Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Not Easy to Seduce

"Yes, she’s my daughter. She’s my treasure." Guli Weilieng still held onto a glimmer of hope. Could she be adopted?

If so, she wouldn’t mind at all; she liked children too. However, Wu Tian’s next words struck her like a bolt from the blue. Her body trembled, and she staggered back as if she had suffered a massive blow.

Wu Tian’s expression was impassive. It wasn’t that he was heartless, but after weathering the endless storms of the Immortal Emperor Realm, he had learned to view everything with detachment. Very few things could stir his heart.

"Mommy, Mommy, don’t be sad! Don’t you like Gugu?" The kind-hearted little girl immediately opened her arms to Guli Weilieng and said, "Hugs."

"This..." Guli Weilieng hesitated.

"Waaah... Gugu knew it! I’m not cute! Mommy doesn’t like me anymore!" The little girl pouted, her adorable face filled with misery as if she was about to burst into tears.

"No, no, no, you’re very cute."

The little girl’s charm was unique. She was young but countless times more clever than other children her age. Who could possibly refuse such an adorable child? Guli Weilieng hesitantly reached out and pulled the little girl into her embrace.

Only then did the little girl giggle, her face showing the triumphant expression of a successful schemer. But the more she acted this way, the cuter she became.

"Mommy, don’t be sad anymore. You can eat with me," the little girl said, then turned her large eyes toward Wu Tian. "Papa, I know you bought snacks."

Wu Tian smiled. He had discovered that his daughter possessed a special talent: she was exceptionally good at finding things!

He had bought snacks and actually hidden them, but his daughter still found out. Wu Tian took out the snacks: fancy egg tarts. These were fancier than ordinary egg tarts. For example, they came in different shapes, and some were topped with various fruits. Wu Tian had bought the fruit-topped variety.

"Look, this is mango, this is apple, this is blueberry, this is pear..." As Wu Tian opened the box, the little girl pointed to each egg tart and named the fruit. Finally, she reached out with both hands and grabbed two of the mango tarts.

"Mommy, this one’s for you, and this one’s for me!"

With that, she took a huge bite out of one of the tarts, finishing nearly half of it in one go. Her face beamed with joy, her little cheeks puffed out. Before even swallowing, she held the other tart up to Guli Weilieng’s mouth and mumbled, her words muffled, "Mommy... eat..."

Seeing this, Guli Weilieng smiled and took a bite as well.

"Is it yummy?" the little girl asked.

"Delicious," Guli Weilieng nodded.

They were from the best snack shop in the neighborhood, baked fresh to order. Wu Tian had even supervised the process and offered some suggestions. The pastry chef himself couldn’t believe he had managed to create such delicious egg tarts. The tarts exuded a fragrance of milk, egg, and fruit. Instead of clashing, the three aromas blended together perfectly.

The pastry chef was so impressed he wanted to ask Wu Tian to be his master. But Wu Tian, anxious to get back to his daughter, declined, took the tarts, and left.

After finishing the egg tarts, Guli Weilieng knew it was time to leave. She placed the little girl back into Wu Tian’s arms and said, "Your daughter is very cute."

Wu Tian was about to speak, but the little girl beat him to it. "I’m your daughter too, Mommy."

Guli Weilieng sighed, gave the little girl a smile without saying anything more, and drove off in her Range Rover.

The little girl in Wu Tian’s arms suddenly looked very serious.

"What’s wrong, baby?" Wu Tian asked.

"She’s hard to win over," the little girl said with a serious expression.

"..."

After saying goodbye to Lin Mo, Wu Tian took the little girl home. Qin Yuhan and Murong Yezi were waiting anxiously, only relaxing when they saw that he was unharmed.

"Zhao Zhengyi has been arrested. I thought you wouldn’t be able to get out," Qin Yuhan said from the sofa.

Wu Tian laughed. "He was arrested after I was released."

Qin Yuhan nodded, then asked, "I heard that the deputy chief of the police station offended someone very powerful. Did you encounter any powerful people at the police station today?"

"No," Wu Tian said.

The people he had encountered at the police station were not as powerful as him.

"That’s a real shame," Qin Yuhan sighed. If only Wu Tian could have met the incredible person who took care of Zhao Zhengyi and Hao Ming.

Wu Tian just smiled and said nothing.

That night, the little girl slept with Wu Tian.

"Papa, tell me a story."

"Alright," Wu Tian nodded. The little one has probably heard stories like Snow White already. I need to tell her something different.

"A long, long time ago, a young man went to a very powerful Zen master and said, ’I’m always being bullied, and I feel like I can’t hold my head up high.’ The old Zen master simply smiled and took out a snake. The young man had an epiphany. ’Ah! You mean I should be like a snake, able to be both flexible and firm, right?’ The Zen master laughed and replied, ’No. I mean whoever bullies you, just put this in their bed...’"

"I don’t like it! I don’t like it!" The little girl shook her head vigorously. "I don’t want to hear a story like that!"

"It’s time for you to sleep," Wu Tian laughed.

"No!" the little girl refused flatly. "If you don’t tell me a good story, I’m not going to sleep! Then your cute baby will have dark circles tomorrow, and your cute baby won’t be cute anymore!"

"Are you threatening me?" Wu Tian joked.

"That’s right, I am threatening you! What are you gonna do about it?" the little girl huffed, full of the swagger of a little gang leader.

"A spanking," Wu Tian said simply.

The little girl’s face froze. She immediately rolled into a ball and dove under the covers.

"Can the Monkey King escape the Buddha’s palm?" Wu Tian laughed, beginning to search for her under the blankets while deliberately pretending he couldn’t find her.

The little girl just giggled and rolled around under the blankets.

"HEE HEE! You can’t find me! You can’t find me!"

「Wudang Mountain, late at night.」

On the back mountain, there was a cave set high on a cliff face. Inside the cave, a young man stood looking up at the moon in the night sky, letting out a deep sigh.

His face was handsome, almost feminine. He looked like one of those Korean pop idols; if he were to walk down the street, countless girls would likely scream, "Oppa!" But this was a person dressed in Taoist robes, holding a Peach Wood Sword in his hand.

He was yearning for someone.

"Yunsheng, what’s on your mind?" an old Taoist asked, walking up behind him.

"Master, I was thinking about my junior sister," replied Lu Yunsheng, a man his master considered to have talent on par with Zhang Sanfeng.

"Ah, so you’re thinking about Weilieng." Hearing this, the old Taoist laughed. "Yes, you’ve reached the age where feelings begin to blossom. You should go and find her. Don’t worry about anything. Her family background is good, but you are not lacking either—you are the future Sect Leader of Wudang. Besides, I’ve always believed your innate talent rivals that of our founder, Zhang Sanfeng. It is Weilieng who would be marrying up to you, not the other way around."
