Hillary’s eyes were widely opened in shock. She couldn’t believe that Jonathan had unlocked a D ranked skill, and with the intensity of the attack, she suspects the level would be around level 7 to level 10.

Impossible!

How could Jonathan be able to progress his skill to that extent in such a short period of time.

According to Jonathan, he awakened his ability a few days before the invasion at Baytorn, which means Jonathan has been an awakener for utmost seven days or less than two weeks.

A progression like this would take more than a month if not two months or more.

There was no way somebody that became an awakener in less than two weeks would be capable of a feat like this, which brings Hillary to the conclusion she had been drawing from the beginning, that Jonathan was a liar.

’Lying bastard!

I bet he has probably been an awakener for over a year now.’

Hillary’s expression darkened. If only she had known, she would have prepared more vigorously for today.

Just then, Jonathan turned to face her.

Hillary’s heart missed beat when she saw Jonathan’s eyes, it was deadly and it caused her to be afraid.

It was as if Jonathan was telling her to back away.

The instructors on the upper floor were full of smiles seeing there were two outstanding soldiers among the new recruitments.

The bald headed man was seen nodding continuously as he stared at Jonathan.

"I had no idea he was such a badass. Jonathan Hayes, I will remember that name."

The lady from the temple was still in surprise by what she just witnessed but she wasn’t showing it like the rest instructors.

She couldn’t believe that Jonathan had advanced his skills to that extent, for somebody that was asking when to draw out a skill a few days ago.

Could it be he had awakened his ability even longer than he stated, but why would he lie.

She faced the bald headed man who was smiling brightly at Jonathan.

"Aaron, what level was that?"

Aaron turned to face the lady with a smile.

"Cecilia, don’t tell me you are interested in him. You are ten years older than him, what makes you think he would agree to you when there are other pretty girls in the new recruitments, who knows if he even has somebody back at home.

You might be beautiful Cecilia but that doesn’t mean you can get all the men you want.

And one thing you should ask yourself, would you even respect him, as a man, that is the only cheat code to...."

Aaron stopped when he saw the deadly look Cecilia was giving him. His expression changed to a poker one and he turned to face Jonathan with a serious expression.

"I believe that D ranked skill was probably at its maximum level."

Cecilia’s eyebrows raised a little when Aaron said that. She couldn’t believe that Jonathan already had a skill which was at the maximum level, and it was a D ranked skill.

Aaron’s voice was heard again.

"He probably has been awakener long before the new recruitment ceremony. Perhaps a year, given his progression and his skill collection."

Cecilia looked back at Jonathan, with her eyebrows reaching to her eyes.

"Who exactly are you?"

New giant spiders started forming in the premises again. Jonathan quickly turned to face them. Before they could even think of approaching the new recruitment. Jonathan smashed his fist on their body.

Bang!

Jonathan killed five more giant spiders, adding to his total of kills.

Hillary was still motionless on her spot due to the fear she just received, but seeing Jonathan taking down five more giant spiders, something exploded inside her.

’AAAAA’

Hillary screamed out in her mind. She held her katana tightly and smashed forward to the other direction the giant spiders were coming out from.

’There is no way I am losing to you!’

Hillary said in her mind as she threw herself to all the giant spiders.

"Savage Slash!"

She cut down several spiders to the ground, but just as she did several loud sounds were heard. She looked at the direction and she saw that Jonathan wasn’t waiting for her to perform, he was demolishing any spider he could find.

The thought of losing sank into Hillary’s head and she turned into a madwoman.

"Savage Slash!"

Hillary brought down several spiders to the ground. Her clothes were soaked with the green blood of the spiders and her breathing was above normal.

Her eyes were on the floor as she was staring at the unknown. She couldn’t believe she lost to Jonathan.

Jonathan on the other hand was panting heavily as well. His hands were covered with the green blood of the spiders and there were some splashes on his uniform, however it wasn’t as much as the splashes on Hillary’s clothes.

There were no longer spiders in the hall, just the pieces of the demolished spiders. Hillary gained control of her breathing and turned to face Jonathan who was just behind her.

"You were more than twenty kills ahead of me, but when I entered my godly mode, you couldn’t keep up with me. You should count your lucky stars that there weren’t more spiders to kill, otherwise you wouldn’t have passed me with five kills."

Hillary’s voice was loud, however Jonathan pretended that he didn’t hear what she said. She was lucky that he didn’t plan to reveal all his skills here, so he doesn’t get questioned later on, if not he would’ve killed all the spiders before she even think of drawing her katana out.

Jonathan finally moved his attention to Hillary. He must admit the truth, Hillary was pretty damn strong, even though she came from a noble family like everyone claims, she seemed to be a hard working beast. This makes him wonder what was Hillary’s status in the family.

He hoped the fact that she didn’t awaken the family special abilities doesn’t make her an outcast in the family.

Seeing Jonathan was looking at her without saying anything, Hillary couldn’t help but think Jonathan was checking her out.

"What are you looking at, you old brat!"

Hillary eyebrows pushed down to her eyes as she glared at Jonathan. She wanted to continue when the ground suddenly vibrated. The vibration continued for over a minute before Antonio’s voice was heard.
