Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 533: Did He Change?
After Memphis waved her hand at the time bubble, Ozia paid close attention.
With his new perception of the Flow of Time, he saw how a visible stream surrounded the time bubble, slowly deconstructing it from its spherical shape and size.
His two eyes held a faint greenish glow as they watched the time bubble gradually dissolve.
As the Massive bubble dissolved, the time within began to adjust and slow down, eventually matching the time of the real universe.
Soon, the time bubble was gone completely and the whole continent was stabilized.
Time had returned to normal.
Almost.
Memphis frowned as she looked upon the free land, seeing something that was beyond her wildest expectations.
She didn’t know how to describe what she was seeing and it was the same for Ozia. Exalon could not immediately point out the oddity but he could sense that things were not all right.
"Mentor, are you still trying to hold back?" Ozia asked.
He saw a dome of shimmering gold colour, and within this dome, time was a bit slower than it was in the main world.
"That’s not my doing..." Memphis said, narrowing her eyes as she began to walk forward.
Exalon flexed his shoulders and stood up from the rock he was sitting on. His body floated lightly as a feather into the sky and flew ahead.
Ozia tilted his head, confused, he recognized the shade of gold that made up the transparent dome, but he didn’t want to believe it just yet.
Was he that powerful?
"Memphis, what’s happening?" Exalon asked while flying above.
Below, Memphis continued observing the shimmering transparent golden dome that was gradually fading away.
She noticed that although the flow of time inside the dome was not the same as the main world, it also wasn’t that significant.
At most, it was about five minutes in this shimmering done for one minute in the main world.
And the time dilation was constantly getting weaker.
"This is the work of the All-King," Memphis admitted, surprised by the words that came out of her mouth.
"What?" Exalon exclaimed, "He doesn’t have any time powers, not that I’m aware of any?
Or did he have it before now?" He asked, trying to wrap his brain around the truth of what was happening.
The trio drew closer to the shimmering dome and stood right before it. None of them tried to cross the barrier and enter.
"No, if he had an energy pool for time powers, I would have detected it. He may be able to hide many things from me, but the unnatural flow of time cannot be hidden from a time lion.
Even Ozia would have noticed," Memphis said.
She raised her hand and placed it on the surface of the shimmering golden dome. She felt some resistance but was aware that a little push would pull her in.
"So, what is it then?" Ozia asked.
"The All-King seems to have almost gained absolute control over his environment within the time bubble.
I can sense the desire to dominate and the world’s wish to bow.
By World, I mean everything. It appears that for a brief period of time, the All-King actually conquered Time itself."
Exalon opens his mouth to speak but finally shuts it after not knowing what to say. What was he even supposed to say?
How can someone conquer time without having time powers? Is that even possible?
"And from the looks of it, he wasn’t even aware of it until recently," Memphis added, her nose twitching as she sniffed out the flow happening within the dome.
"It’s fading, fast," Ozia said.
Memphis nodded, "Yes, the universe and heaven still hold supreme control over the stability of time.
Even the All-King with his current power cannot forcefully defy the flow of time.
But nonetheless, it is impressive. His intent for power and conquest could actually lead to such a phenomenon with his new power level.
It is incredible."
A few seconds later, the shimmering dome finally faded away.
This time, there was nothing to serve as a hindrance to the universal flow of time.
Everything returned to normal.
Exalon breathed a sigh of relief, Ozia was anxious, and Memphis returned to her calm state.
It was all quiet.
It was all peaceful.
Too peaceful.
*WHOOM!*
A golden pulse spread out.
*BAM!*
Exalon’s body immediately slammed into the ground as though he had entered a realm of incredibly high gravity.
The ground beneath their feet cracked, shattered, and trembled.
Ozia had to fall to his knees to keep on supporting himself. The land cracked when his knees smashed into the ground. His hands sank into the soil and beads of sweat rolled off his forehead and cheeks.
Exalon stood up effortlessly from the small crater, a seriously annoyed expression on his face.
Memphis on the other hand did not seem too bothered by the terrifying pressure that had come upon them. She merely acknowledged it and returned her focus to the distant golden figure.
"Katari! What is the meaning of this?" Exalon shouted, brushing the dust off his attire with a casual flex of his muscles.
His tail beat the ground and his sats twitched around like satellites.
Suddenly, Katari appeared in front of the trio, with long black hair that reached her waist, and dusty clothes adorned her visage.
"You’re not showing respect," Katari stated plainly with an indifferent expression on her face.
Memphis frowned, her green eyes settling on Katari’s figure.
"So, Katari, you’ve reached tier 6, just like that.
I’d say you’ve done very well. If it weren’t for the fact that I’m looking at you with my own two eyes, I would never believe that you were this close to me.
Well done."
Katari acted like she didn’t hear any of Memphis’s praise, she had her own thoughts, thoughts which were very dangerous should she act on them.
"Auntie Katari? It’s me!" Ozia begged, struggling to get up, only causing more cracks on the floor.
Katari’s deep black pupils navigated to align with Ozia’s body, "I know," She said before turning her attention back to Memphis and Exalon.
"I’m not crazy," She said, talking to Exalon, "I’m in love."
Exalon felt like banging his head on the nearest tree.
’No, you’re definitely crazy, you’re just in denial!’ Of course, Exalon didn’t let those thoughts come out of his mouth.
"Katari, stop showing off..." A deep voice echoed from the depths of space behind Katari.
Katari turned around swiftly just in time to see a tall blonde-haired man with a long beard stepping out of a spatial fold.
She recognised him, as though he was the same person she had seen yesterday.
Those beautiful golden irises, the messy blonde hair. His beards were now full and bushy.
He was still taller than her, just as she remembered, tall enough for her to rest her head in his powerful chest.
Kael, stepping out of the spatial fold, wore a peculiarly calm expression.
His eyes, which were like the most expensive jewels to exist, contained clarity and understanding.
There was a vibe about Kael that was difficult to explain with simple words.
He no longer felt like a regular being following every whim of the universe. No, Kael had the vibe and presence of someone who actually knew what he wanted and where he was going.
This was someone who had taken the first step to leaving the chessboard and becoming a chess player.
Even though he didn’t need it, he took a deep breath in, pulling in the little atmospheric particles into his lungs which were crushed and obliterated before being shot out of his nostrils in different chemical compounds.
"Your Majesty," Katari bowed, going low until she formed a ninety-degree angle with her body.
She didn’t care what anyone thought of her, as long as she was satisfying Kael, she would be satisfied.
The edges of Kael’s lips rose slightly and his eyes flashed with newfound intent, "I see, tier 6.
How come?" He asked as he closed the gap between him and Katari in the blink of an eye.
Katari wore a sweet smile on her face. She felt Kael’s large hand caressing her smooth cheeks and leaned into its warmth.
"I think I’m obsessed with you, Your Majesty," Katari said, rather bashfully.
The pressure she had sustained on the trio behind her was cancelled out the moment Kael arrived.
Ozia was able to stand up and assess his father. He stood still, regulating his breath and becoming extremely nervous for some reason.
"Hmm, we shall see," Kael said with his smirk slowly transforming into a disturbingly dark smile.
"All-King," Exalon called, interrupting the moment Katari and Kael were having.
Kael’s smile turned into a more pleasing spread but Katari’s expression instantly turned dark.
"Exalon, you look well," Kael said, walking away from Katari to Exalon.
"How are you feeling, All-King?" Exalon asked, being able to notice the slight change in Kael’s attitude.
He seemed a bit too...
Clear-headed? Thoughtful? Simplistic? Or complex.
"I’m fine," Kael said, even as millions of thoughts went through his head and the Conqueror’s Intent and Logic solidified.
"Are you?" Memphis decided to speak up now.
Kael glanced at her, he smiled, "Yes, I’ve never been better. All thanks to you of course.
I am deeply satisfied with my gains and I can’t wait to get busy, if you know what I mean.
As you wish, I’ll help you avoid trouble as much as possible." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Hearing this, Memphis hesitated, didn’t she want something else?
Exalon gave her a side glance but didn’t say anything. He had an eerie feeling that Kael was critically studying their every move.
"Oh," Kael seemed to remember something, "Memphis, can I ask you for something else?" He asked calmly, still wearing that creepy yet casual smile.
"What is it?" Memphis wondered.
"Can you please gather all your subordinates on this continent? The foreigners precisely.
I’d like to take care of something before I leave.
Thank you."
