Chapter 163: Chapter 162: Lin Xi’s Identity?

"You should go change. Later, I’ll drop you off and then head home. I didn’t go to class today. I don’t know if my old man will call, but I doubt he will."

After all, she had always been the good girl in everyone’s eyes, and today was the first time she had ever skipped class. Her teacher must have thought she was sick. As for her old man, he probably wouldn’t even answer the teacher’s call. But that was fine; she was used to it.

Since Si Wen had seen her undressed before, Lin Xi didn’t bother hiding. She drew the curtains, made sure no one outside could see, and then started changing right in front of her.

Shirt, bra, pants...

"Your figure... no matter how many times I see it, it’s always so enviable. Why don’t I have one like it?" Si Wen dejectedly cupped her breasts, as if that could make them stick out a bit more.

"You could wear a padded bra."

"You think I haven’t tried? It still makes no difference."

She was already wearing the thickest bra she owned, but it was still barely noticeable. At the very least, compared to Lin Xi, she fell far short. She felt like an elementary school student who hadn’t even started developing.

One person’s joys and sorrows are not shared by another. Dejected, Si Wen left the room.

Xue Yang had already changed and was sitting on the sofa, scrolling through his phone. He had changed into the latest windbreaker from a popular fashion brand, a bestseller that always sold out within minutes of a new release.

This offered Si Wen a small measure of comfort. "I’m so jealous. You have a girlfriend with such a great body."

Xue Yang looked up and replied, "Thanks. I hope you find a boyfriend with a good body someday."

Si Wen grew even more dejected. "Why do I get the feeling that wasn’t a compliment?"

Xue Yang spread his hands. "If that’s how you want to take it, there’s nothing I can do."

Ten minutes later, the three of them were seated in the Rolls-Royce in their usual arrangement: Lin Xi in the middle, with Xue Yang and Si Wen flanking her.

The drive from Xue Yang’s apartment to the Lin Corporation Building took about half an hour. All things considered, it was quite close, so it felt like they arrived in no time.

After getting out of the car, Lin Xi looked at Xue Yang, unwilling to part.

Xue Yang nodded at her. "Go on."

Lin Xi waved at them and ran toward the Lin Corporation Building, entering smoothly.

Xue Yang stood by the car and looked up at the largest, most luxurious skyscraper in Yancheng. Even from a distance, he could feel an intimidating aura emanating from it.

This building is probably a place I’ll never be able to reach in my entire life.

Si Wen stood beside him with her arms crossed. "Aren’t you curious why Lin Xi can walk into the Lin Corporation so freely?"

"She said her dad works at the Lin Corporation."

"Don’t you want to know what his position is?"

Xue Yang frowned slightly. He felt there was a hidden meaning in her words, and this wasn’t the first time.

Just then, Si Wen spoke again. "I was just saying. Anyway, I should get home. Thanks for your hospitality today."

"You’re welcome. Feel free to come again."

Si Wen chuckled. "The way you say that makes you sound like a restaurant owner."

"Do I?"

"A little, but not really." After all, no restaurant owner was as handsome as Xue Yang, nor did they have his kind of presence.

"Can Lin Xi and I visit your studio sometime?"

"Of course. You’re welcome anytime."

"By the way, have you named your studio yet?"

"Not yet."

"You still haven’t decided?"

"No."

"Got it. Bye." Si Wen waved at him as the Rolls-Royce pulled up beside her at just the right moment. The bodyguard got out of the driver’s seat, gave Xue Yang a slight nod, and then hurried over to open the car door for Si Wen.

After Si Wen got in, he carefully closed the door, returned to the driver’s seat, and the car slowly pulled away, disappearing into the flow of traffic.

After standing there for a while, Xue Yang hailed a taxi and left.

It’s time to buy a car.

Lin Xi went straight to the top floor, arriving at the door of Lin Zhenhai’s office.

When the secretary saw her, she promptly stopped her work and stood to greet her. "Miss Lin Xi, are you here to see the Chairman?"

"Yes. Is my dad in?"

"The Chairman is in a meeting right now. I’ll go inform him."

Lin Xi stopped her. "No need, I’ll just wait for him here."

"Alright, Miss Lin Xi. Please have a seat."

"Thank you."

Lin Xi sat off to the side. The secretaries couldn’t focus on their work and kept stealing glances at her. She was so beautiful, like a real-life doll. If she were wearing a princess gown, she would be the spitting image of a Princess.

About an hour passed, and the sky outside began to darken.

Lin Xi let out a yawn, and just then, the office door swung open. A group of people walked out. Seeing Lin Xi, everyone paused for a moment before greeting her in unison.

"Hello, Young Miss."

Lin Xi stood up and greeted them in return. "Hello, uncles and aunts."

Once everyone had dispersed, she walked toward Lin Zhenhai’s office.

Lin Zhenhai was wearily pinching the bridge of his nose when the office door suddenly opened. He was about to lose his temper, but then he saw his daughter.

He stared blankly at the beautiful young woman before him. "Xiao Xi? You’re here? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?"

"Dad, I came to wait for you to get off work."

Lin Zhenhai thought he was dreaming and rubbed his eyes.

Lin Xi was already standing before him. She took his hand. "Dad, look closely. Is it really me?"

Only then was Lin Zhenhai sure it was really his daughter. After so many years, she was here again, waiting for him to finish work and go home with her. When she was a child, Lin Xi often came to the company to wait for him.

"Ah, it really is my daughter. What brings you here?"

Lin Xi didn’t try to hide it. "Xue Yang drove me over."

"Is he at the company now?"

"No, I told him to head back first."

"Why didn’t you invite him up for a bit?"

Lin Xi looked down slightly. "I still haven’t figured out how to tell him about my identity."

Lin Zhenhai frowned. "My daughter is the most beautiful and has such a noble status. Don’t tell me he would actually hold that against you?"

"Dad, Xue Yang isn’t like other people." He clearly had the opportunity to join the Lin Corporation but gave it up to strike out on his own. That alone was proof enough.

"This Xue Yang... he has a bright future ahead of him," Lin Zhenhai remarked with genuine admiration. He rarely praised anyone, but Xue Yang was an exception.

"Yes. So, Dad, would you be willing to help him out?"
