Revenge Begins: Reincarnated as a Hated Idol!-Chapter 34: Third Episode
Saturday night, Nick sat in front of the television, excitedly waiting for the third episode to play.
The episode began with Nataly sitting in class quietly, Emily not daring to match her gaze. ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐.๐๐จ๐
At this moment, a girl from their class walked behind Nataly and slapped the back of her head.
Nataly shot her a furious glare, and the girl apologized with an amused expression, clearly not meaning the apology; she even seemed entertained.
Then another girl came from the front and slapped the back of Natalyโs turned head; however, this girl was fat and physically strong, not one to be trifled with.
When Nataly glared at her, she stepped forward threateningly: "What? You have a problem?"
Nataly remembered the teacherโs unreasonable words and quietly lowered her head, having no one to turn to.
However, the fat girl slapped her again: "Iโm asking something. Donโt ignore me."
Tears welled up in Natalyโs eyes as she raised her head, only to find Shin standing behind the fat girl, a bit of annoyance in his eyes.
The fat girl was in his way, and he wanted to go to his seat.
The girl who had slapped Nataly first was already trying to tell her fat friend to get out of the way.
The fat girl, unable to understand her gestures, annoyed, yelled: "What is it? Just use your mouth to speak!"
At this moment, Shin took out his left hand from his pocket. Without even caring that the fat girl in front of him was a female, he shoved her aside, prompting her to collide with the table on her left and then fall down.
Without even sparing her a second glance, he went and took his seat.
Despite this commotion, no student in the class dared to make a sound.
The fat girl struggled to get up, only to be helped by her friend later. When she realized it was Shin who had thrown her, instead of getting angry, she acted pleased to have been touched by him.
Nataly, who saw all this, found her hope in Shin.
Maybe he could help her.
Maybe he could save her from all this bullying.
But little did she know, all the torment she suffered happened with his permission. He didnโt order it, but he did allow it.
The teacher entered the class, finished his lecture, and left.
Nataly, who had been waiting for the lecture to end, rose from her seat and walked up to Shin, bowing to ask for his help.
"Please help me!"
The whole class went silent, looking at her bold move.
Shin only spared her a calm glance before muttering indifferently: "It seems you donโt know about me."
He swept his gaze through the faces in the class before stopping at Emily.
"You. Explain to her the situation."
With that, he calmly left the classroom.
Emily approached Nataly and took her to the terrace of the school building.
"You must be wondering why the teacher didnโt help you, right?" Emily said knowingly.
Natalyโs eyes widened.
"Itโs because of Shin." Emily revealed with folded hands.
"What?" Nataly was stunned.
โAnd I asked him for help?โ She thought as a voice-over came on screen.
Emily explained, "No one knew what Shin did before coming here two years ago. But as soon as he appeared, he established a system just through his fists and brain. He approached the students whose parents were in powerful positions and first made them come under him. He offered them benefits they couldnโt refuse just to use their parentsโ powers."
She paused momentarily and continued in a heavy tone: "Kane, the one you slapped, is the son of a powerful prosecutor. Similarly, there are children of powerful businessmen, politicians, and whatnot backing Shin. In return, Shin provided them with a smooth school life and helped their powerful parents make connections."
She cast an intense gaze at Nataly and added, "There is also the concept of protection money. You would need to pay protection money if you want protection from harassment by other school students. The bullies from other schools wouldnโt dare to touch you if you had paid protection money to Shin. Thatโs just the influence he had around here."
She let out a long sigh. "All you can do is endure and hope that they get bored of you or a foolish person appears to become a target instead of you."
Nataly revealed despair on her face as she asked hopefully, "But what if I ask my parents or the police for help?"
Emily shook her head. "Donโt, if you donโt want to let your parents suffer because of you. They will lose their jobs in an instant if you go down that route. As for the police, the powerful parents had them in their pockets. They will just frame you for something."
"Do I really have no other choice but to endure?" she asked just for the sake of it.
Emily solemnly shook her head, giving Nataly her answer.
The scene switched to Shin, hiding behind a wall while looking at Leah getting bullied, his fists clenched into fists by his side.
A voice-over told his inner thoughts to the viewers.
"Forgive me, Leah. I wish I could just admit that you are my sister, but I cannot let you become a target because of me. This bullying would not allow any suspicions to arise that you might be related to me."
After Leah left, Shin went over to the ones who were bullying her.
"Why were you bullying that girl?"
"Sir Kite asked us to." One of the boys replied respectfully with shaking legs.
"Still, you should hit her lightly, not that hard."
"But we were trying our best to be as soft as possible, leader. Sir Kite already told us not to hit her hard."
Shin nodded silently and then ordered indifferently: "Alright, slap each other."
"What?"
"I said slap each other." His voice turned intimidating.
And the episode concluded with the boys slapping each other.
