Chapter 1375: Chapter 1360: Preparation

Song Yun received a call from Xu Ying shortly after returning to Danfu University.

On the other end, Xu Ying said that somehow Song Yun’s number had been blacklisted. Upon careful questioning, Song Yun learned that Rumeng had borrowed Xu Ying’s phone earlier.

Song Yun felt a bit frustrated. As his influence grew day by day, schemes and plots became more frequent. Rumeng’s chain of schemes had caused Song Yun to suffer a minor loss—something he hadn’t encountered in a long time.

"Rumeng..."

Song Yun muttered the name and thought to himself, "Since you dared to play tricks on me, I won’t hold back..."

A few minutes later, Shen Yan, located somewhere in SH, received a call from Song Yun.

"What? You want me to woo a girl?"

Shen Yan asked in surprise, "Song Yun, are you joking?"

"Among those I know, you most resemble a Gao Fushuai." Song Yun said, "Do me this favor, and I’ll treat you to drinks another day."

"No problem, which girl should I pursue? Do you want photos or a video?" Shen Yan chuckled mischievously.

"I want you to make her fall madly in love with you. The woman loves money, and you have plenty." Song Yun said with a smile.

"No way, you must reimburse me for however much I spend!" Shen Yan replied.

"Half the reimbursement, and that woman’s figure and face aren’t bad. If you manage to get her, it’ll be quite a catch! Shen Yan, you must make her fall for you. I want that woman to meet a bad end. Do you understand?" Song Yun asked.

"Got it!"

Feeling the chilling threat in Song Yun’s words, Shen Yan shivered and said, "Song Yun, does this woman owe you a lot of money?"

"Indeed, she owes me something." Song Yun grinned and hung up.

"Anyone who makes me suffer will meet a bad end."

Song Yun put down his phone and walked towards his dormitory.

This time, Song Yun felt he’s going head-to-head with Shi Wenxi. The guy doesn’t have much of a heart, and having been played by Rumeng, Shi Wenxi will likely see him as a mortal enemy—even if he knows he’s being set up.

However, Song Yun doesn’t really care about these things anymore. His goals have expanded far beyond these petty matters. Song Yun’s greatest objective in coming to SH is targeting the Wen Commerce Association. If he can take it down, his path north will connect SH, while the west is backed by Xuanwu, forming a solid blockade in Southern Shen Zhou. Then, when he marches north, the Northern King will be of no concern.

"I’m really damn smart!"

Strutting gleefully, Song Yun contemplated various matters, and the frustration from earlier quickly faded away.

Song Yun is the kind of person who easily moves on from a situation, but just as easily finds himself absorbed in one.

Just as Song Yun was about to return to his dorm to consider how to compete with the Wen Commerce Association, his phone rang.

It was Zhang Long calling.

"Brother Song Yun, how have you been lately!"

Zhang Long chuckled on the other end of the line.

"I’m doing well!"

Song Yun replied, "Why are you calling? Want to invite me to dinner?"

"Only if you’re willing to grace us with your presence. Haha, Brother Song Yun, my dad said he hopes you’ll join us for dinner tonight to discuss some matters that need addressing. What do you say?"

Zhang Long asked.

"No problem at all."

Song Yun agreed with a smile, "I’m someone easy to talk to; as long as you provide sufficient stakes, things are negotiable!"

"Exactly, that’s what I think too. It’s settled then. I’ve already arranged for a car to pick you up at Danfu University. Come over whenever you’re free; the car is waiting outside your school, easy to spot with military plates." Zhang Long said.

"Alright!"

Song Yun said and hung up, then checked the time. There was quite some time before dinner, and Song Yun didn’t feel like heading over too early, which might appear overly eager and hinder negotiations.

After the call, Song Yun didn’t bother returning to his dorm but found a quiet place, sat cross-legged, and made another phone call.

The phone rang for a long time before the person on the other side answered.

"Hey, what’s up, brother!"

It was Wuli speaking, though his voice was intentionally kept low, and he didn’t address Song Yun as Brother Yun.

"How’s the task going?" Song Yun asked while digging at his foot.

"I’ve obtained some materials, but they might not be enough to sway the entire conflict. I’m seeing if I can dig deeper. The information I have concerns peripheral figures, and I can hardly reach the core ones."

Wuli said quietly.

"It’s okay."

Song Yun said with a smile, "I’ve already gathered some materials on my end. What you find will only add to it, saving us more effort. If you can’t find anything more, it’s no big deal—we’ll just invest more labor. By the way, have you found anyone inside the organization for me?"

"Currently, just two individuals who clearly want to join us. Brother, you know, these things can’t be too explicitly said. I’ve played along well with them and subtly suggested it. That’s how they came forward!"

Wuli replied.

"Are they reliable?" Song Yun asked.

"Reliable! Brother, these things are usually very dependable because most of them are businessmen. And what are we? We’re in the mix! Sure, money can push the devil, but we’ve always been the devil. What do we have to fear? If they betray us, we can simply discuss martial world rules with their families. Given the Shura Alliance’s power, dealing with such matters is a piece of cake!"

Wuli chuckled.

"Do a good job."

Song Yun said, "We’re still short on manpower. I hope you can recruit some talented people; do you understand?"

"Got it, brother!" Wuli answered.

"Let’s leave it at that. Remember to stay hidden, and find me more people—I’m quite short on money these days. Bring in people with business prowess if possible!"

Song Yun instructed.

"Brother, are you planning on..."

"For organizations like the Wen Commerce Association, force is only secondary. Completely wiping them out isn’t feasible—not only would we not survive, but if they were eliminated, Shen Zhou’s financial order would plunge into chaos, harming ordinary folks. Therefore, the fight against Wen Commerce Association spans two battlefields: the primary one is business, while force is secondary."

Song Yun explained. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Understood, brother. I’ll have people gather funds for you as soon as possible!"

Wuli agreed.

"That’s settled, take care of yourself!"

With that, Song Yun hung up and dialed another number.
