Reincarnated With An SSS-Rank Talent In An Apocalyptic World-Chapter 114: The Speech
Chapter 114: The Speech
Lined outside the gates were sixteen thousand soldiers, divided into two groups. To the left were fifteen thousand soldiers directly under Varic, who was supported by a field arcanist I knew little of. Meanwhile, on my side were a thousand soldiers, and I was supported by Field Arcanist Luthor and his disciples—Robert and Kylie.
While our soldiers had different leaders, they all gathered outside the gates with tens of thousands of civilians packed behind, waiting to hear my big speech.
The soldiers on the ground and on the walls all had their eyes on me. Everyone knew the stakes were high in this fight, and their survival rested on my shoulders.
Should I fail to live up to their outrageous expectations, it was game over for all of them—because this was practically all the soldiers the capital had left.
More than ever, they needed a Messiah.
I looked toward the crowd behind the soldiers and could see several cloaked figures among them. To the normal people who were focused on me, it could be just another civilian—but I knew who they were.
It was the royal family, the High Inquisitor, and Madam Mira. They were here as well.
"FOR CENTURIES, SOLINTHAR HAS SUFFERED TERRIBLE LOSSES, NOT BECAUSE WE ARE WEAK, BUT BECAUSE THE ENEMY CANNOT FACE US ALONE—SO THEY JOINED HANDS AND RELIED ON DIRTY TACTICS TO BEST US!"
"PROPAGANDA, LIES, DECEIT, AND EVEN SABOTAGE!" I paused and watched them digest my message.
Their faces twisted with pain as memories flashed through their eyes. Many clenched their shields tight, and others gripped their spears so hard, their palms turned white.
"BUT NOW, I’M HERE!"
SWOOSH!
My cloak ripped open as a pair of angelic black wings sprouted at breathtaking speed.
Flap!
With a flap of my wings, I ascended above the crowd, gaining a good view of those on the ground and on the wall.
"IN THE FACE OF ABSOLUTE POWER, ALL FORMS OF TRICKERY ARE USELESS!"
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
People began cheering at the top of their lungs even before I could finish my speech, but this was the defect I wanted.
I’m not going to tell them we will find a way.
I want them to know I am the only way!
I need them to understand that the victory they are about to achieve cannot be possible without me.
I am the way, the truth, and the future!
Raising my hand, everywhere went dead silent in an instant. This is it—the kind of control I want.
The absolute kind.
"TODAY, WE WILL PUSH THESE BARBARIANS OUT OF OUR VALLEY."
"TOMORROW, WE WILL TAKE BACK OUR FALLEN CITIES!"
Gasps erupted across the crowd as looks were exchanged, each wondering if they heard right.
"THE DAY AFTER THAT, WE WILL STAND AT THEIR DOORSTEPS WITH OUR ARMY AND TEAR DOWN THEIR WALLS!"
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
The cheers returned, but this time I didn’t stop them—I just kept speaking.
"THERE WILL BE NO NEGOTIATION, NO RECONCILIATION, AND NO MERCY!"
"THEY WILL UNDERSTAND THE PAIN OF BEING INVADED!"
"THEY WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO LOSE THEIR HOMES!"
"WE WILL KILL THEIR MEN, TAKE THEIR WOMEN, AND ENSLAVE THEIR CHILDREN!"
"THIS PAIN WE HAVE ENDURED—THEY WILL EXPERIENCE IT TENFOLD!"
"I SWEAR IT!"
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
The cheers got louder. Even old Varic was screaming like a child watching his first epic anime fight scene.
Unbuckling Rai’ki from my belt, I raised my weapon above my head and screamed my last words of encouragement.
"FOR SOLINTHAR!"
"FOR SOLINTHARRRR!!!!"
Soldiers and civilians roared at the top of their lungs in unison. Without hesitation, I turned around, and with a flap of my wings, I shot toward the northwest, ignoring everything behind me.
I could hear the ground trembling under the footsteps of over sixteen thousand soldiers, so I knew everyone had begun moving. With that in mind, I flew as fast as possible.
I wanted to be the first to meet the elf army and destabilize them in the most vicious way possible.
For this war, I had deliberately purchased the strongest fire spells I could find in the short time I had to prepare—because I knew that was their greatest weakness.
If they had a mage among them, it was most likely going to be someone who used earth or plant magic, so I needed to hold an advantage over them.
Luthor let me hold onto the grimoire for as long as needed, so I planned to use this war to accumulate enough fragment points to purchase more spells.
Only through conflict can I grow stronger—and to be honest, I don’t mind!

— North West Valley Entrance —
It took me a while to get here, maybe somewhere around 30 to 40 minutes, but I eventually arrived. Looking over my shoulders, I couldn’t see my soldiers—but that was expected.
Foot soldiers can never keep up with my flight speed for an extended amount of time. But of course, this was what I wanted. This would give me the space and time I needed to fight recklessly without bothering a lot of others.
Soon, the valley came into view—and with it came the breathtaking sight of thousands of elves neatly arranged like a wall, completely sealing off the valley.
From this height, I could see over their front lines. Behind them were soldiers resting. Clearly, they didn’t need to be on guard at all times, so they took turns—while one group stood guard, the other rested, and they rotated over time.
To my surprise, they were already setting up tents. Their elf riders were mounted on massive winged beasts that looked like giant hawks—but not just that.
There were bears, wolves—animals of various kinds. With a glance, I could tell their foot soldiers, which included archers, numbered somewhere around seven thousand, while the riders made up the remaining three thousand.
At this point, faces were snapping in my direction. They had spotted me—but they couldn’t make sense of what I was, which was understandable.
Humans don’t fly.
Humans don’t have wings.
They chatted amongst themselves and pointed at me. While a few rose to their feet and prepared for the unknown, most were more curious than fearful.
And that will be their undoing!
"By the binding pact of cinder and ash, I call upon the Fourfold Flame.
Ignis velkaran, suros myrr’dan, flamora quintess!
Let the skies tremble and the earth recoil.
Arise—Infernum Quadris!
Pillars of ruin, burn my will into the world!"
My eyes revealed a scorching orange light as I chanted, and my voice reverberated across the heavens with power!
Only now did the elves sense the magic in the air and begin rising to their feet—but it was too late!
