Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy-Chapter 152 Who are you calling little one?
"Daddy, do you think I can beat that show-off who deserves to be struck by lightning?" the little girl suddenly looked at Wu Tian and asked with curiosity.
"Yes," Wu Tian nodded. Seeing the little girl’s terrifying Family-Ending Kick, he knew that defeating Huang Ming would be no problem at all.
"That’s great, that’s great!" The little girl was overjoyed. Puffing her chest out, she declared, "Then let me fight Huang Ming next time. We’ll see whose Shadowless Kick is more powerful, his or mine."
"If he gets hit by that kick of yours, he won’t be a man anymore," Wu Tian laughed.
"Isn’t that great? If he can’t be a man, he can be a woman. It’s no big deal. I don’t think he’ll mind. There’s nothing wrong with being a woman," the little girl giggled.
Wu Tian broke into a cold sweat. If Huang Ming were hit by that kick, he certainly wouldn’t be a man, nor would he be able to be a woman. In the little girl’s mind, people were only divided into men and women; she didn’t know there was an existence that fell somewhere in between.
Wu Tian chatted with her for a few more moments. Inspired by her kick, he spontaneously came up with thirteen moves, which he then described to her.
"I just came up with these on the spot. Let’s call them the Thirteen Moves of Extinction," Wu Tian said casually.
"What extinction? Daddy, don’t talk nonsense! This is the Shadowless Kick," the little girl shot back, getting agitated. "I’ve decided. It’s called the Thirteen Shadowless Moves."
Wu Tian simply nodded.
Women are unreasonable. Girls are also unreasonable. One should never try to reason with a female.
Thirteen Shadowless Moves it was, then. As for the name, Wu Tian didn’t think it mattered.
It’s like the Eighteen Palms of the Descending Dragon—can that Palm Technique really vanquish dragons? It’s the same logic as how a wife cake contains no wife.
Wu Tian and the little girl resumed their chat, talking about things that happened at kindergarten. As a parent, it’s important to talk with your children often to build a strong relationship. Otherwise, as children grow up, they gradually become distant from their parents.
Just then, a call came from Xiao Tianzan.
"Mr. Wu Tian, I have a favor to ask you," Xiao Tianzan said, his tone somewhat nervous.
"Go ahead," Wu Tian replied calmly. For a man like Xiao Tianzan, a provincial governor known as the Admiral of the Nine Gates, to be in a bind, the matter was certainly not simple.
"Huang Xuantian demanded seven billion from me. I told him I was willing to donate that amount, but directly to people in poverty-stricken regions, not to him. He got angry over that. I was left with no choice, so I proposed a deal: before the New Holy Land opens, we find someone to fight him. If our person wins, he has to drop the matter." Pausing, Xiao Tianzan’s voice filled with suspicion. "But why do the Seven Saints of Dragon Country insist on handling the seven billion before it goes to the impoverished areas, instead of letting me donate it directly? I can’t help but feel there’s something fishy going on."
But against the Seven Saints of Dragon Country, Xiao Tianzan was powerless. Even as a provincial governor, he had no authority over them. In Dragon Country, the Seven Saints were what the Black Ice Platform was to the Great Qin, or what the imperial secret police was to the Ming Dynasty.
"So, do you want me to defeat Huang Xuantian, or to investigate the Seven Saints of Dragon Country?" Wu Tian asked, holding his phone with a composed expression.
Most people who knew of the Seven Saints of Dragon Country spoke of them with either awe or gravity. The rest were ordinary citizens, completely unaware of their existence. But in Wu Tian’s eyes, they were nothing special.
"No, leave the investigation to me. Besides, it’s not a task that can be completed in a day," Xiao Tianzan said solemnly from the other end. "I can only trouble you with defeating Huang Xuantian, Mr. Wu Tian."
Wu Tian grunted his assent.
Xiao Tianzan was delighted.
「That night.」
The little girl was to sleep with Wu Tian, but he instead took her through the Teleportation Formation to the New Holy Land.
Inside the New Holy Land, the little girl hopped around excitedly, finding the experience wonderfully strange. She absolutely loved strange things.
Seeing her like this, Wu Tian knew that while an ordinary person would scream in surprise upon encountering a ghost, if his daughter ever met one, it would be the ghost screaming in terror.
It’s time to help the little one with her cultivation. I need to give her more trump cards and make her invincible among her peers. This is a must. After all, I myself rose from humble beginnings in the Immortal Emperor Realm to finally achieve invincibility among my peers. As my daughter, she naturally has to do the same.
Wu Tian looked into the little girl’s clever, adorable eyes and nodded, then pointed a finger. Instantly, the fire-aspected Spiritual Energy in the air gathered at his fingertip, coalescing as if it were a fiery beast.
Wu Tian pointed again, this time touching the little girl’s forehead. In her large eyes, a pattern of flames flared for a moment before vanishing.
Wu Tian nodded. "This is the power of fire, little one. Your eyes can now emit flames, but remember, you must not use this power recklessly."
The little girl just giggled, not sensing any danger in having eyes that could shoot fire. She simply thought it was fun.
Wu Tian took her back home, then returned to the New Holy Land through the Teleportation Formation. He began to cultivate. A night passed. His Realm remained at the Immortal Emperor Realm, but his Spiritual Power was restored to the peak of the mid-Foundation Establishment Realm.
「The next morning.」
I wonder how long I’ll have to cultivate in this modern city to regain my former strength. Are there other secrets hidden here?
As Wu Tian smiled at the thought, his Spiritual Sense picked up a disturbance outside the New Holy Land.
Today was the day Xiao Tianzan and Huang Xuantian had agreed upon. Many people who had heard the news had gathered to see how the battle would unfold. These weren’t ordinary citizens, of course. The average person still doubted whether martial skills even existed. The crowd consisted of either the wealthy, soldiers, or people from Jianghu sects. The Wudang Sect, for instance, had already arrived, and its disciples were scanning the area, apparently looking for the little girl.
Wu Tian smiled and teleported back home. After having breakfast with the little girl, he brought her back to the New Holy Land. Because of the Teleportation Formation, the people outside had no idea about the connection between Wu Tian, the little girl, and the New Holy Land. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"Daddy, I want to go out," the little girl said. "I can hear a lot of people outside the forest. Can I go out, please?"
"Alright." After a moment’s thought, Wu Tian nodded. Moving with imperceptible speed, he escorted her out. She reappeared amidst the crowd, her sudden arrival unseen and unquestioned by anyone.
Wu Tian returned to the Sacred Land to make use of the time and continue his cultivation.
Zhang Jifeng and the other Wudang Sect disciples finally spotted the little girl in the crowd. Overjoyed, they started to head toward her.
But another group got there first. It was led by Huang Xuantian, who was flanked by Huang Ming and other Huang Family members, including a girl about the same age as her.
"Hey, you little pipsqueak! Who are you? What are you doing here?" the Huang Family girl yelled at her.
The little girl was not pleased. She walked over to the Huang Family girl and held a hand flat above her own head, then moved it over to compare their heights.
She giggled.
Why?
Because she was taller!
"Pipsqueak? Who are you calling a pipsqueak?" the little girl retorted, using the ’Return Unto Others’ move.
