Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy-Chapter 89: How Bad Guys Are Made
"Boss, what do you plan to do with these guys?" A fawning smile was plastered on Mad Dog’s face as he tried to please Wu Tian. He knew that if he wanted to take down Hatchet Four, he needed Wu Tian.
Seeing this, the people from the Qin Corporation felt their eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.
What was going on? A director of the Logistics Department? Had the world gone mad?
Qin Yuhan watched thoughtfully. She certainly didn’t want Wu Tian getting involved with people like these.
Wu Tian glanced at the respectful gazes from Mad Dog and his men and gave a slight shake of his head. His ambitions lay with the Starry Sea.
"I already told you. Don’t let them see tomorrow’s sun," Wu Tian said, his voice light and his tone mild, without a trace of Killing Intent.
But upon hearing his words, Number One, Number Two, and the others couldn’t help but shudder.
So cool! That was exactly the kind of man Mad Dog had always wanted to be.
"Alright, Boss! Since you’ve said so, I, Mad Dog, will see it done." Mad Dog wasn’t about to miss this chance to curry favor with Wu Tian. He immediately barked at his men, "Drag them away! Don’t pollute the Boss’s eyes."
"Yes, sir!"
Mad Dog’s men stepped forward and dragged Wang Wei, Number One, Number Two, and the others away.
"How could this happen?"
"I have no idea."
"This is all Wang Wei’s fault!"
"Exactly!"
Number One, Number Two, Number Three, and Number Four all grumbled about Wang Wei as they were being hauled off.
"Alright, I’m leaving this to you. I’ll contact you; you don’t need to contact me," Wu Tian said before turning to leave.
*Gently I am leaving, just as gently as I came; I gently wave my hand, saying goodbye to the western clouds.*
At that moment, Wu Tian seemed to embody this very sentiment.
Mad Dog nodded, his admiration for Wu Tian growing by the day. He turned to his men. "Drag them into the side alley."
Once in the alley, Mad Dog commanded again, "Remember, don’t let them see tomorrow’s sun."
His men nodded. Wu Tian’s words had a deeper meaning. It didn’t necessarily mean they had to die. Some punishments were worse than death.
As Mad Dog finished speaking, his men flashed ruthless smiles and set upon Number One and the others.
"No, please!"
"I was wrong!"
"Spare me!"
"I won’t do it again! Never again!"
But Mad Dog and his men showed no mercy, and the four men’s screams of agony began to echo through the alley.
Wang Wei watched, a cocktail of shock and fear churning inside him. He couldn’t understand. Wu Tian was dressed simply and didn’t appear to be rich or powerful. So why did Mad Dog and his men treat him like a god?
"Mad Dog, that kid’s gone. Can I go now?" Wang Wei asked darkly.
"You think you can go?" Mad Dog chuckled. "That’s right, you’re from the Wang Family, so we can’t be too harsh. But beating you until you can’t move your limbs is definitely on the table. Perhaps that also counts as not seeing tomorrow’s sun."
"What?" Wang Wei exclaimed in shock. "You dare?"
"Get him."
With another command from Mad Dog, his men, having already beaten Number One and Number Two senseless, now turned on Wang Wei. After a long and brutal beating, Wang Wei was left lying on the ground in a miserable state. His face was swollen like a pig’s head, and his body was covered in blood. If he weren’t still breathing, one might have mistaken him for dead. He was a truly wretched sight.
Mad Dog wiped the blood from his hands. He had been a good student, but after being assigned to a class full of delinquents, he was bullied relentlessly. Today, however, he was a completely different person. The very delinquents who had bullied him were now receiving their own punishments. He was making them understand that their brand of ’bad’ was mere child’s play and that they shouldn’t have thought so highly of themselves. The people they picked on weren’t weak—they just practiced restraint. Once pushed past their limits, however, they would unleash a ferocious beast.
And now, Mad Dog was that unleashed beast. The delinquents who had bullied him now received a minor beating every three days and a major one every five; he wouldn’t let them have a moment’s peace. He would often take his men to teach them a lesson, his justification ringing clear: "I just wanted to study in peace. Since you wouldn’t let me, fine, I stopped! I am what I am today because of you, so I’ll ’repay’ you for it! Men, get them!"
He, Mad Dog, had once truly just wanted to study in peace. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Now, looking down at the pitiful Wang Wei, Mad Dog sneered, "Wang Wei, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Wu Tian is not someone you can afford to offend. If there’s a next time, your Wang Family will be wiped from the face of the earth."
With that, Mad Dog gave a wave of his hand and led his men away.
"ARGH!"
"UGH..."
Number One, Number Two, Number Three, and Number Four were in so much pain they couldn’t even pass out, only able to groan pitifully.
They were consumed by regret. They had thought it was a simple job. Even though their target worked for the Qin Corporation, he was just an employee. They never imagined things would turn out like this. Even their own boss, Mad Dog, practically worshipped Wu Tian. Clearly, he was not someone they could afford to provoke. They hated Wang Wei with a burning passion.
As for Wang Wei, both his arms and legs were broken. The physical pain was secondary; what truly mattered was the humiliation. How could he, the respected Family Head of the Wang Family, lose to some common brat?
"No... No! This isn’t over! I want him dead!" Wang Wei’s eyes burned with venomous resentment, and he seemed to be on the verge of madness.
Eventually, Wang Wei was discovered and sent back to the Wang Family home to be cared for by Qiu Yanyan.
"What happened to you? What did you do wrong this time?" Qiu Yanyan asked frantically the moment she saw him.
"What I did wrong? No, I did nothing wrong!" Wang Wei roared. "A poor kid like that deserves to be trampled under the feet of the rich!"
Seeing Wang Wei’s ferocious expression, Qiu Yanyan knew her husband was filled with murderous intent.
"What on earth happened? Can’t this be resolved peacefully?" Qiu Yanyan, a kind-hearted person, asked.
"No, he must die." Wang Wei lay on the sofa, his limbs immobile, his eyes glinting with Killing Intent. A thought seemed to strike him. "This time... This time, I’ll use the law against him."
