"That’s the whole story, Brother."

Penelope Askary has just told Ethan Askary about her life as Sienna in her old world. The same story she once told Edmund Gerwyn. Ethan felt sad and sorry when he heard the story. He did not expect that another soul of his little sister who was sent to another world by Goddess Elleia would have to experience such severe suffering. Ethan took a deep breath and laughed as tears dripped down his handsome face.

"I’m sorry, Penny," Ethan said with a chuckle. His face flushed. He felt embarrassed for crying in front of Penelope. "I’m your older brother but I’m showing my weakness like this to you. I even cried in front of you."

Penelope smiled and laid her head on Ethan’s lap. She closed her eyes, letting Ethan stroke her hair gently and lovingly.

"I don’t care about such trivial matters, Brother. For me, as long as you don’t distance yourself from me and hate me just because I’m not the real Penelope Askary, I’m very happy." The woman opened her eyes and looked at Ethan’s face. "Brother, do you feel disgusted with me?"

"What? Why do you ask me that?" Ethan kissed his little sister’s forehead. "I don’t feel disgusted with you, Darling. I might be surprised to learn this from the mouth of the real soul of Penelope Askary but that’s all. I really admire you because you were able to survive in your old world which was very harsh and scary."

Penelope smiled even more and took a deep breath. "I will try to be better in this world, Brother. I will solve all the problems around me, I will protect you all with the power given to me by Goddess Elleia. I will also make all of you happy as I promised to the real Penelope Askary."

"Promise me too that you won’t hurt yourself or brave any danger just to protect us." Ethan looked at Penelope with a firm gaze. "I don’t want to see you controlled by the darkness ever again. I don’t want you to have that black magic because you are controlled by the darkness in your heart ever again. I don’t want that evil Goddess to manipulate you and make you commit crimes in this empire to make others suffer."

Penelope got up from her lying position and looked down.

"Should I just keep quiet if I see Brother or Ed, as well as others in danger, Brother?" Penelope asked. "I couldn’t possibly do that. I will do anything to help all of you."

"Penny, for me and Duke Edmund, the safety of you and the twins is most important. We will definitely be fine. You may help or protect us and other people but from a safe place, from a distance."

"Penelope Askary," Ethan called, interrupting Penelope’s words. "Promise me."

Penelope took a deep breath and finally nodded. She could never win against Ethan Askary. The man would also definitely keep pressing her until she agreed to everything he said. Penelope smiled and let Ethan hug her body tightly.

"Thank you, my sweet little sister," Ethan whispered. "I will never lose you again. This time, even if I have to sacrifice my life, I will make sure you are safe and live happily ever after."

Penelope, who was standing near the window of her room and staring at the courtyard of her mansion, turned her head around when she heard the door to her room open.

The woman froze for a moment, then relaxed her body again. She smiled faintly at Edmund Gerwyn, who was walking toward her, and chuckled when the man immediately hugged her tightly.

"You are very skilled at making me panic and worry, Penelope Askary," whispered Edmund. He let go of his arms and cupped Penelope’s face. The Duke was grateful because there were no wounds on his wife’s beautiful face or on her body. "How are you? Are you okay?"

"Mm," Penelope muttered. The woman nodded. "I’m sorry for making you worry, Ed. I must have... caused you trouble, haven’t I?" Penelope stroked Edmund’s cheek. Her husband’s handsome face was injured. "I’ve hurt you like this."

"No, you didn’t do it," shook Edmund. "You are just being controlled by the darkness inside of you. If anyone is to blame then it is Sebastian De Louis. He is the mastermind behind all this chaos. I will report this to the Emperor. So, you don’t have to worry about anything."

Penelope smiled and nodded. She immediately hugged Edmund’s waist and leaned her face against his warm chest. Penelope closed her eyes when she heard Edmund’s heartbeat which was like a lullaby for her.

"Brother Ethan already knows that I am Sienna."

"What?" Edmund blinked. "How could that be?"

"He met... the soul of the real Penelope Askary," Penelope answered. "You know, the ghost you met in this room at that time."

Edmund laughed and kissed his wife’s forehead. "I also met myself from my first life."

Penelope’s mouth opened wide. "Another ghost?!"

"Yes," nodded Edmund with a chuckle. "The ghost of Edmund Gerwyn from our first life. He said quite a lot to me. And he said you and I were lovers in our first life."

"What?" Penelope froze. "That’s not possible. There was no such explanation in the original novel regarding this world. From the start, you were described as a cruel Duke who hated Penelope Askary and loved Isabella Lysander."

"I do not understand too. I can’t remember anything that happened in my first life. I just hope to meet him again so I can ask him many things." Edmund took a deep breath. "Then, if I’ve heard all the stories and I find what he did in the first life to be so unreasonable, I’ll kill him once again."

Penelope blinked and the woman laughed. Seeing Penelope laugh like this, Edmund felt happy and relieved.

"Can Ethan accept everything you tell him well?"

Penelope nodded. "I thought Brother Ethan would hate me. But, Brother Ethan actually thanked me because I was able to survive in my old world. He also promised that he would never let me get hurt because of anything and the reason is because Brother Ethan doesn’t want to lose me again."

"His words are getting cheesier every day," chuckled Edmund. "Isn’t that right, Honey?"

Penelope laughed and wrapped her arms around Edmund’s neck.

"So, Duke Edmund, how about we start making strategies to fight all of them? I also have to tell you something."

Edmund raised an eyebrow.

"Philleo Aaron gave me and the children poisoned food and drink using your name."

"Hey, why are we being told to come to the square?" a woman asked her friend.

"I don’t know either," answered her friend. The curly-haired woman shrugged her shoulders. "It seems like everyone here is getting the same orders from an unknown woman."

"An unknown woman?" asked the first woman. A woman with long hair and green hair. "You are right. I was also approached by a woman in a white robe who told me to come here."

Suddenly, the commotion in the square stopped as a woman in a white robe appeared and stood on the stage. She opened the hood of her white robe and smiled sweetly at everyone. Her face is very beautiful, making men mesmerized by her beauty. Then, the woman raised both hands.

"Attention everyone!" exclaimed the beautiful woman. "I’m here because of orders from Goddess Elleia!"

"Goddess Elleia?!" people shouted. They looked at each other and a commotion started to arise again. Many questioned the truth of the white-robed woman’s words. How could Goddess Elleia give orders to a mere human like that woman?

"Are you a Saintess?" asked a little boy. The child was around ten years old.

"No," shook the woman.

"So, how can you say you are sent by our Goddess?!" shouted an old man. "Except for the people in the temple, as well as the Saintess, it is impossible for Goddess Elleia to meet ordinary humans like you or like us!"

"Goddess Elleia met me in a dream," said the beautiful woman. "Goddess Elleia wants me to tell the truth that has been hidden for so long. The truth that will keep the De Louis empire safe from any threat of danger!"

Everyone fell silent again. They looked very tense, panicked, and anxious.

"Is this a prophecy?"

"No," shook the white-robed woman again. "This is a fact covered up by irresponsible humans! Goddess Elleia said that the child she loved was in this empire. She is a real Saintess! She has the power of Goddess Elleia and will bring prosperity and happiness to this empire!"

"Whoa!" Everyone shouted and clapped.

"Who is the Saintess?! Tell us! We will protect the Saintess so that no one can harm her!"

The white-robed woman smiled and snapped her fingers. Then, a pink light appeared on her body. The pink light then flew into the sky and began to show someone’s face. A beautiful woman with blue hair and golden eyes. A beautiful woman who is smiling and playing with her children. The twins have unique eyes. Each child has blue and gold eyes.

"What? Isn’t that woman—"

"Yes!" The white-robed woman nodded and raised both hands in the air again. It was as if she was worshiping her. "The Saintess that Goddess Elleia refers to, the child she loves most in this world, the Saintess who has all the power of Goddess Elleia to protect everyone in the De Louis empire, she is Duchess Penelope Askary!"
