there to see his precious little girl laying on the ground with a slight wound on her left cheek.
Seeing her like that, Damon went to Asis and grabbed him by the collar, his anger was enough to produce smoke from his head as all his veins has popped out and his fangs were all out already, "What did you do to her?!!!" Damon growled as birds flew away at the sound of his voice.
