Chapter 48: Chapter 48

Jonathan cheeks moved when he saw the system message. He wouldn’t say he wasn’t expecting this, well, the happiness didn’t feel like the first time, but it was good.

Jonathan came out of the room the next moment. Willow was waiting for him.

"That looks good on you. What do you think, captain."

She said as she turned to face Evan. Evan gave Willow a small nod, then he faced Jonathan.

"If you haven’t put on a uniform before, this is a tier two combat uniform. It increases your overall strength by 10% and it’s very durable to attacks as well, however you should be careful when facing a powerful foe because they can tear it down with a single move or so."

Jonathan eyebrows raised when he heard Evan words on the uniform. So this particular uniform increases his power by 10% and his system multiplies it by 10, meaning he would be having a 100% boost, and that was one times stronger than he ought to be. Which means he was currently two times stronger than before.

Jonathan cheeks raised to his eyes when he came to that conclusion. That was truly groundbreaking, God carefully arranged these gifts for him, definitely he would be able to crush skulls with these unique abilities.

Seeing Jonathan was smiling, Willow couldn’t help but voice out.

"It is just 10% that is not too groundbreaking. The highest progression on a combat uniform is 100%, if it was that then you should be smiling like this, not for 10%"

Everyone burst out laughing at that moment, including Jonathan who couldn’t hold his excitement when Willow said that.

He was wondering how putting on a uniform like that would be like, maybe Willow was right, he shouldn’t be smiling this big for 100%.

Evan cleared his throat after the laughter.

"That is enough, everyone. We got to get moving. A lot of damage has been done in these few moments we have wasted.

It’s time we get going."

Everyone’s facial expressions became serious at once. Evan took a deep breath and walked to the exit. Everyone slowly followed him from behind.

As they walked, Jonathan could see why the corridor was a long one, it was done on purpose.

It was more like a time of reflection for everyone. As he walked, he was thinking about the battlefield, what needed to be done in Baythorn and Dreamway as a whole, and he bet that was what everyone was thinking as well.

How to get things done.

Jonathan was expecting to see a garage as soon as they came out of the long corridor, but he was stupefied when he saw a helicopter far away.

Looking at the helicopter, it was larger, and more well reinforced than the ones on his previous world, the only thing that was missing was the weapon apart.

There were no machine guns nor rockets in the helicopter, just a normal transportation vehicle for air base .

He couldn’t believe that this world had the invention of his former world, but they couldn’t advance it to be a weapon.

No nuclear weapons, no guns not to talk of nuclear weapons.

Jonathan blamed himself for not being a mathematician or those big heads that know how to create things, otherwise he would’ve invented all the most dangerous weapons for Dreamway. With the presence of magic it would be even more deadly.

As they got close to the helicopter, Jonathan could see that Ezra was standing close to it. He entered when he saw them coming. He couldn’t believe the asshole actually left to the departure point because the captain allowed him into the team.

What a fool.

If only he knew what the leaders of Dreamway had installed for them, he would’ve been seeking refuge in another country by now.

Everyone entered the helicopter and it departed from the ground smoothly.

Inside was comfortable and there was a large table in the middle of the living space. The table was housing a super screen which had the map of Dreamway on it.

Ezra clicked the screen and it went straight to Baythorn.

Baythorn was showing red with fire symbols all over it.

Everyone’s expression darkened when the status of Baythorn was showing red.

"It must’ve been a massive attack. This is not the work of some group of intruders."

According to the report they got, the border was under massive attack currently, but that was the border, not Baythorn. Baythorn was a bit far from the Border so it shouldn’t be in a mess like it was showing on the super screen.

Unless the information on the screen was wrong, or Alphacrest targeted Baythorn as well as the border.

In no time they were close to Baythorn already and the state was truly on fire. A lot of things had been destroyed, and many monsters could be seen tearing buildings to the ground.

The sight of it caused everyone in the helicopter to have a terrified expression, however Jonathan was more emotional than them.

While everyone might be directing their rage to Alphacrest. He knew the source of this destruction was because of the people in power in Dreamway.

The enemy was only doing a little. The true demons were the people that were supposed to be protecting them.

They stopped looking at the view of Baythorn and turned to face the super screen again.

"We will be landing in the military base. Captain Jonah and his men had cleared a way for us there."

Jonathan eyebrows slowly pushed down to his eyes when he heard Jonah name. He remembered those bastards that were acting all cocky that day when Greyson and him came out of the prison building of the military.

With their cocky attitude that day, one might think they were Alpha and Omega.

They were in Baythorn this time, yet they couldn’t save the city from falling apart, not even the military base.

Jonathan looked ahead and saw the military base was on fire as well.

Not too long, the helicopter landed somewhere in the military base.

Everyone came out quickly. Jonah and his team were seen waiting for them some distance away.

"Captain Evan. Thank you for coming as quickly as possible. We need more hands here."

Jonah said as he approached Evan. They both shake hands and Evan voiced out.

"What is the casualty here? As we were coming, the city was in a Total mess, you upto have cleared the base already and should be advancing to the city."

Jonah nodded repeatedly to Evan’s words.

"That should’ve been the case, but these bastards started with the base. The people they sent here are most likely their elite which had to be the case anyway.

I am afraid I didn’t know that the city was under attack too, if not I wouldn’t have waited for aid to arrive first."

Evan broke the handshake then.

"Is there anything we need to know?"

Jonah wanted to respond when he saw Jonathan among them. His expression darken at once.

’What is this bastard doing here!’

Jonah’s expression suddenly brightened up when he thought about it again.

"Not much of a big deal, except we will have to split. You and your men should take the left hand side, while we take the right."

Evan faced his team at that moment.

"There is no time to waste. Let’s move!"

They were about heading to the left hand direction when Jonah voiced out again.

"Captain Evan. We are already short here, can I borrow one of your men."
