Reincarnated: I Became The First Warlord Of The World-Chapter 37
Jonathan closed his eyes and instantly appeared at the magical path. Seeing the endless stairs that were in front of him, Jonathan wanted to continue his magical progression immediately, but he had to control himself. He didn’t want eyes to be on him, seven days from now he would be out of the headquarters, and then he would be able to progress on his magical path for as much as he wants without being obligated to show anyone of his magical path.
It was because he was under these instructors that was why he had to show them his progression, otherwise he wouldn’t.
Once he leaves the headquarters, that authority over him would be gone, so nobody would ask him any questions and he wouldn’t answer anybody.
Jonathan took a leap at that moment and he appeared in the magical path training ground. He would continue his progression and stop at the passage between the third stage and the second stage, that way he would still appear to everyone as somebody in the second stage, meanwhile he was only one step away from entering the third stage.
He would love to do that now, but he chooses to focus on his skills first. He heard from the superior when coming to the temple that there was a combat training coming up and it would be very intense.
For that, he must advance the skills Greyson gave him, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to deliver an outstanding performance on the combat training, and he didn’t want Hillary to outshine him.
Hillary was at the fourth stage of the magical path, that might sound impressive but without skills her progression was practically useless.
He believes Hillary has some good skills in her collection, but she probably wouldn’t have any skill that she had advanced to the maximum level, so this would be his advantage.
He would try to carry all his skills to the maximum level before the combat training, with that he would be able to outshine Hillary and become the face of the new recruitment.
Jonathan took his stance when he was done fantasizing his win.
"D ranked skill: Body Slam."
He had decided to continue with the progression of his D ranked skill.
He was currently at level five so there were five remaining levels before he would get to the maximum level, and God knows when before he would get a plus sign.
He wanted to see how a plus sign would be like on a D ranked skill. Jaguar claws were amazing, but how amazing would a D ranked skill be at plus sign.
Jonathan began his practice immediately. He practiced for a couple of hours before he finally got the Body Slam skill to the maximum level.
"D ranked skill: Body Slam"
"Level: 10"
An explosive force energy cloaked Jonathan and he was immediately smashed to the walls of the dojo. His body slammed the wall hard, but there wasn’t a single crack on the wall.
Jonathan cheeks moved seeing his collision didn’t scatter it. He wondered if the wall could ever be damaged. Logically, that wouldn’t be possible, and even if it does, the wall would definitely rebuild again.
With the hardness of the wall, Jonathan suspected that only an A ranked skill might pose a threat of causing damage to the wall.
When he was done with the conclusion. Jonathan went back to the other side of the wall again. As he leveled up, not only did the skill become more powerful, the range of the attack was also increased, which was why he slammed into the wall.
Jonathan wanted to perform the skill again when he suddenly received a system message.
[You have consumed all your energy.
You will have to wait for 24 minutes to fully recover it back]
Jonathan was surprised he was out of energy already. He truly wanted to see what having a plus sign would be like, well, he only had to wait for twenty four minutes, unlike everyone else.
Jonathan sat on the ground. Looking at the system counting down the minutes was exhausting so he decided to come back to the real world.
As Jonathan came back, he was surprised that Hillary and the lady were talking, and Hillary seemed to be leaving the temple.
Jonathan stood up and approached them.
"Have you consumed your energy already?"
The lady asked as she turned to face Jonathan. She was surprised that Jonathan was up already.
"I was in the magical path before I came here. That was one of the reasons I came late."
The lady gave Jonathan a small nod.
"I am surprised that you are out already. Eating up a full energy usually takes ten hours, regardless of the size of the energy core. You have only been inactive for an hour."
Jonathan’s eyes widened in shock when he heard the lady’s words. It felt like he had been in the training ground for over seven hours or more, how come only an hour had passed in the real world.
He was confused, could it be because of his 10X progression rate, he experienced the actual time he should be spending for just one hour in the real world.
If that was the case, then he shouldn’t have been coming late. He thought about it and discovered that he came late because he also progressed on his magical path and that doesn’t have any time limits.
Jonathan’s cheeks moved when he got the whole picture. He was practically a god among men. While the rest would take ten hours to work on their skills, he only needed one hour and it would be the same output like everyone, not just the same output, but his progression rate was still better.
"Since you have been training beforehand, I suppose that is the case."
The lady concluded the topic herself. Jonathan gave a small nod as he approached the exit. He stopped close to her when he decided to ask another question.
"Ma, I think the fifth stage would be a far distance to accomplish, is there no other way to get a B ranked skill without entering the fifth stage of the magical path."
Hillary’s eyebrows moved a little when Jonathan said that.
’What a joke.’
She sounded in her mind as she looked away.
The lady thought about it for a while.
"You could be lucky in getting a B ranked skill at the third stage of the magical path. I have seen that happen before but that person was putting on a magical boosting item which increased his luck."
Jonathan cheeks moved when he heard the person was putting on a magical boosting item.
He had more than that.
"You don’t have one so it would be hard to say you will have that luck, but you could try, perhaps you would get a C ranked skill."
"Thank you, ma."
Jonathan said with a smile. Now he knew he would be able to get a B ranked skill at the third stage of the magical path, and it would only be possible because he had the system progression rate with him.
Jonathan was about to walk away when Hillary voiced out.
"What is the need of having a B ranked skill at the third stage when you won’t be able to use it until you get to the fifth stage of your magical path.
I wonder if you live under a rock or you have just been born into this world."
Jonathan eyebrows raised to his forehead when he heard that. He totally forgot that he wouldn’t be able to use a B ranked skill unless he was at the fifth stage of his magical path.
Now that he thought about it, he had a B ranked skill that Greyson gave him. He was planning to give it out because he didn’t know how long it would take him to reach the fifth stage of the magical path, but since he started his progression, he was confident he would get to the fifth stage in no time, so he might not hand the B ranked skill over again.
Anyway, it all depends if he finds a suitable senior to give it to, he wouldn’t just give it to a nobody because he wanted a hundred progression rate on the skill. Well, that wasn’t all that bad.
Now that he thinks about it, the bald headed man was at the fifth stage of his magical path, he could give it to him and receive the hundred percent progression rate immediately.
Jonathan wondered how much improvement that would be.
When he was done with his thoughts, he faced Hillary with a smile.
"It’s not a bad thing to have it early. It’s not like I am going to die before I reach the fifth stage."
With that, Jonathan walked away. His thoughts were occupied with how he could get stronger before the war commenced fully.
All he had was seven days. Just seven days.
Jonathan was still thinking about it when Hillary blocked his path, she placed her hands on his chest stopping him from advancing any further.
Jonathan was dumbfounded by this.
’What the hell is she doing?’
Jonathan thought in his mind.
Hillary’s eyes were on the floor. Her eyes were deadly. Never had anybody put logic to her words before. Jonathan dared to say she didn’t know what she was saying.
’How dare this commoner!’
Hillary raised her head to look at Jonathan.
"Challenge accepted."
She simply said as she looked Jonathan in the eyes.
’No way I am losing to you, asshole!’
