«At the end, the group was then taken out consequently.»

"Woah, props to Mert for bringing down an advanced job with him. So, then it's now 7 versus 13 dynamic huh."

Hearing Rina's report on the battle on the west side, I inwardly mapped out the current situation.

Meanwhile, on our end, Crusader and Templar Knight had made their retreat when they saw Renandal-senpai going down.

We were supposed to eliminate all-together, but the loss of Noel was significant. We decided to stay in our current place.

"T-they got Noel-chan......"

"I'm sorry. It's my fault I failed in stopping them."

Lacritta reproached herself for Noel's situation. She was a team with Noel everywhere, so Noel's situation must have hit her harder.

Celia also showed a vexed expression. She was the one surpassing Crusader, so she must be feeling she failed in her responsibility.

I would say it was neither of their fault. They'd done their best against a guild famed for its combat potential. We were still an up-and-coming guild, lacking in the experience, so if anything, it's impressive they'd achieved all this.

"Come on, everyone. It's not the end, and Noel is just eliminated."

"Zephyr onii-chan is right. Everyone can still meet her after the match! Noel onee-chan must be safe too! It shouldn't leave any injury."

"Mhm, we can just make up for it by working hard."

"Y-yes..."

"That is true. Right, I shall make sure the mistake doesn't repeat itself."

It certainly felt awful when your ally gets eliminated, just like the favourite characters in the game. It wasn't anything new for people to treat the characters, whom they'd spent so much time training and all, as family or love of their life. There were actually quite a lot if anything.

Even in the walkthrough or game's forum sites, there were often threads exclusive to express one's sorrow over character's elimination. ...Well, there were also few who would be dumbfounded witnessing those threads.

So, Lacritta's reaction was quite a familiar scene to me. Then again, a few shouts of cheers from girls was enough to spring them up to their feet. I let Lulu take over the situation. She was probably the surefire way to raise her spirit.

"I am sorry I couldn't stop Renandal-senpai, Zephyr."

"Hey now, you were magnificent enough, Rika. You managed to hold back the guildmaster of the former A-rank guild for so long, while lacking in levels and enough training in your new job, is commendable."

"If you say so, then maybe it's not bad. I will do better next time for sure."

Rika seemed to have felt the same responsibility, but this wasn't even the last thing she should be feeling for. She gave him a challenge you wouldn't expect from a first-year. The later was a senior in 3rd year, and a guildmaster to boot.

"You're amazing, Zephyr-san! You managed to bring down Renandal-senpai and defeated him too!"

Aegis approached me with sparkling eyes.

To be honest, I was thinking maybe the sight of Brave chasing after Renandal-senpai and slashing him down was a bit immature. Attacking an opponent on their defenseless back wasn't exactly in Brave's chivalry code after all. However, Aegis was genuinely impressed.

I felt her eyes were even tinged with respect. Now, I was a bit embarrassed.

"What's our next move, Zephyr-san?"

"Hmm, everyone is done with healing. Alright, we're continuing our sweep of small castles. I received a report from Rina, and our opponents are apparently down to just seven members. We can pressure them to come after us, leaving them no choice. The obvious way is to lure them to our base, and then settle them once and for all. —What do you think, Rina?"

«Understood. Then I shall convey this to Sierra-san too."

"Alright, then we're splitting into teams. They would be I & Aegis, Pamela & Rika, and Lulu, Celia & Lacritta. Time to sweep all those squares."

" " "Understood." " "

"Rina, tell the members in the west there's another plan for them."

«Very well.»

Lacritta had recovered from her shock, so I decided it was time to move on.

Meanwhile, according to Rina, «Temple Saber» had all temporarily returned to gather at their base. I wasn't surprised, they'd lost their helm—the sub-guildmaster Cassand-senpai after all. A loss so significant definitely requires a meeting.

We used this chance to score more squares.

The Scoreboard of the Duel was—

«White - 13,880P» vs. «Red - 12,320P» [White in lead by 1560 points]

«ETA - 10 minutes and 46 seconds»

«Players - White (13) & Red (7)»

A small castle granted 440P, however there weren't many of them left behind. Our opponent could turn a table on us by bringing down one of the Giant Castle.

But if we sweep the remaining squares, they would be further constrained in their option, and would ultimately require bringing down two Giant Castles. Albeit, it was easier said than done for «Temple Saber» in their current situation. And neither enough time had left for them to stay still.

After losing their two leaders, the current members of «Temple Saber» were apparently being led by a female knight named Ruce. She gathered the panicking members, and with a five-person team, had begun marching toward southeast castle. The last two members appeared to be active in the west.

Unfortunately for them, we're not so hyperfocused on Giant Castle anymore.

"I expected them to take that route. Rina, it's the time."

«Understood! I will have Sierra-san's team immediately head for it!»
