Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy-Chapter 94: The 9 Admirals
Hao Ming kicked everyone out of his office. He took several deep breaths, trying to endure the agonizing pain in his rear. After taking out his phone and swapping the SIM card, he dialed a number.
As the Deputy Director of the police, he was extremely cautious about his phone conversations.
Soon, the call connected, and Wang Wei’s excited voice came through. "Director Hao, is it handled? Is he crippled?"
Hao Ming’s expression was grim. "No, not yet. The kid isn’t simple; he has a few tricks up his sleeve."
"What?" Hearing that Wu Tian was fine, Wang Wei’s voice exploded with rage. "Director Hao, don’t tell me you can’t handle him! If that’s the case, our deal is off."
"No, I have a way." Thinking of what had been done to him, Hao Ming couldn’t let the deal fall through. His gaze turned icy as he said, "Of course I have a way to deal with him. But I’ve been thinking, just crippling him would be letting him off too easy. He needs to die."
This was no longer just a feud between Wang Wei and Wu Tian. Now, Hao Ming had his own grudge to settle, a hatred as deep as one would have for a father’s killer.
"Kill him? But..." Wang Wei hesitated. He was a rich heir, and since becoming the Family Head, he had grown even more pampered. He had the guts to have Wu Tian crippled, but when it came to murder, Wang Wei was a coward.
"Don’t worry. Leave everything to me," Hao Ming said coldly. "I’ll take full responsibility. But about that one billion... could you add another hundred million?"
Someone had to reimburse his medical expenses, right?
"Fine," Wang Wei agreed. An extra hundred million was nothing the Wang Family couldn’t afford.
The call ended. In the Wang Family villa, Qiu Yanyan frowned deeply as she looked at her husband. "Do you have any idea what you’re doing?" she asked seriously.
"Of course I do," Wang Wei said nonchalantly.
"Fine. Do whatever you want. It has nothing to do with me," Qiu Yanyan said, her voice flat. She was utterly disappointed in him.
The Wang family fortune had been built by Wang Wei’s grandfather. Since then—under both his father’s and now his own leadership as Family Head—the family’s assets hadn’t grown. In fact, they were steadily declining. But since Wang Wei hadn’t earned the money himself, he felt no pain in spending it. His grandfather would never have been so extravagant, would he?

Back at Yang City’s First Police Department, Hao Ming carefully applied medicine to himself in his office before stepping out.
"Uncle, what should we do?" Hao Ma asked, approaching Hao Ming with a peculiar gait.
"Kill him!" Hao Ming whispered through gritted teeth. "Take him to the interrogation room. Now."
"Understood." Hao Ma nodded and went to carry out the order.
He harbored an indescribable Killing Intent toward Wu Tian. A violation like that... He had inflicted this on women in nightclubs before, and he never thought it would come back to him. What goes around, comes around. He, a grown man, had been forced to taste this bitterness himself. He had never imagined this day would come, and it was all Wu Tian’s fault. He wanted Wu Tian dead.
The interrogation room was a small chamber. Zhang San and Li Si led Wu Tian inside, where Hao Ming was already waiting.
"Why don’t you take a seat?" Wu Tian asked with a smile.
"You..." Hao Ming clenched his teeth, at a loss for words. Sit down? Wouldn’t it hurt? He could only reply coldly, "Turn off the surveillance cameras."
"Right away." Zhang San nodded, turned off the cameras, and then shut the door. Now, only the four of them were in the room.
"Cuff him," Hao Ming ordered. With the cameras off and Wu Tian in handcuffs, Hao Ming, an experienced cop, knew dozens of ways to get rid of him silently.
But this time, Zhang San and Li Si didn’t move.
"Zhang San, Li Si, what are you..." A terrible premonition washed over Hao Ming. He wanted to turn and leave the room.
"Cuff him," Wu Tian said calmly.
Zhang San and Li Si nodded. They weren’t Wu Tian’s subordinates, but something in his demeanor compelled them to obey. They walked over and handcuffed Hao Ming.
"You... you can’t do this!" Hao Ming cried out, but no sound could escape the interrogation room.
Wu Tian chuckled. "Zhang San, Li Si, do you know what he usually does to the suspects he brings in here?"
"We know," they replied, standing at attention in a standard military posture.
Wu Tian glimpsed a hint of their true identities but paid it no mind. He smiled. "Then give him a taste of his own medicine. I imagine you’ve put up with a lot from him."
Zhang San and Li Si nodded. They had indeed suffered under Hao Ming’s command. They disapproved of many things he did, but without concrete evidence against him, they had been forced to follow his orders and do things that went against their conscience. They had despised him for a long time.
Zhang San and Li Si walked over to a drawer and took out a notebook and a hammer.
Seeing this, Wu Tian asked, "What’s that for?"
Zhang San replied, "This is his usual technique. He calls it an ’indirect strike.’ The victim shows no external injuries, but their heart ruptures. The final autopsy report rules it death by heart failure, so the blame never falls on him."
Li Si nodded. "He’s murdered plenty of innocent people this way."
Wu Tian let out a dry laugh. "It’s because of people like him that the public has lost all faith in the authorities."
"He’s the rotten apple that spoils the barrel," Zhang San said with disgust.
Li Si approached Hao Ming, holding the notebook and hammer.
"No... don’t."
Hao Ming was terrified. His face turned ashen as he shook his head frantically. Li Si fiercely pressed the notebook to his chest, raised the hammer with his other hand, and prepared to swing it down.
"NO!" Hao Ming’s eyes bulged. A man who lusted for fame and fortune, he had climbed to a high position. The higher one climbs, the more one fears death.
Just as Li Si’s hammer was about to fall, he paused. Hao Ming had pissed himself in fear.

At that moment, Zhao Zhengyi, the Chief of Yang City’s First Police Department, was on edge. He had called in sick and was resting at home when he received an unexpected call from Xiao Tianzan, the governor of the Southern Province.
The Southern Province had nine major cities, which had earned Xiao Tianzan the title "Admiral of the Nine Gates." Zhao Zhengyi had only ever heard of him by reputation and was stunned to receive his call.
Wu Tian? Who is that?
Xiao Tianzan had only said a few words, mentioning he was on his way to Yang City himself. But he had also specifically instructed Zhao Zhengyi to release Wu Tian and treat him well until he arrived. Clearly, this Wu Tian was someone who could not be offended.
Why would he ask me to release someone? Could he have been arrested and brought to the station? A man valued by the Admiral of the Nine Gates can’t be some heinous criminal; otherwise, the governor wouldn’t have asked for his release. That must mean Wu Tian was framed. Could it be Hao Ming’s doing?
As befitting the Chief of the First Police Department, Zhao Zhengyi’s analytical skills were extraordinary. He quickly pieced together what had happened and realized he had to get to the station immediately.
But just as he was getting out of bed, his personal phone rang.
