REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO-Chapter 118: JUST A TINY DROP
Chapter 118: JUST A TINY DROP
The morning sun bathed the terrace in warm golden light as the three resumed their positions on the ground. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
Daliah’s eyes sparkled, ready for action. She couldn’t wait to start it already. Rowan sat in lotus position beside her, also excited but with a calm expression.
"Alright," Logan said, looking at both of them one after another. "Let’s pick up where we left off."
They both nodded silently.
Logan continued "You’ve already sensed the Qi and already started gathering it. Now resume with the same process—But remember as I have already told you guys. Don’t rush to control it. Just invite it. And it will come on its own."
The air grew still as the two siblings closed their eyes.
Minutes passed. Then more.
Their breaths were soft and controlled, their bodies motionless. Beads of sweat started to form again, especially on Daliah’s brow.
Then suddenly..
"...I think... I did it," Rowan muttered, barely audible.
Daliah’s eyes snapped open a second later. "Me too. It’s tiny, but—"
She paused, then looked down at her stomach with disbelief.
"It’s there! I can feel it—like a drop... just one drop though."
Rowan nodded in agreement. "Same here. It’s accumulated but so tiny."
They both looked at Logan waiting for his next words.
For a moment, they almost seemed a bit disappointed.
After all that effort—hours of breathing, focusing, and struggling... and this was all they managed?
Just a drop?
But Logan smiled—not mockingly, but with genuine pride.
"That drop," he said, "is an achievement you can’t even fathom."
They blinked at him in doubt.
"You don’t realize it now, but this is already a massive leap forward. For most people, it takes four to five months just to gather that single drop consistently."
He paused, letting the words sink in.
"And when that drop finally begins to settle, it will attract more and more as you continue with this process, before finally forming a dantian—the core of Qi inside your body. That’s the true beginning of cultivation."
Daliah’s eyes widened. "So... forming the dantian is the first real stage?"
Logan nodded. "Yes. What you’re doing now is Qi Gathering—it’s about pulling Qi in from every corner in your body and guiding it to your center. But when you have successfully formed a dantian... that’s the moment your body starts turning into a vessel for cultivation."
Rowan’s expression shifted from puzzled to thoughtful. "And after the dantian is formed?"
"Then," Logan said with a light smirk, "we begin true refinement. After you have formed a core, i will teach you a breathing technique. Cultivation has several breathing methods. Your progress rate depends on it. The better the breathing technique is, the faster your growth will be. With that you will first build meridians for the circulation of QI. And when that happens, your body will be ready as a vessel for cultivation. Upto forming the meridians is called QI refinement stage."
Logan paused for a moment before continuing again, "I won’t burden your head with too much information for now. Just know this. After the QI refinement stage, you will start growing stronger. This QI refinement phase is basically the preparatory phase. But it is a huge advancement.
The siblings glanced at each other, then smiled faintly.
They had taken their first step.
Even if it was small, it was real.
After a moment of quiet satisfaction, Logan stood up and stretched slightly. "That’s enough for now. You’ve done more than enough for one morning."
He paused for moment before speaking again.
"I’ll be leaving today," he said. "So once, when you form your dantians, let me know. I can teach you the breathing method then."
Daliah’s smile faded. "Can’t you stay for a few more days?"
Rowan looked up. "At least stay for lunch. You’ve helped us so much—we can’t let you go on an empty stomach. And your journey will be a long one anyway. So starting a little bit later won’t affect that much."
Logan chuckled softly. "Fine. I’ll leave after lunch."
They stood together, brushing dust off their clothes.
Logan turned to leave—planning to return to his room and freshen up before the meal.
But just as he stepped toward the terrace doors—
A calm voice echoed from the hallway.
"Leaving already?"
Both Rowan and Daliah turned toward the door.
Elias stood at the edge of the doorway, arms crossed casually, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
He walked in slowly, his sharp eyes scanning the scene—the slight flush on Daliah’s face, also the faint sweat on her and Rowan’s face.
"You’ve been busy," Elias said with a smile. But seeing his face, it was hard to guess what he was thinking.
Daliah blinked. "Brother... when did you—?"
"Long enough to see that something interesting is going on." He looked at Logan now. "You were teaching them how to strengthen body like you used to do, right?"
Though Elias saw them sitting in the ground when he arrived, he didn’t see much to understand what they were actually doing.
Logan met his gaze with due respect. "Yes, your highness. Both of them were excited and I couldn’t overlook their request."
Logan could tell that not much of his teaching was revealed. Or else Elias wouldn’t ask only this much.
"Excellent! I will try it as well. I want to see how well it does." He said.
Rowan stepped forward and said. "But you are already very strong. Do you need these tricks to boost your energy?"
What Rowan said was true. Rowan was a prodigy for sure, but his brother wasn’t a weakling either. He was already tier 4. But he didn’t have the same mind as Rowan. And that’s the ability which made Rowan a target. People feared his brain more than his strength.
Elias smiled and said, "Well I may be be strong, but not the strongest. There are always people better than me. So I have to prepare as much as I can."
This brother of Rowan’s wasn’t a bad person. He just wasn’t too trusting even when he was supposed to. And that’s why he wanted to get strong. He wanted to be lone wolf.
"Impressive your highness. Your words are eye opener for all." Logan didn’t like flattering anyone. He just decided to show some respect. And Elias’s words had value in meaning as well.
He smiled politely and continued. "Would you like to join us for lunch?"
Elias returned the smile with a slight tilt of his head. "Don’t mind if I do."
