Helios Rune Abelavish knew that the situation was starting to get out of control.
The Crown Prince of the Abelavish empire hurriedly approached Edmund Gerwyn and Ethan Askary, then stood between the two of them. He held the two men’s chests, intending to keep them away. Edmund immediately jerked his hand away while Ethan just looked down and shocked in his place. Helios didn’t blame Ethan for his current reaction. Edmund snorted. "Your Highness, did you just tell my brother-in-law to keep in touch with that damn woman?"
Helios looked at Edmund with a sharp gaze. "Then, do you want Prince Ethan to just leave Lady Isabella? If you were in Prince Ethan’s position, could you leave the Duchess if you knew the Duchess was the one who made, I don’t know, your little sister suffer and get killed?"
Edmund tightened his jaw. "Your Highness, I don’t have a little sister!"
"I know! I just told you to put yourself in Prince Ethan’s shoes!" Helios exclaimed. "Let’s assume you have a little sister and the Duchess is the woman who got your little sister killed. Can you leave the Duchess when you find out about that?"
Edmund was silent. The man clenched his fists and looked away.
"You can’t answer, can you? That’s because you love the Duchess so much and you can’t possibly leave her! That’s what Prince Ethan is feeling right now." Helios sighed heavily and massaged the bridge of his nose. "Listen, I’m not telling you to just forget about the events of your previous life. I just ask you to accept the incident slowly, then forget about it. Because, events in the past will not happen again in the present. Hasn’t the Duchess proven it many times? She managed to change all the events that happened in the past so they didn’t happen in the present, right? And, you also saw for yourself how the Duchess behaved toward Lady Isabella, right? "Duke," said Helios, interrupting Edmund. "Did the Duchess ask you to stay away from Lady Isabella or make her suffer when she finds out about this matter?"

"I’m sure she definitely didn’t ask for that," said Helios again. "If you still act like this, you too Prince, I will not hesitate to report this to the Duchess."
After saying that, Helios left together with Jeremy. Edmund groaned and cursed under his breath while Ethan closed his eyes and looked down. His heart was beating very fast. Ethan didn’t know what he should do now. Should he avoid Isabella? Or... did he stay by Isabella’s side even though he knew Isabella had hurt Penelope in her previous life?

The afternoon picnic ended sooner than it should have.
Ethan came to the Abelavish empire along with Isabella and Helios. They used Helios’ teleportation magic. Helios said goodbye to Ethan and Isabella, while Ethan took Isabella to her room.
"Ethan, did something happen?" Isabella asked in a worried tone.
The question made Ethan flinch and blink. The man smiled faintly and shook his head. "Why do you ask like that?"
"You look pale, Ethan. And that happened when you returned to the garden after catching up with Duke Edmund and His Highness Helios. You don’t talk much either. I thought, maybe something happened between the three of you." Isabella smiled slightly and took a deep breath. "Are you sure you’re okay?"
"Yes, I am doing okay. You don’t need to worry about me."
When Isabella wanted to touch Ethan’s arm to caress it, Ethan immediately froze. The man subconsciously jerked Isabella’s hand away, making Isabella wide-eyed and shocked. In the next second, Ethan cursed under his breath and rubbed his face with both hands.
"I’m sorry, Isabel. I... I didn’t mean to. I was just... thinking about something."
"Err... that means you’re in trouble, right? What are you thinking right now, Ethan? You don’t need to lie to me. I want to help you. I—"
"I told you I’m fine!" Ethan snapped subconsciously. He looked at Isabella with a firm gaze. "You don’t have to interfere!"

Suddenly, Isabella felt very nauseous. The woman widened her eyes and got up from her lying position. She ran toward the bathroom and tried to vomit. "We’re sorry, Prince Ethan," said one of the guards. "But, you can’t see Lady Isabella."
"Why?" asked Ethan in a firm tone. Chris is still there. He was assigned by Edmund to accompany Ethan and look after him. Edmund was still very wary of Isabella. "I am her lover and I often come here to visit her. You guys know that too, right?"
"We know," nodded another guard. "It’s just... Lady Isabella can’t be seen by anyone at the moment, Prince. It was a direct order from His Highness Helios."
Just as Ethan wanted to say something, he heard footsteps approaching. Ethan and Chris turned their heads around and saw Helios and Jeremy approaching them. The guards immediately bowed in greeting to their Crown Prince and left after Jeremy told them to.
"Where is Isabel?" Ethan asked. "Why am I forbidden to meet her?"
"According to Amy, the maid who takes care of Lady Isabella in this palace, she saw you yell at Lady Isabella a few days ago. You also didn’t contact Lady Isabella and didn’t come to the palace for the past few days. So, why did you come here now?"
"I want to apologize to Isabel, Your Highness," Ethan answered. "I know I am guilty. I’ve been thinking about it for the past few days and I agree with you that the Isabella in this life is different from the Isabella who lived in the previous life. She must have thought that there would be no point in living anymore because she had lost everything. You just left her, making her believe you didn’t want the child she was carrying either. So, Lady Isabella decided to end her life in her own way."
