Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 150: Annabelle Linton, You Only Care About Your Son
Aaron Wyatt looked at her with deep, accusing eyes. "Annabelle Linton, you only care about your son! Hmph!"
Annabelle Linton had a preference for sour food.
She picked up a piece of pickled fish and put it in her mouth. The flavor was perfect, causing her pretty eyes to narrow in delight. "My son’s last name is Linton, so of course I dote on him," she said, deliberately provocative. "Was I supposed to dote on you instead?
Did you think giving him an English name without my permission means he’s no longer a Linton?"
"Hmph!" Aaron Wyatt glared at Annabelle Linton indignantly. "You’re so heartless. For the last three years, I’ve been both a mother and a father to your son, waiting on him hand and foot. And now? You’ve got your son, so you’ve forgotten all about me! You’re so ungrateful!"
"Aren’t you a little old to be getting jealous? How childish."
"Annabelle Linton, I’m not talking to you anymore!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Oh." Annabelle Linton kept eating the food he’d cooked, a small smile playing on her lips. "Perfect. More for me, then. This whole spread is mine. You take your time being angry."
Aaron Wyatt watched Annabelle eat all by herself without even offering him a bite. He said haughtily, "Hmph. Seeing as you look so pitiful, I’ll eat with you if you say something nice. Otherwise, you can just eat all alone."
"Oh, that’s fine. I don’t mind eating alone."
"Annabelle Linton!"
"Alright, alright." Annabelle Linton set down her chopsticks and rested her chin on her hand, looking at him. "And you’ll eat properly if I do?"
Aaron Wyatt snorted. "That depends on your performance."
A sly glint flashed in Annabelle Linton’s eyes. She said lightly, "Something nice, something nice. There, I’ve said it. Now, let’s eat."
Aaron Wyatt: "..."
Seeing Aaron Wyatt’s speechless expression, Annabelle Linton burst out laughing. She mimicked the way he would stroke her hair, reaching out to pat his head. "Good boy. Now eat."
The warmth of her touch, the softness in her eyes.
She had a captivating charm, devoid of coyness, mixed with an innate nonchalance and cunning. Annabelle Linton practically radiated a lively, positive energy.
When Aaron Wyatt looked at Annabelle Linton again, she was eating with a detached air, not even making a sound as she chewed.
She was clearly as bright and cheerful as ever, yet for some reason, Aaron Wyatt sensed a new kind of toughness about her.
It was an alluring charm.
"When I’m at work, I leave Stuart at a nearby pet daycare, and I take him for a walk at night. Pets can’t fly on the plane, so I arranged for a transport service. He should be here in a day or two," Aaron Wyatt said, his voice softening.
"Mm."
Stuart was a pet dog Aaron Wyatt had given Annabelle Linton.
He was a pedigree husky.
Back then, Annabelle Linton was always melancholic because of Leona Grant. Aaron Wyatt, afraid she might become depressed, bought her a husky.
Huskies are said to be very soulful dogs.
And just like that, Stuart had been with Annabelle Linton and Aaron Wyatt for four whole years.
Aaron Wyatt was Stuart’s "dad," and Annabelle Linton was his "mom."
Aaron lowered his gaze, hesitating for a moment before speaking. "Annabelle... while you were in the shower, I answered a call for you..."
"Mm," Annabelle hummed, not paying it much mind.
"It was a man." Aaron Wyatt put down his chopsticks and looked at Annabelle Linton with a troubled expression. "His tone was very hostile. Was it... him?"
At his words, a sharp pain lanced through Annabelle’s heart. She snapped her head up and demanded, her voice tight, "What did he say to you?"
Seeing Annabelle’s agitated reaction, Aaron Wyatt assumed she still cared about Leona Grant.
