Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance-Chapter 32. A Memory.
Mira called out to Ray, but he couldn’t hear her.
She tried to touch him but her hands went right through him.
Seeing this, Mira’s eyes widened in surprise until she shifted her attention to the letter Ray was holding.
She couldn’t decipher everything written in the letter, but a few words stood out and caught her attention.
"It’s Marcus, my boy... I’m sorry to say this and I deeply regret being the one to do this but... Mira..... couldn’t... pay tax..... resisted arrest... assaulted the guards of... executed."
"Bullshit!!" The imaginary Ray in front of Mira crumpled the letter in rage as he read the last part of the letter. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
He couldn’t believe that Mira would do anything to go against the Baron, but what was hurting him the most was the fact that the girl he’d had a crush on for years was now dead.
Ray clenched his fists even more and yelled out in a loud scream.
Mira, watching all of these unravel in front of her, could now feel the intense emotion coursing through his body.
Just like Ray, tears had begun to stream down her cheeks.
She tried to get close to Ray once again and hug him. But the memory in front of her suddenly shifted toward something else.
Now, Mira could see a really depressed Ray holding another letter with trembling hands.
Even before opening it, he, and even she, could already feel the foreboding atmosphere emanating from the letter.
Still, Ray opened the letter and began reading its contents.
Once again, Mira couldn’t read the entire content of the letter, only parts of it.
"I’m sorry my boy, but Helen and Emma... monster tide... village overrun... many died... your mom and sister..."
Ray didn’t scream this time around.
He simply sat there, staring at nothing with hollowed eyes.
For the first time in his life, Ray felt alone.
Really alone.
He had lost the love of his life a few weeks ago and now his beautiful mother and sister were gone as well.
Ray clutched his chest as a sharp pain stabbed through his chest, forcing Mira to clutch her chest as well.
She could feel his pain and this time, it hurt ten times more than it did the last time.
Mira tried to move, to comfort her boyfriend who was crying in front of her, but once again, the memory in front of her faded and Mira watched as her boyfriend vanished into thin air.

A single tear streamed down her cheek as Mira let out a gasp, then her hand quickly flew to her mouth.
"Mira?" Helen called out the moment she heard her gasp.
She was currently sitting next to Mira so there was no way she could have missed it, but at the same time, she noticed the tear streaming down her left eye.
"Mira? Is something wrong? Why are you crying?" Helen asked worriedly and Mira blinked twice as she realized that the room was no longer blurry anymore.
The memory she had been stuck in, had dissipated completely.
Now, she was back to the present, but she could still feel Ray’s emotions through the bond they both shared.
She was now certain that Ray’s strong and consuming hatred was aimed straight at the Baron and no one else.
Mira glanced at Helen and noticed that she was still looking at her worriedly. "I’m... I’m fine. I just felt a bit dizzy, that’s all." Mira stood up as she excused herself from the room.
Meanwhile, Marcus continued to talk about the options that they could implement, like petitions and negotiations. But Mira could barely hear what the old man was saying as she stepped out of the living room and went into the kitchen.
Upon arriving at the kitchen, Mira suddenly noticed something glowing underneath her shirt in her chest region.
She lowered her shirt a bit, revealing the cleavage of her massive E-Cup boobs, only to see a mark there.
The harem mark had repositioned itself from the top of her tailbone to the center of her chest.
Mira stared at it a little longer until it suddenly vanished as though it had never even been there.

An hour later, Marcus left the house, promising to speak with the village elders about their options.
Meanwhile, Emma, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation, had gone to bed early after feeling troubled by the news she had heard.
Helen, on the other hand, was cleaning up after dinner, but she had a worried look etched on her face.
Ray was currently sitting on the porch, staring at the darkening sky, while Mira stood in the doorway, watching him.
She could still feel the echoes of his rage and anger, but they were quieter now.
A few minutes later, Helen retired to her room but Mira slipped outside to sit beside Ray.
They were quiet for a long time until Mira finally decided to speak.
"Ray? Can I ask you something?"
"Of course, what is it?" Ray looked at her as he waited for her to say what was on her mind.
Mira hesitated a bit before saying it. "You remember when we were kids and would always hear stories from my Dad and Mom about some adventurers awakening rare classes."
"Yes, I do. But what about it?"
"I remember my dad telling us that some adventurers are blessed by the goddess to see certain events before they even happen."
Ray smiled a bit as he recalled Mira’s father telling those stories to them. "Yes, I remember those stories as well. But why are you asking..."
"Ray?"
"Yeah?"
"When you awakened? Did you have a vision?"
"A vision? Why would you ask that?"
"Because I saw something. It felt like a memory, but I could feel that it was yet to happen. I saw you crying, Ray. You were holding a letter Marcus had written to you, and the letter said... It said that I was..." She couldn’t finish saying what she saw.
