Reincarnation Of The Legendary Sword Saint-Chapter 37: Shattered Divine
Once again, Valzaha resisted, raising his arm and unleashing destructive demonic beams in rapid succession.
The blasts tore through the air.
The faeries scattered, narrowly dodging each attack, their movements growing slower with every breath. Even so, Valzaha was no better—his body was badly injured, blackened wounds refusing to close.
His regeneration had slowed to a crawl.
Blood dripped from his side.
"...Tch."
Valzaha clenched his teeth.
I have to go all out.
I have to use everything. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
His vision blurred, strength bleeding away with every second.
I’m already weak... and bleeding.
Above him, one faerie descended, wings trembling but eyes burning with resolve.
"Then so be it," Ragnarok Reign declared, his voice steady despite his wounds.
"I won’t hold back anymore."
Instantly, Divine Mana surged around Fenrir.
His massive body began to glow gold, radiant light pouring from his fur as sacred energy wrapped around him completely. A golden moon-shaped symbol formed upon his body, shining brilliantly as the air itself trembled in awe.
Fenrir lifted his head and stared directly at Valzaha.
Valzaha narrowed his eyes.
"Well, I expected nothing less from a Divine Beast," Valzaha said coldly. "You truly are fascinating. But you will still lose."
Fenrir growled, divine light flaring.
"Maybe," Fenrir replied. "But this is my final stand—and my final attack. It won’t be easy for you."
The golden aura intensified.
Then Fenrir charged.
Valzaha’s expression tightened as he fired multiple destruction beams, each one ripping through the air. Fenrir dodged relentlessly—leaping sideways, twisting mid-run, his glowing form blurring with speed as he closed the distance between them.
Another blast surged forward.
Fenrir opened his jaws wide—
—and bit the beam.
The explosion vanished between his fangs.
Valzaha’s eyes widened in shock.
Before he could react, Fenrir vanished from sight and reappeared in front of him, moving at terrifying speed. Fenrir clamped down on Valzaha’s arm, ripping it clean off as he tore past and skidded to a halt.
Fenrir turned slowly.
Valzaha stood frozen, terror creeping into his expression as Fenrir chewed the severed arm and swallowed it whole.
"...Disgusting," Fenrir said calmly.
"How dare you!" Valzaha roared.
His eyes flared violet, demonic aura erupting outward as pressure crushed the air. From his severed shoulder, flesh twisted and surged—
—and a new arm regenerated instantly.
Fenrir’s eyes narrowed.
"Hm. Regenerated already?" he said. "Impressive."
Valzaha snarled, fury boiling over.
"You mock me again?" he thundered. "Know your place!"
Valzaha’s aura surged, growing larger and more oppressive. His teeth clenched, full of frustration, as he raised his hand.
"Now... prepare to die," Valzaha declared, lifting his palm. Absolute Gravity rippled outward, bending the air and pulling everything toward him.
Fenrir struggled, muscles straining, but he could barely move. The pressure intensified, pressing him to the ground. He tried to resist—but his massive frame sank helplessly.
"How... how is this possible?" Fenrir thought, panic rising. "The gravity... it’s too strong. I can’t even move in this form!"
Valzaha raised his other hand, summoning a demonic destruction beam. Dark spikes flickered along its edges as it shot toward Fenrir.
"I... can’t move..." Fenrir groaned, but the beam struck cleanly, slamming into his chest. His moon crest vanished instantly, along with all the Divine Mana coursing through his body. Weak and battered, he struggled to stand.
"I have to... I must keep fighting," Fenrir growled, voice strained.
"Don’t push yourself," Valzaha’s voice cut coldly through the air. "The harder you fight, the faster you’ll die. The ground will claim you."
Valzaha raised two fingers, releasing a thin, precise beam. It pierced Fenrir’s body, searing through bone and muscle. Fenrir roared in pain as five of his limbs were obliterated. One by one, he collapsed, crashing onto the ground.
"Ah... pathetic," Valzaha said with a cruel smile. "Truly pathetic for a divine creature."
Fenrir, blood pouring from wounds, struggled to rise. "Do you... think I’ll lose? I... I won’t fall to you!"
Valzaha’s lips curved into a smile. He pointed both fingers at Fenrir’s chest, releasing a final focused beam. It struck the divine core directly, shattering it. Fenrir collapsed fully, blood streaming from his eyes and mouth, his massive body trembling on the ground.
"What... how...?" Fenrir gasped weakly. "My divine core... shattered? How strong... is he?"
Blood poured from Fenrir’s eyes and mouth, sliding quickly across the ground. It seemed like there was nothing he could do.
Now... I tried my best... Fenrir thought, bracing himself.
"It’s time to end this," Valzaha said, stepping over him. He drew his sword, approaching Fenrir with cold precision.
Fenrir looked up and smiled faintly. "Master... I tried my best. I have no regrets. Even if I wasn’t truly serving you... even if we only spoke once... I see you as my master. I am willing to die for you."
He closed his eyes, ready to accept his fate.
Valzaha raised his sword. "Goodbye," he said.
As the blade hovered above Fenrir’s head, the ground beneath the castle began to tremble. Mana surged violently, shaking the castle walls and sending shockwaves through the surrounding area.
Valzaha paused, eyes narrowing. "What the hell...? Could it be that the one I’m about to face... the young one... possesses this much mana? Fascinating."
Fenrir, sensing the disturbance, stirred slightly. "Master... you’re finally awake," he murmured.
Rowan slowly opened his eyes, still lying on is bed assessing the chaos around him. The castle trembled, the stones lifting slightly from the ground as raw energy warped the surroundings.
